Earlier this year we announced that we were on the hunt for Ireland’s most style-savvy fashionista.

We said that the crown was reserved for the blogger, social media star or famous face who is absolutely killing it on the fashion scene right now.

And you guys responded in your droves.

So, without further ado, here are the five finalists for our Style Icon of the Year Award!

Courtney Smith

As a stylist, creative director and all-round fashionista, Courtney Smith's appeal cannot be overestimated.

With fans and followers that number in their tens of thousands, Courtney's contribution to the world of fashion is one of the most impactful of the last decade.

Louise Cooney

Dividing her time between the worlds of fashion and travel, Louise Cooney has made a serious name for herself as a style icon.

With a background in Communications & Marketing, Louise has a knack for making style relatable and fashion fun.

Clementine MacNeice

One of the most sought after stylists in Ireland today, Clementine's route to the world of fashion was somewhat unconventional.

Having initially embarked upon an English and Drama degree in Trinity College, Clementine couldn't ignore her passion for fashion, and ultimately threw herself into various style-related jobs before establishing herself within the industry she loves.

Suzanne Jackson

Over the course of seven years, Suzanne has watched her blog, SoSueMe, go from strength to strength.

And with over a million followers worldwide, the beauty and lifestyle fashionista recently decided to branch into the world of design cementing her reputation as a bonafide style icon.

Vogue Williams

Having first come to public prominence for her role in reality TV show Fade Street, Vogue's career has gone from strength to strength over the last seven years.

And while currently best known for her role in media, Vogue's modelling background means her flair for fashion always shines through.

From Snapchat heroes and inspiring Instagrammers to fearless Facebookers and tenacious Tweeters, this award is reserved for the star of Ireland's social media scene.

And let's be honest, we're positively falling over ourselves with the number of worthy recipients right now.

Having trawled through thousands of nominations, our panel of judges whittled it down to the following five.

Sooo, without further ado, here are the finalists for SHEmazing's Social Influencer of the Year Award.

James Kavanagh

A veritable Snapchat superstar, James Kavanagh made a name for himself by sharing hilarious snapshots of his day to day life with legions of fascinated followers.

Let's put it this way, even if you're not on Snapchat, you know who James Kavanagh is.

Grace Mongey

One of Ireland's best known bloggers, Grace's social media star went stratospheric when she made the decision to Snapchat the birth of her baby daughter last year.

While seeringly honest and hugely relatable, the Tallaght-native has faced criticism during her time on the social media scene, but always comes back fighting.

Cliona Kelly

A fashion, style and beauty blogger, Cliona Kelly is our third finalist for Social Influencer of the Year.

While studying fro her Masters in journalism back in 2013, Cliona decided to create a blog… and a social media star was born.

Joanne Larby

The face behind The Make Up Fairy, Joanne Larby divides her time between fitness, fashion and beauty, and seeks to motivate and inspire across all realms.

Having qualified as a professional make up artist, Joanne sought to share her thoughts and insights with an online community, and ultimately amassed a following that numbers in its thousands.

Sarah Hanrahan

Food, fashion and lifestyle is the name of Sarah Hanrahan's game, and with her blog I Come Undone, she shares an insight into the things which make her tick.

From flea markets to foodie events, Sarah explores Dublin with 'all the gusto of a first-time tourist' and boasts thousands of fascinated followers.

If there's one track guaranteed to get everyone up at a party in Ireland, it's Mark McCabe's Maniac 2000.

And while we've spent almost two decades throwing shapes to the original, who are we say it's not due a makeover?

Taking the track in hand, trad band, Ruaile Buaile, from Co Offaly, gave it the traditional treatment, and we're actually obsessed.

Shared on YouTube on Friday, the video has amassed almost 60,000 views, with fans of the lads' version wasting no time sharing their support.

"Huge tune, lads." wrote one while another added: "Well done lads! Brilliant!"

Stunned by the response, the lads took to Facebook to share their thoughts, writing: "We are currently trending on Youtube, and we cannot believe it."

"But most importantly, a huge, massive thank you to all of you for watching, you are all legends! Keep watching and keep sharing."

You heard 'em, ladies.

We were on the lookout for the most talented creative in Ireland right now, and we needed your help.

From writers, illustrators and musicians, to makeup and tattoo artists and beyond; we wanted to know whose star was burning brightest and whose creative streak has added more than a splash of colour to your landscape.

Boasting tens of thousands of loyal followers online, Lisa's eye for style and passion for fashion is undeniable.

Blaithin Ennis

Within a year of graduating from the National College of Art and Design in Dublin, Bláithín set up her own award winning and contemporary handmade jewellery label.

Based from her studio in the South east of Ireland, Bláithín creates truly stunning pieces which have taken the industry in this country by storm.

Mike Gibson

A self-taught artist, Mike Gibson's stunning depiction of numerous A-list stars has garnered him an enormous online following.

From Adele and Conor McGregor to Rihanna and Eminem, Mike's illustrations are nothing short of breathtaking.

Louise O’Neill

Once called the 'best YA fiction writer alive today' by The Guardian, Louise O'Neill's name is synonymous with talent, feminism, activism and creativity.

From Only Ever Yours to Asking For It, Louise's impact on the literary scene cannot be overestimated.

Whether it's Nervous, Bitter Pill or his version of City of Stars, this singer/ songwriter just keeps knocking it out of the park.

Stephen James Smith

A veritable wordsmith, Stephen James Smith took the nation by storm in recent months with his poem My Ireland.

Reflecting on the various elements that help to comprise and define contemporary Ireland, Stephen tapped into the psyche of a nation and earned thousands of new fans in return.

Jack Reynor

Perhaps best known for his roles in What Richard Did, Sing Street and Free Fire, Jack Reynor's film career shows no signs of slowing down any time soon.

Talented, charming, and down-to-earth, it's no surprise Jack Reynor made it on your list.

Philly McMahon

Our fifth finalist comes in the form of Dublin GAA player Philly McMahon.

If you're one of the millions who still knows the lyrics to My Lovely Horse off by heart, you may need to sit down before reading on.

According to emerging reports, the people behind our beloved Fr Ted are not adverse to the notion of bringing Craggy Island, and the folk who populate it, to the big stage.

Speaking to the Sunday Business Post, the show's creator, Graham Linehan, acknowledged that the transition would have to facilitate a fairly whopper storyline.

"It would have to be about Ted becoming Pope, or some weird succession thing that means Ted’s next in line. It would have to be substantial and big," he argued.

"I think there is an argument you could make a Ted musical where you really go for the jugular and you get all the things people loved about it, all the innocence and all the sweetness, but introduce a harder edge."

Anyone else see Graham Norton reprising the role of Fr. Noel Furlong for this one?!

Festival season is almost here, and although many of us were left utterly devastated when tickets for this year’s Electric Picnic sold out before any of the acts had even been announced, there is still tonnes to choose from.

Groove festival, is returning to Kilruddery House, Bray, Co. Wicklow on August 19 and 20.

Now in its fifth year, this fully independent music festival will play host to over 25 acts across two stages over the weekend, with Primal Scream and UB40 set to headline.

Today the festival announced some huge additions to the line-up. 

Hudson Taylor, Hothouse Flowers will take to the Main Stage, while Daithí and John Smith will headline the Sony Xperia Stage.

Jerry Fish, Columbia Mills, Cry Before Dawn, Spring Break, Na Fianna, Ailbhe Reddy and many more will also perform across the weekend.

Early bird tickets are available until April 21 and are an absolute steal at €49.50 each.

There are few things more harrowing than the morning after the night before when work looms large on the horizon and you genuinely don't know if you're capable of human interaction such is the extent of your hangover.

With a dry mouth, a pounding head and a healthy dose of The Fear, you attempt to go about your daily routine, and – we'll be honest here –  you fail miserably.

While cleaning your teeth and brushing your hair wouldn't reduce you to tears on a standard morning, it's enough to leave you a trembling mess after one too many gins and the discovery of a rogue chicken nugget in your bed.
