One of the most interesting aspects of good style is that it's not something that just happens

No ladies, good style is a result of a woman putting herself together in a certain way.

Every time we see enviable street style snaps, the woman in the picture didn't just throw on that outfit – she used her own set of skills to get ready and look fabulous.

Celebrities have stylists to do all that hard work for them, but for us humble beings, we have to rely on ourselves to look good.

If you follow these simple (yet very valuable) steps every morning, you will always be confident that you're rocking whatever outfit you're wearing.

Sit down in your outfit

It might sound weird, but if you're going somewhere that requires you to sit – the office, dinner, drinks – then it's a good idea to test it out before you go.

Wearing tight denim might look fabulous on your figure, but sitting down in it for hours will only result in the jeans digging into your poor waist, and nobody has time for that.

Take off one accessory – cliché but true

Coco Chanel's infamous piece of advice has well and truly appraoched cliché status – but sometimes, clichés are there because they're true.

Most woman have a tendency to over-accessorise, so by removing one small piece from your outfit, you'll be fit for a catwalk (the street counts as a catwalk, right?).

Look at your full outfit in the mirror

This one seems pretty obvious, but think back to all the times you left the house without glancing at yourself; only to look in a mirror at lunch and think, "Oh no…".

Yep, it happens to the best of us. Have a quick look at everything you're wearing (shoes, bag, sun glasses) to make sure your whole outfit is on point.

Take a selfie

Just like Cher taught us in Clueless, mirrors often lie, but photos never do. Have your friend or significant other take a photo to see how you really look.

If no one is available, take a selfie. The snap might just notice something the mirror didn't.

Double check for underwear lines

Underwear lines are so not a good look. Even if you think you are in the clear, double and triple check this one.

And whenever you wear something tight, seamless underwear will be your new best friend.

Prep your bag for the day

Take a look inside your handbag and make sure you have everything you need for the day. Plasters, lip gloss, wet wipes, whatever floats your boat. Your future self will thank you.

Walk around in your shoes

BEFORE you leave the house. This one is especially true if you're about to walk out in a brand-spanking new pair of shoes.

You do NOT want a sneaky blister popping up during your day. Take a test around the house to pin point any sore points, and bandage them up in advance.

A lack of time; a lack of money – oh, and no invites: unfortunately, most of us can't just drop everything to hit the current crop of fashion weeks (sob) in New York, London, Paris or Milan.

However, we can still (hurrah!) live out our stylish dreams through the magic of Netflix

And right now, the streaming service is offering a LOAD of amazing behind-the-scenes films and documentaries that embody all things fashion.

In fact, a quick peruse of the Netflix catalogue confirms it has A LOT to offer any budding fashionista.

International designers, the dark side of modelling and even (swoon!) Anna Wintour herself: it's positively a treasure trove.

So SHEmazing! says sit back, relax… and enjoy the fashion.

1) Dior And I

Dior And I is an exciting behind-the-scenes glimpse of how Raf Simons's made his first collection for Christian Dior in 2012.

Raf has both his reputation and the legacy of Dior on the line with only eight weeks to complete the collection. Mr Simons and his dedicated team work against the clock to make his vision become a sublime reality.

2) The Director

This documentary is an intimate portrait of Gucci's creative director, Frida Giannini. The Director spans 18 months inside the iconic Italian fashion house. Exploring the inspiration behind the brilliant woman, we see her own evolution as well as Gucci's.

3) Paul Smith

In this behind-the-scenes film, we watch Paul Smith celebrate his 40 years in the business. Director Stéphane Carrel follows Mr Smith from London to Paris and then Tokyo. The film also looks at how he builds a brand and an empire from English pop culture.

4) Advanced Style

Advanced Style examines the world of seven unique New Yorkers whose eccentric look and booming spirits have guided their approach to ageing. Based on Ari Seth Choen's blog of the same name, the movie paints a moving portrait of independent, fashionable women ages 62-95.

It also looks at how they challenge the conventional ideas of beauty and ageing in the industry.

5) The September Issue

This movie takes the viewer inside a world they only think they know. Anna Wintour, the legendary editor-in-chief of Vogue for the last 25 years, is the most powerful figure in fashion. With unprecedented access, we see the build up to her lusted September issue.

6) Bill Cunningham New York

Bill Cunningham is an 80+ New York Times photographer. For decades, Bill has been obsessively and inventively documenting fashion trends and high-society fashion soirées.

Many fashion greats such as Anna Wintour, Tom Wolfe, Brooke Astor and David Rockerfeller all appear in the movie – all out of their love of Bill. Mr Cunningham's enormous body of work is more reliable than any catwalk as an expression of time, place and fashion.

7) Chasing Beauty

What is beauty and is it worth the cost? This is the question posed to supermodels, photographers, agents and the like in the world of fashion. The documentary sees a rare glimpse of the dark side of modelling and how many people actually gain real success and happiness from it.

It seems David has the upper hand with this one!

Victoria Beckham has revealed that her daughter, Harper, has no desire to follow her mother into fashion – and wants to be a footballer instead.

Speaking to ABC Good Morning America, the designer said it was a "dagger through the heart" when Harper, four, recently told her mother that she wants to play football.

The former Spice Girl said that she already has three sons that play football and to her dismay, her baby girl has become a tomboy.

"She loves fashion as all little girls do, she loves putting makeup on and playing with my shoes… but she's a tomboy, she has three brothers."

"She said to me the other day: 'Mummy I think I want to play football.' (It was) a dagger through the heart. I have three boys who want to play football, come on, let one of them want to be in fashion!"

On the TV show, Victoria was described as a "Vogue Mom" as she appears on front covers of magazines while rising her family which include Harper, Brooklyn, 16, Romeo, 13 and Cruz, 10.

Her only hopeful so far is Brooklyn, having recently modelled for Miss Vogue.

Meanwhile, this week Victoria revealed her latest collection at New York Fashion Week, for which she was given rave reviews.

Mrs Beckham admitted that being in the Spice Girls prejudiced people against her when she first became a designer.

"People did have preconceptions and I expected that but I wasn't out to prove anybody wrong, I just wanted to prove to myself I could do it".

If you're in any way a fashion kinda girl, these amazing trends will have you jumping head over heels.

From check coats to Loub lipsticks, it seems this A/W is the best season to make a style statement.

1) Check it out

Plaid is a no-brainer when it comes to looking cool in the cold weather, but be careful not to play it too safe this season. Go for something eye-catching to make you stand out from the crowd. This Miu Miu A/W 2015 coat is perfect for making a statement. At nearly €5,000 though, it might be a little out of our price range, so we spotted this fab Topshop replica

2) Louboutin lippy

Christian Louboutin, the luxury shoe designer, now wants to dress women from head to toe. In recent months, the designer launched Loub lipstick, in a whopping 38 shades. The make-up packaging is very art deco, but also comes with a big bonus – you can wear it as a necklace or earrings. Fancy. Never lose your lippy at the bottom of your bag again!

3) Join the Krewe

You may not be able to join Gigi Hadid's squad, but you can definitely copy her Krewe – sunglasses, that is. The model is a huge fan of the indie eye-wear brand, which crafts handmade frames inspired by a city's culture. They go for nearly €200, but if that's a bit pricey, we spotted these great ones from River Island.

4) The braidy bunch

It's time for the fishtail trend to move over as there's a new twist in town: cornrows. But don't worry, we're not talking Alicia Keys dodgy hair do' circa early 2000. Celebs like Amanda Seyfried, Cara Delevingne, Kendall Jenner and Selena Gomez have all sported the trend recently.

Celebs soften the look by just doing a few plaits up top and letting the rest of the hair fall into loose waves.

5) The NEW statement bag

From Gucci's runway show it seems there's a new statement bag on the scene and we're VERY fond of it. Gone are the days of flashy, bright bags as luxury labels are sporting a more paired back, minimalist style.

Dakota Johnson and Rosie Huntington-Whitely are all major fans of the trend. If you don't fancy spending nearly €2,500 for it though, we spotted one here for a tiny fraction of the price.

It was a good week for Ellen DeGeneres!

The funny woman launched her own fashion line, ED, this week in the major American superstore, Bergdorf Goodman.

“I’m so emotional right now, I could cry," said Ellen as she posed for pictures.

The chat show host announced that she was feeling nervous as she stood beside wife, Portia de Rossi.

While guests were waiting for the launch, they sipped on organic rose cocktails in a very suave dining area, decorated with deep pink flowers and green velvet chairs.

“It’s such an honour to launch in this way,” added Ellen.

“Bergdorf Goodman is so picky! People hope for years and years that they will select them.”

Ellen wore a sleek black fitted suit from her new line but she wasn't the only one dressed to impress on the night.

All dolled up and sipping cocktails were the likes of Diane Sawyer, Kim Kardashian West, Kanye West, Justin Timberlake, Pharell Williams and Donna Karan.

It sure was fancy!

When Ellen was asked what is on her shopping list for the new season, she said “Saint Laurent, Givenchy, and, of course, ED," adding, "I think I’ll get a discount if I buy here now!”

In a move that brings together the worlds of luxury fashion and technology, Apple announced yesterday that they are teaming up with fashion label Hermés to create a collection of Apple watches.

While many may anticipate the fashion giant merely lent it's expertise to creating a new series of straps, Apple Watch Hermés is a very collaborative line.

Each watch comes engraved with the Hermés signature, the typeface can be customised to Hermés's famous orange and three exclusive dials reference classic Hermés watch face designs.

You can also choose between three different strap designs – the single tour, the double tour and the cuff – which are all handcrafted in Paris with the label's famous leather.

"Apple and Hermès make very different products, but they reflect the deep appreciation of quality design," said Apple's chief design officer Jonathan Ive.

"Both companies are motivated by a sincere pursuit of excellence and the desire to create something that is not compromised. Apple Watch Hermès is a true testament to that belief."

The product will be available just before December at selected Apple and selected Hermés retail stores.

There is probably nothing worse than putting on your most fabulous new outfit and at the end of the day realising that you’ve managed to dump pretty much your entire dinner on it.

The fear of wasting a good outfit on a bad day is surpassed by the fear of wearing your new white jeans somewhere where red wine is being served. In efforts to help ease your worries, and if the worst has already happened, we found some resources for you.

These are some of the best ways to get the worst food stains out of your clothing.

Tomato based sauces:

Scrape off the excess sauce, then cover the stain with a layer of clear dish soap. Then cover it with white vinegar before putting it under cold water and gently rubbing out the stain.

Red wine:

Put some kitchen roll on a table and put the stained clothing on top, so the stain sits over the kitchen roll sheet. Then cover the stain with baking soda. Then add tonic water so it bubbles. Fold the clothing over and rub the fabric together with your fingers.

Chocolate:

Cover the stain with milk and leave sit for five minutes. Then rub the fabric together to remove the stain with your fingers before rinsing in cold water. Wring it out and pour two tablespoons of your usual laundry detergent onto the stain. Then rinse the stain out.

Soy sauce:

Blot the stain to remove excess sauce. Cover the stain with white vinegar and use a cotton bud to work it into the stain. Then add some laundry detergent before handwashing under cool running water.

If you find yourself with more unusual stains that you just don’t know what to do with, then check out this helpful article about stain removal hacks.

Her blog post 'The 5 stages of getting over an arsehole' is no different. A highlight: "You and your girlos plaster every night out all over every social media site there is. You upload a selfie every day of you looking hunreal. Your clothes are stunning, you’ve probably dyed your hair (He obviously didn’t love you because of the colour of your hair)." Have a read of the whole post here. Be warned, it is fairly NSFW.

Despite her sometimes-very-questionable outfit choices, we must admit: our mammies basically built the foundation for our love of clothes and fashion.

From where to shop for bargains to how to dress for an interview, our mothers have thought us a lot.

But in celeb-ville it's a toally different ball game. Not only do these mothers show their daughters how to dress, sometimes they actually dress the same and look just as young as their offspring while doing so.

Here are the top stylish mother-daughter duos:

Goldie Hawn and Kate Hudson

These two often look like sisters rather than mother and daughter. Maybe it's to do with the fact that they can both pull off tight LBDs.

Jada Pinkett Smith and Willow Smith

At the beginning of Willow's career, mum Jada let her develop her own sense of style – and it definitely paid off. The pair keep things classic, with Willow adding a younger edge to outfits.

Cindy Crawford and Kaia Gerber

Cindy and her daughter pretty much have the same face, as well as the ability to look gorgeous in front of the camera at all times. We're jealous.

Demi Moore and Rumer Willis

Who is the mother here? Demi is never afraid to go for the younger look – and it pays off as she looks nearly as young as her stylish daughter.

Melanie Griffith and Dakota Johnson

The mother-daughter duo walked the red carpet together for this years Academy Awards and both looked beautiful and elegant. With extremely similar body shapes it's not hard to see where Dakota found her fashion sense.
