It seems that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are determined to put on a brave face as they weather the storm of divorce rumours.

Reports have been circulating about the Hollywood couple’s seemingly imminent split in recent weeks. Ben had reportedly even gone as far as beginning talks with divorce attorneys.

But thankfully it looks as if the couple are going to give their marriage another go. Sources close to the pair have revealed that they are planning on spending time together as a family this summer.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the source said that Ben and Jen’s relationship is “fine”. The couple must be trying to deflect the separation rumours as they were seen out together with their kids over the weekend.

The Gone Girl star and 43-year-old Jennifer have three children together: Violet; nine; Seraphina; six; and Samuel; three. The couple met in 2003, and despite both being in relationships at the time (Jen was married and Ben was engaged to Jlo), they married two years later, in 2005.

Let's hope that they avoid a messy €140million divorce that would entail difficult custody battles.  We're all praying that our favourite Hollywood couple instead just work it out.

It’s official. Benedict Cumberbatch and his beautiful wife, Sophie Hunter, have become parents for the first time.

Reps for the couple confirmed the news this evening saying, “Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter are delighted to announce the arrival of their beautiful son.”

“We would kindly ask everyone to respect the family’s privacy during these next few precious weeks,” the statement went on to say.

The Imitation Game star and Ms Hunter became engaged in November 2014. It was announced only two months later that they were expecting their first child.

Sophie is a 37-year-old English theatre and opera director, playwright, actress, and singer. She and her Oscar-nominated husband tied the knot last Valentine’s Day.

The gorgeous couple have been spending the last few months preparing for the arrival of their son. The 38-year-old star of Sherlock revealed that he was “not nervous at all” about parenthood, while attending the Oscars with his then pregnant wife.

Benedict is set to star in a huge number of films in the coming year. Among these is the film Black Mass, which also stars Johnny Depp and Dakota Johnson, and is set for release this September.

Thank you Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan!

From their incredible €1.4m wedding in Suffolk on May 24, to last night's last night-out in Dubai – they've thrown us sneak-peaks and snap-shots of their brand new, fabulous life as husband and wife.

Here, and for your viewing pleasure, we’ve gathered all the couples’s divine snaps from their incredible honeymoon getaways to the paradise Indian Ocean island of The Maldives, and latterly, to the luxurious Middle Eastern city of Dubai.

Fair warning though: its pretty envy inducing…

Starting off in The Maldives, they stayed on the island of Maafushivaru. There the couple wasted no time indulging in some rest and relaxation. Mark shared the now practically famous photo of his new wife looking out at the crystal blue ocean and proudly captioned the shot with the hashtag #mrswright.

Saying he was “buzzing” for the journey ahead he shared another picture of the stunning island at sunset.

The couple also downed shots by the pool – to show their fans, no doubt, that they were having plenty of fun, as well as gazing lovingly into each other's eyes.

Up next, the duo made their way to Dubai. There, the former Towie star and his actress wife stayed at the luxury resort Atlantis The Palm. How luxury, you ask? Well, the underwater Atlantis room costs €7,200 a night. Fancy!

The couple would have enjoyed unlimited use of the resort's famed Aquaventure water park. Not only that, but they would have been given exclusive access to VIP private pool and beach areas. All part of their posh honeymoon package, natch. The 28-year-olds aren’t the only ones to share a room with stingrays, either: fellow celeb Khloe Kardashian is reported to have stayed in the very same spectacular room.

While in Dubai, Michelle took the opportunity to model some of the pieces from her successful Lipsy collection. Keeping with the bridal theme, the newlywed looked stunning in a white maxi with gold accessories.

The pair seemed to have loved their lavish hotel stay as Mark admitted he was even tempted to stay in and chill with the fishes instead of heading out for a party. In the end, however, the glamorous pair ditched the plush looking duvets (we won't mention the mess) and took themselves out for the night, looking effortlessly stylish of course.

Mark reminded us all that the twosome aren't ones to "mess about" when he posted this cheeky photo of that evening's beverages.

It wasn’t just tables for two though: the final days of their luxury get away saw the extended family join in the festivities. Hey, each to their own, we say.

The whole squad made the most of one of the best water parks in the world. Also, check out Michelle's hair. Flawless even mid-slide. #welljel

It was one big happy family wearing smiles all around as the group posed for photos on the last night of the trip.

Mark's parents and his brother Josh joined the couple. Josh's long-term girlfriend, Hollie Kane, was also invited along for the trip. Lucky girl!

Clearly, the couple had a fabulous trip and their occasional photo-sharing had us all feeling like sun-kissed newlyweds by the end of it all. Well… almost.

Still aged just 39, and with two young sons aged four and six, Joanna Anesti works at Maxus in Dublin, a leading media agency.

Last August, the otherwise healthy young woman began to experience seizures – which became more frequent as the weeks went by.

Concerned, she sought treatment, and shortly before Christmas, doctors made their diagnosis: advanced Glioblastoma multiforme. In short, they had discovered not one but two tumours on her brain.

And while she has since endured five months of gruelling treatment, the tumours have only expanded. More worryingly, a third growth has recently been identified.

Understandably, Joanna’s outlook does not look overly positive. Indeed, doctors have now told her that she has just six months to live.

However, she and her family believe there is still a glimmer of hope: namely an innovative surgical trial in Belgium. Desperately short on time, the DCU-graduate hopes to travel there next month – if she can raise the eye-watering six-figure sum needed to cover her medical bills.

The initial surgery to remove the tumours will run to €50,000 alone, while other associated costs will stretch to further €150,000.

And although there is currently no cure for Joanna’s condition, the influential US health watchdog, the FDA, has approved the Belgium trail.

She has so far raised €20,000 – with one anonymous donor contributing a generous €5,000 lump sum.

Joanna herself remains remarkably upbeat too. "I believe that death is not the biggest loss in life," she writes on her blog, hopeforjoanna.com. "The biggest loss is the energy that dies within us every day while we are still alive.

"I’ll keep fighting and hoping no matter what the doctors tell me. Just because I am a natural born fighter and positive believer!"

Little sisters of the world, unite.

Five-year-old Saige has had it up to HERE with her brother Tanner, and she's decided it's high time she moved out and went to stay with her mother's friend Jenn. After all, she's lived in the same house "for like, five years."

Saige's mam tries her best to reason with her, but when a five-year-old makes up their mind, there's no going back.

"I have lotsa stuff, I'm MOVIN' ON."

Amazing.

Now that Facebook is the best thing since sliced bread, everyone's getting in on the action. It's a great way to keep in contact with people but we have to admit, there are some family members and as much as we love them, we do wish we could send their friend requests into cyberspace and out of our personal space.

1. The person who leaves forty x's after everything
"So proud xxxxxxxxxxx" "Mum, I'm upstairs, just tell me in person."

2. The one who gets more likes on their comment than you did on the original status
Probably your dad with some witty, sarcastic remark. Good one Dad.

3. The ones who bring photo's of you and your friends from 2009 back onto people's news feeds
"Lovely photo!" Thanks, you're not the first person to appreciate my braces, middle parting, bebo stunnah pose and excess chin flab.

4. The "You look so grown up xx" person
Uh sorry but, have we met?

5. The "Oooh, is this your boyfriend?" on pictures from a night out person
Well that was the plan, but it's definitely not going to happen now.

6. The "Tell your dad I…" person
Tell him yourself, us younger folk are only here for the odd creep.

7. People who comment on a wall post from your crush
Excuse me, we're trying to fall in love here, please take your morto comments elsewhere.

Ooh, it seems Solange is NOT impressed with fans of her superstar sister taking photos!

Beyoncé, Solange and Blue Ivy were photographed enjoying a day at the park recently, but Solange looked less than happy to be snapped, and her look of wrath has hit headlines.

Now, Solange has taken to Twitter to blast those who took the photos, saying: “This is why I live in #nola. Family park days much as I want w out the mom in leopard print stretch pant photo’n every pop lock & drop.”

Ouch, excuse us while we just fold away our leopard print leggings…

The singer also tweeted photos of incident, writing: “Man, we should’ve gone to da movies! I wanted those [cameras] to BURN.”

Yikes! Next time you spot Beyoncé and her sis, we would put the camera out of sight. Nobody will believe you, but it could be worth it…

Yes, Christmas is a time of joy and family fun, but it's also a time of awkward chit-chat with extended family you haven't clapped eyes on since this time last year.

Once you've covered the "aren't we so lucky with this mild weather?" and "God, hasn't the year FLOWN" basic chit-chat topics, it can be hard to figure out what to say next.

To avoid choking on your turkey with the awkwardness of it all, here are a few pop culture moments from 2014 to bring up if you're in need of a conversation starter…

1. With teens
Teenage cousins who'd rather be anywhere but here, cranky adolescent siblings… you get the picture.

– "On a scale of amazing to AMAZING, what did you think of Taylor's new album?"

– "Do you reckon Justin is going to win Selena back? Her performance at the AMAs broke my heart."

– "Those new Instagram filters, amirite?"

2. With middle-aged relatives
Long-lost aunts and uncles, the Godmother you haven't seen since 2003, etc.

– "Who knew Stevie Wonder had NINE kids? The man's a machine."

– "Have you managed to delete the new U2 album from your phone yet?" N.B: confirm they're not a U2 fan first.

– "How amazing was Ellen's Oscar selfie? I vote we re-create it for this years family picture."

3. With those of an older vintage
Grandparents, grand-aunts, grand-uncles, elderly relatives… and so on.

– "I think 2014 was Ryan's best Toy Show yet, don't you?"

– "Enda's Christmas message: what's the verdict? He did well to throw in that Facetime line."

– "The Mrs. Brown's Boys Christmas Special – hit or miss? I think they used up all the best material for the movie, personally."

4. Your emergency bonus topic
For when a serious tumbleweed hits

– "So, what did we all think of Kim Kardashian's bum in that photo shoot?" *runs away*

A couple from Jobstown in Dublin have been forced to sleep in their car for the past three weeks after their rent was increased by a massive fifty per cent.

Shane and Ciara Dwyer had been renting through an estate agent who hiked their rent from €700 a month to €1,050, which they said that just couldn’t afford.

As Ciara suffers from panic attack brought on from agoraphobia, she cannot work and her husband has essentially become her full-time carer. Because of this, the safe environment of a home is important for Ciara’s health. She has said the situation has made her: “embarrassed, depressed and just scared.”

The couple have been on the housing list since 2008, however, even this paired with a letter from the HSE in relation to Ciara’s metal health and the benefits of long-term accommodation could not help their situation: “They said there was nothing they could do until the day we became homeless. So we went down then and they said there wasn’t any emergency accommodation for couples, that there were six couples in front of us … We go down to the council every day asking them if there’s anything. They just keep saying there’s six couples ahead of us. One guy, when he heard we were sleeping in our car, said, ‘At least you’re in out of the rain.’”

For now, the couple say they are staying in their car as they cannot risk staying with family who will be in breach of their council home contracts if they overcrowd: “They have kids. They can’t risk being put homeless too,” Ciara says.

At night, Shane says they keep milk under the car to keep in cold, having a quick breakfast in the car every morning before heading off to a drop-in centre of family to wash and clean their clothes. From there, they head down to the council to see of anything is available for them yet.

Starting in January, Apple will pay for female employees to freeze their eggs in order to allow them to have children at a later stage.

Though the process will cost up to $20,000 for the company, they spoke of the importance of such a project: “We continue to expand our benefits for women, with a new extended maternity leave policy, along with cryopreservation and egg storage as part of our extensive support for infertility treatments … We also offer an Adoption Assistance program, where Apple reimburse expenses associated with the legal adoption of a child. We want to empower women at Apple to for the best work of their lives as they care for loved ones and raise their families" a spokesperson for Apple said.

Typically, freezing eggs can be a very expensive endeavour, often costing up to $12,000 with an extra $1,000 per year of storage. Drug fees and the recommended amount of eggs to be frozen can often run this figure even higher making this no small move by either company.

It has also been reported that Facebook have been offering the service to their female employees since last January.

It is thought these moves by the Silicon Valley giants will increase the number of women in CEO positions and make the talent pool that bit more competitive.

When Cameron Diaz got together with Good Charlotte’s Benji Madden, we thought it was a match made in Heaven. The star’s friends have even commented about how she’s never looked happier, but after hearing what Benji admitted in a recent interview, we fear they may not go the distance.

While Cameron has spoken out countless times about how she’s not the motherly type, Benji said that a family is “what every man wants, whether they admit it or not.”

Uh oh, we’re not sure how Cameron will feel about this. Only recently, she’s talked about how children aren’t really on her wish list:

“It's so much more work to have children. To have lives besides your own that you are responsible for, I didn't take that on. That did make things easier for me.

“A baby, that's all day, every day for eighteen years. Not having a baby might really make things easier, but that doesn't make it an easy decision.

“I like protecting people, but I was never drawn to being a mother. I have it much easier than any of them. That's just what it is. Doesn't mean life isn't sometimes hard.”

Hmm, we’re not sure how this is going to play out. Though who knows? A source says that Benji is practically living with Cameron at this stage, so they seem to be sticking together so far. And if they’re telling magazines about their baby plans, they must have spoken to each other about it. We're keeping our fingers crossed for them anyway!
