We have been waiting patiently for weeks, but Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes have finally revealed the name they gave their daughter – and it’s so beautiful.

According to a birth certificate obtained by entertainment website TMZ, the couple have chosen to name their daughter Esmeralda Amada Gosling.

A Disney-inspired name – who would have thought it?!

Eva gave birth to the couple’s first child on September 12th, but the couple remained tight-lipped over details of her birth, including the name.

While we have yet to see a picture of the Hollywood couple’s daughter, we are sure that she is just as beautiful as her name!

Although it's only been two months since the pregnancy was confirmed, Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling are now the proud parents of a baby girl.

Us Weekly confirmed that Eva gave birth on Friday. The couple have kept extremely quiet about Eva's pregnancy – she was seven months along before they confirmed she was expecting. Earlier this year, Eva even laughed off pregnancy rumours on The Ellen Show, saying they were "so ridiculous." Awkward!

Apparently Ryan has been every inch the attentive boyfriend though. "Ryan has already stepped into the role of caring father-to-be," a source told Us Weekly recently. "[Eva's] been wanting pasta, and he's cooking her meals." Awww!

The couple first started dating in 2011 – much to our devastation – after they co-starred in The Place Beyond the Pines.

It has been reported that Rachel McAdams is “devastated” by the news of Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes’ baby news.

OK magazine have said that a source close to the actress reported: [Rachel]’s devastated.”

Rachel and Ryan dated from 2005 until 2007 with a brief reconciliation in 2008 before ending things for good.

It has also been said that the reason the couple broke up was due to Rachel not being ready to have children.

Rachel is now said to be dating Jake Gyllenhaal, so we’re sure he’ll comfort her just fine…

It's never easy when an ex moves on once and for all, but we're sure Rachel is happy for Ryan and Eva.

The news broke last week that Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes are rumoured to be expecting their first child together.

While we’re still coming to terms with this – more rumours are now emerging that the couple could be getting married quite soon.

Yes, you read that right. A close friend of Eva’s has revealed, that the couple plan on getting married soon after the arrival of their first child.

“I think they will wed after the baby is born. Eva would love to eventually marry Ryan and be a family with their new baby.”

While both Ryan and Eva have yet to confirm the good news, several sources have confirmed that Eva is expecting, and even American TV presenter Ellen DeGeneres, tweeted her congratulations to the couple.

Ryan and Eva have been dating after working together on the 2011 film, The Place Beyond the Pines. 

Oh well, we’ll just watch The Notebook instead.

Split rumours are rife as Ryan Gosling got very cosy with his stunning co-star at Cannes, while girlfriend Eva Mendes stayed at home.

Ryan was at the Cannes Film Festival promoting his directorial début, Lost River and was spotted getting close with the movie’s leading lady, Christina Hendricks.

Ryan and Christina are said to have had amazing chemistry onset and are reportedly spending a LOT of time together since the movie wrapped.

The pair got very friendly when they starred together in Drive a couple of years ago, but have reportedly gotten even closer since.

Things are said to have gotten pretty tense at Cannes as Christina’s hubby Geoffrey Arend – who was at the festival- was seen frantically trying to keep the pair apart when they weren’t on the red carpet.

He has his work cut out for him there!

Ryan Gosling doesn’t openly talk about his girlfriend of three years, Eva Mendez.

But the 33-year-old actor made it pretty clear just how serious things are between him and the actress at the movie premerie of his most recent film, White Shadow. 

Ryan was spotted wearing a sliver chain necklace with a pendant stamped with the name of Eva’s dog, Hugo.

Despite all of that speculation that Eva and Ryan have spilt for good, Gosling’s necklace definitely seems to suggest otherwise.

Oh well, we’ll just have to settle for watching Ryan in The Notebook then.
