The fashion retailer ModCloth made the announcement that is going to remove a separate ‘plus’ section from the ModCloth website.

The change comes as an effort for the brand to be more inclusive.

Founder of the company, Susan Koger, told Buzzfeed that the decision was made as a result of customer feedback and also her own personal experiences.

“I’ve had my own struggles with body image, and I can empathize with going shopping and feeling like I’m not enough.”

A survey conducted by ModCloth revealed that roughly half of their customers were averse to the term ‘plus-size’.

Susan explained she was also inspired by women’s reactions to recent pop-up shops the company organised.

“Seeing in real life how excited customers were that about 95% of our clothing was available in a full range of sizes [XS-4X] made us not want to relegate anyone to a different section based on size, and we wanted to reflect that on the site as well.”

These shops did not separate what would normally be considered ‘plus-size’ clothing from other sizes.

“Shopping is an experience that tears a lot of people down, but we want to make it an uplifting one,” she says. “It makes us wonder, why aren’t more people in the industry doing this?”

She also explained that removing the ‘plus’ label is not only in like with the company ethos, but it is also a smart business decision:

“I’m sure certain retailers have a fear of turning off straight size customers by welcoming customers who wear extended sizes, but that’s not true from what we’ve seen.”

Since the company began stocking larger sized clothing in 2013, Susan says is has been their fastest-growing sales category.

“There’s an outdated notion that the plus consumer won’t spend money on herself, and when she does, it won’t be trendy or stylish,” she added that ModCloth proves this notion is in fact not true.

We all know the fashion industry is a tricky one to get into.

It's extremely competitive and it will constantly feel like a million people are after the same job as you.

But whether you want to be a designer, stylist, photographer, or model; these tips will have you on your way to nabbing your dream fashion job.

1. Don't be afraid to stand out

A lot of people are going after the same job as you are; it's a fact. But don't be put off by that, it just means that you will need to work hard to stand out from the crowd.

Dress to impress, research the industry and the people working in it – anything that will get you ahead of others.

2. Maintain good relationships

Sure, if you bag an internship it might be all coffee runs and photocopying – especially if you're in a bigger company – but any internship will lead you to great contacts.

It's really important to meet and network with people in the fashion industry, as you will never know when you might need them; or visa versa.

3. Focus your energy on achieving your goals

There's no point working yourself silly, just to benefit someone else. Concentrate on your own goal and how you will achieve that goal.

Set out steps to follow and don't let anyone sway you away from them.

4. Expect to make sacrifices

Money, a social life and sleep are a few luxuries you might have to live without and coffee will become your new best friend!

Unfortunately, most internships in fashion are unpaid (at the start, anyway) – but we can't express enough how valuable internships are.

If you want to make it, you need to work hard and not give into temptation – and DON'T give up.

5. Do one thing every day that brings you closer to your goal

It can be as simple as an Instagram post or creating a blog, but doing one thing every day will help you to stay focused.

Buy some new fabric, read a book about fashion, visit a gallery for inspiration, it can be anything, just as long as it's something.

6. Celebrate your achievements

With champagne and a nap!

7. Success is a numbers game

You will get turned down and have set backs; it's hard but it's true. But believe us, for every job that turns you down, it just means something bigger and better is coming your way.

You applied for three jobs, and only received one reply? That's OK, your time will come. Just remember to not give up and throw all your hard work away, if you want it enough, you WILL get it.

“Accentuate the positives and eliminate the negatives!"

This was the style advice which legendary actress Joan Collins had to share with SHEmazing earlier today at the unveiling of her collection at the Newbridge Silverware Museum of Style Icons.

"Focus on the good parts rather than what you don’t like,” she replied when asked what advice she would give to any budding fashionistas.

The actress was on hand to unveil her incredible collection which boasts a range of fashion and jewellery  belonging to the Dynasty actress that are a must-see for any fan of fashion or indeed film.

And certainly, Ms Collins did turn heads when she arrived in Newbridge earlier.

She was wearing an outfit which she designed herself and had previously debuted at Buckingham Palace when she received her DBE (meaning she's a legitimate Dame).

The white peplum hemmed dress and matching capped jacket were paired with some very elegant Newbridge Silver pieces, naturally. This particular ensemble is one which Ms Collins said will be auctioned in December at Julien's Auctions in Beverly Hills.

Some of the pieces include personal favourites such as the couture halter dress which she wore on the red carpet of the Doctor Dolittle premiere.

Another personal favourite which the star included in the collection- a beaded Yves Saint Laurent jacket; which was her "go-to Christmas party piece for over 20 years."

Speaking about her personal style, the actress noted that she believes it does require a certain amount of disciple to maintain such ‘effortless’ glamour.

She added a healthy lifestyle would help and avoids excess sugar whenever possible- and it certainly shows as the 82-year old is quite radiant despite joking she had recently experienced something of a "cola hangover" after she had her first soft drink in almost two years.

She noted Michael Kors and Ralph Lauren as some of her favourite designers along with Donna Karen as they design clothes “for women and not for teenage girls.”

Working alongside some of Hollywood’s most well-known faces, including Elizabeth Taylor and recently Elizabeth Hurley in the E! drama series The Royals, the screen legend said it is "incredibly difficult" for young actresses to get started now.

Meanwhile, she noted that older actresses are still feeling the pressure to be as thin as possible for certain roles:

"I have heard from some fellow female actresses that even though they weigh 8 stone, they may be told to lose even more weight."

Helen Mirren and Judi Dench were two actresses whom Ms Collins noted as rising above the film industry's body image trends and producing great work in fascinating roles. Something which she herself seemed keen to do-  in Ireland no less.

While she has not worked in Ireland before, she did reveal that it is her intention to work on a project based here in the future.

"A modern Thelma and Louise type buddy film about two women who travel from Ireland through England and into France to find happiness," is how she describes the film.

While no official word was given as to who would take on the role of Joan's pal in the project she did note that she's a big Meryl Streep fan- aren't we all?

CEO of Newbridge Silverware William Doyle said of the collection: “It is an honour to have the legendary Dame Joan Collins represented at the Museum of Style Icons. The collection is filled with a number of show stopping pieces and we are proud to introduce them all to our visitors.”

The Museum of Style Icons will display the Collection of Dame Joan Collins free of charge to the public until Sunday 8 November. The exclusive exhibition will give fans the chance to see the prized pieces before they go on sale at Julien’s Auctions in Beverly Hills. You can find more information on the Newbridge Silverware website here

So, this month there is an 18-year old on the cover of Italian Vogue.

His name is Aidan Walsh and he’s from Barefield in Ennis, Co. Clare. He appears to be making a bit of a name for himself in the London fashion scene.

Since 2014 he’s been based in the city at the Bird College of Dance and Theatre Performance where he is continuing his dance training. According to the Clare Herald he was spotted at the age of 12 at a Ballet Ireland course and was thought to be something of a prodigy.

Aside from his studies, Aidan has been doing some modelling and doing it very well it would seem.

He’s represented by the Tomorrow is Another Day Model Agency in London.

Before moving to London Aidan had trained at various dance companies and schools in Ireland which included Youth Ballet West and the Corrib Dance Academy.

He is now the male face of Italian Vogue, which he announced on his social media accounts.

The cover was shot by famous fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot.

A photo posted by Aidan Walsh(@aidan_walsh_) on

Aidan now joins the likes of Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Isabella Rossellini, Gisele Bundchen and Kate Upton who have all featured on the famous magazine’s cover.

Oh, and if you were curious that is a love bite on his neck- because fashion.

He told Ryan Tubridy in an interview that it is a real hickey and how it came to be was quite amusing:

"I thought they were going to do it with make-up ’cause, you know, there’s a team of professional make-up artists there," but when it comes to Vogue Italia everything must be authentic:

"They decided that the only way to actually give me one was to physically give me one, so one of the make-up assistants had to give me one on my neck."

Tough day at the office then.

Looking good can sometimes be a major challange, especially when you're in a rush and can't be bothered to put together a creative outfit.

The lives of bloggers, seem to be constantly busy, so we want to know – how exactly do they look so good, all the time?!

Who What Wear spoke to six bloggers who dished their go-to style secrets. Now we can look just as good too!

Courtney Trop of Always Judging

Her go-to outfit: A fitted black t-shirt, black skinny jeans, basic black boots, and Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses.

“All black, always. As a blonde, it makes me want black because it makes my hair stand out. I usually throw some sort of trench or blazer over this sort of look in the fall. This is my go-to because it’s simple and easy, and something about all black always looks chic. It’s really about finding the perfect pair of jeans and tee to make the outfit.”

Christine Reehorst of Fash n Chips

Her go-to outfit: A big blazer or coat and a pair of classic, cropped black trousers.

“I like to go for this combination because I can wear whatever I like underneath as you won't be able to see much of it anyway, and the shoes don't seem to matter so much either. A big coat will instantly make any look more put together.”

Sarah Mikaela of Framboise Fashion

Her go-to outfit: A knit or blouse and boyfriend jeans.

“It’s super comfy and so versatile in terms of styling it further, like I did in this outfit with a silk shirt around my waist and pointed boots.”

Irina Lakicevic of A Portable Package

Her go-to outfit: A brilliantly cut white shirt, high-waisted fitted jeans, and pointy loafers.

“I am very concerned with always looking professional, but in the same manner not too polished. It has to feel personal rather than like a uniform.”

Andy Torres of Style Scrapbook

Her go-to outfit: Black jeans and a blazer.

“To be honest, I would wear black jeans and a blazer every day. I obviously have to spice it up but I think wearing black skinny jeans, a t-shirt/blouse, a pair of heels, and a blazer is such a classic statement look."

Zina Charkoplia of FashionVibe

Her go-to outfit: A cashmere sweater, an asymmetric skirt, pointed-toe heels, and my Fendi purse.

“Feminine and fabulous! I feel like a real woman in this outfit. Not too sexy, not too conservative—just perfect!”

Today, the SHEmazing team went behind-the-scenes in Dundrum Town Centre to check out the amazing trends it's offering this season.

From high street stores to high end designers, there's something to suit everyone. With over 2,000 brands housed in the centre, no matter what budget, age group or style, they will have you covered!

Speaking at the event today, stylist Colm Corrigan said, "I'm really excited about the collections at Dundrum Town Centre this season, the AW15 catwalks have really come alive! Out four key trends touch on some of the most prominent and accessible trends for ladies and gents of all ages."

And we love the trends they showed us this afternoon! They are really stepping outside-of-the-box for the next season, but it all works fabulously and will be a great guide to stick to over the next few months:

Great Lengths

Hemlines are heading for the floor! From popular lengths sitting just under the knee, to mid calf length and full on ground grazing maxis, you'll see that the A-line style is key with long pencil skirts coming in close second.

Have fun pairing different length boots to really push this trend!

New Opulence

Fashion is feeling romantic this season with shimmering brocades, jacquards and layers of lace from most collections, so feeling regal this winter won't be difficult.

Mixing and matching textures is key with gold tones, hearty pinks and burnt orange hues being bang on trend.

Contrast

Instead of head to toe black this winter (which some of us can REALLY be guilty of), drape yourself in this seasons beat tones. To bring the mix of colours up a notch, pair pale pink with yellows and lilac tones with scarlet red.

Rich burgundy will be your best friend this season while keeping accessories on a similar palette.

New Tradition

Borrowing from the boys (woo) … and you granny, heritage gets a modern twist this season. Think quirky film director Wes Anderson (Grand Budapest Hotel) with a new fashion line!

Checks and tweeds are mixed with leather and PVC in fun, bold styles. Cue the rise of the modern geek!

We’ve all been there on a Friday night. Attempting to put together a last minute outfit when you just left the office, your phone is dead and everything is in the wash.

Chances are, at least once the wardrobe staple that has come to your rescue has been your favourite black dress.

We love them, we tend to feel a little lost when we’re missing one from our wardrobe, but so lost we would join a waiting list almost 1,000 people strong?

Ahm- we’re not entirely sure. Does this dress also charge our phone and make coffee?

No, the MM.LaFleur designed LBD does not in fact support your caffeine addiction but it that hasn’t stopped people from falling in love with it.

The Tory design was recently released and people have gone MAD trying to get their hands on one. For €210 – nope, it ain't cheap – this dress must be pretty special.

We will admit that it does look pretty amazing and yes, we would definitely grab one if we had the chance, but just why is there so much demand?

Bustle spoke to the editor-in-chief who told them that “word of mouth” is what drives their business. Also, this dress has “bonus” features:

“The wrap is secured and lined, so there's no risk of an in-office wardrobe malfunction.”

It is also “wrinkle-resistant” and “eco-friendly” while designed to “keep you cool all year-round,” that’s a lot of buzz words for one dress. A dress which won’t be on sale until 2016.

Hello Giggles pointed out that this dress reminds them of InStyle’s report that Kate Middleton’s ME+EM top had a 14-week long waiting list, and the item sold out. Maybe it is a great advertising scheme, but it has certainly made people curious.

Lea Michele has really come a long way from her Glee days (let's face it, pleated skirts and matching jumpers were never a good look).

But lately, we have to give her major brownie points for rocking drop-dead-gorgeous outfits and completely changing her style around – because wow, she looks smoking hot.

The actress is in the middle of promoting her new TV show Scream Queens and blew everyone away as she arrived to record an interview with Jimmy Fallon yesterday.

Wearing a tight, cleavage-displaying orange dress, she waved and smiled at well-wishers who had waited around the studio to see her.

The 29-year-old self-styled fashionista turned up her style game a notch from her usual dress-code and certainly looks a LOT different from her Glee days.

And we have a great look-a-like dress if you want to look like the Scream Queen herself. From Missguided and costing only €42, this dress is a major bargain.

Lea seemed in her element as she prepared to embark on yet another promotional appearance, and looked to be eating up all the attention – but that wasn't how her day started off.

Earlier yesterday morning, the actress visited The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where she almost got the living daylights scared out of her.

As she was speaking with Ellen, a man dressed up as a deranged killer psychopath popped out from the coffee table next to her.

Lea was laughing and screaming, and perhaps only half joking when she told Ellen: "I'm not coming on your show again. That was him! That was Michael Myers!"

Hitting the age of 50 is a milestone and definitely worthy of a few things, but in Cindy Crawford's case, that translates into writing a book.

The model is writing all about her glittering career in the fashion industry and reflecting on the wisdom she has picked up along the way ahead of her landmark birthday next February.

But in the book, it's not all glitz and glam as you thought it would be, she also tells some of the downside's to having a modelling career.

"Unfortunately I was never one of those girls who could eat whatever I wanted and not gain weight (damn you Kate Moss!)," the Super writes in the tome, entitled  Becoming, reports Style

"Of course as soon as I told myself that I wasn't going to eat any sugar, bread, or whatever, all I could think of was sugar, bread or whatever!"

"I have finally settled on the idea of being 80 per cent good 80 per cent of the time. For me, that's doable."

There's a strong sense in the book that Cindy wants to raise awareness for what she believes in.

"To my mind, the most important message I can promote and exemplify is one that supports diversity and health."

Cindy's book, Becoming, will hit shelves in the this month.

In case you had not noticed, New York Fashion Week has brought an awful lot of celebrities and their very important entourage members all together.

There was a lot of events, hundreds of outfit changes and of course, there were some snarky comments tossed about between the celebs. Cosmopolitan gathered up some of the most outrageous remarks that were overheard over the course of the fashion extravaganza, and they were hilarious.

These are just some of most hilarious things that people overheard the fashion crowd saying, in very crowded, very public places.

"I was sitting across from Anna. She yawned, she checked her watch, she looked up at the ceiling and played with her jewelry, and she texted. I've seen her not like a show before but never like that. She hated it."

"Who is that Russian mistress in the front row?"

"I don't want her to be physically hurt, because that would be mean. Just emotionally."

"They say smart things. Like, they analyze Magic Mike in an intellectual way, which is what I do with my friends."

"I love when Jimmy Choo did Uggs! That was a good day in fashion."

"This is their new shoe. It's also a hat. Unisex."

 "It's 10 a.m. and I already saw a nip slip."

"This show's front row is like a who's who of mother-daughter plastic surgery."

"I know the '70s are back, but please still trim your chest hair and don't grow a mustache."

"Poor Kim trying to wear those clothes and she just looked like a big poo emoji."

During the week Kanye West debuted his new Yeezy clothing line at New York Fashion Week. The controversial show attracted lots of attention. Firstly because of the star studded FROW, at which North West completely stole everyone’s attention.

Then there was also the fact that his designs have become the topic of much debate. While his family, the Kardashians including, have yet to stop raving about his designs other celebs are not so taken with his vision.

Rapper Ice-T, well known for his role on Law & Order: SVU as well as his hip-hop fame, took to social media to let the public know exactly how he felt about the new designs.

He definitely didn’t hold back:

He posted a photo of several of the models dressed in a range of black and green outfits from the rapper’s debut collection, Yeezy Season 1. He then added that because he’s “not POP” he can speak freely about his opinions on the designs.

While Kanye’s latest collection featured mostly nude shades perhaps Ice was doing something of a ‘throwback Thursday’?

Kanye has not commented on the tweet as of yet, but Ice isn’t the first person to take issue with the Yeezy line.

When Kanye announced that his show would take place this week, it came quite some time after other, non-celeb designers had done their promotional rounds for their shows.

Specifically, designer Anne Bowen was pretty miffed about the whole thing and told Women’s Wear Daily:

“Our show date has been scheduled for months and has been on the Fashion Calendar for weeks…  Yesterday we learned that Kanye West is having a show at the same time on the same date as ours.

A photo posted by ANNE BOWEN (@anne_bowen) on

Kanye knows he is a media sensation and it is just not ethical to do this. It's like we are David and he is Goliath. We have put our heart and soul into our show, and should not be stepped on like this."
