Rumours about what the former One Direction star is going to do next have been circulating like wildfire ever since his departure from the band.

But now, fans may be able to get excited because it looks as if his next venture could be into fashion.

A source close to the 22-year-old told The Sun that “Zayn has always been very creative and introverted.”

“He tried out various looks and styles during his time in One Direction, which led to interest from top fashion houses,” the source continued.

However, 1D fans who were left devastated by Zayn’s parting from the band can take some comfort in the fact that Zayn has no intention to leave his music career behind.

According the source. Perrie Edwards’ fiancé will always have music as his first priority. But they believe that fashion could be a big move for the singer too.

“The long term aim could be to potentially earn a big-money endorsement deal with a huge fashion brand,” the source explained.

We’re so excited to see what a Zayn clothing line could look like… once he’s wearing it on stage that is!

If you’ve postponed that dreaded wardrobe spring clean then it’s important to remember not to go too hard on your summer wardrobe. Yes, we all have a few dodgy pieces left over from the winter of 1999, but we’re still going to need some essentials to make sure our style game never falters. We put together a quick list of 5 pieces your wardrobe should never be without, so your #ootd will never be lacking again.

  1. The LBD

We’ve heard this style tip thousands of times. That’s because the time you spend searching for it is going to pay off. Especially if you invest in one that has something special. Star stylist Nicole Chavez says “look for a dress with a detail-an interesting sleeve, an embellished belt-that makes it unique.” Find one that fits just right and you’re good to go.

  1. Classic trench

Whatever the weather, investing in one of these coats is going to keep you on trend and weather protected for years to come. Nicole advises to look for an A-line silhouette to “cinch you in at the waist” and you can wear it over anything.

  1. Striped t-shirt

According to Nicole, if you find the right one, that off-duty model look can be achieved by anyone when paired with your favourite skinny jeans and ballerina flats. She says “this timeless classic is having a comeback. It looks great paired with brights or prints or peeking out from underneath a blazer."

  1. The black blazer

The tailored blazer is your best friend for a tailored style that’s flattering and will go with anything. Nicole reminds us to make sure you find one that’s going to fit you well to help accentuate your waist and create a more feminine look.

  1. A bright clutch

Everyone needs a pop of colour, especially if you’ve found that perfect LBD. A bold coloured clutch is perfect to add some colour to a neutral look and the size is perfect for keeping all your essentials right where you need them.

With summer fast approaching, it's time to start planning our outfits for the array of weddings, race-meets, garden parties and other formal occasions that are forthcoming.

And now there is good news for those stuck in a serious style rut, or those who feel they can't find standout pieces on the High Street: talented young Irish designer Niamh O'Neill is back with her third collection for Kilkenny. Featuring coats and dresses in bright, eye-catching colours, the items are certainly a breath of fresh air.

The likes of Niamh's Emma Dress (€365) and Christine Coat (€515) show off her signature style to perfection.

The Emma Dress sports a beautiful metallic leather bow, while the Christine Coat has a subtle jacquard design. Both are available in a striking turquoise, or a light pink and cream combo.

The Eleanor Dress costs €395 is one of our favourites from the collection. A beautiful shade for summer, it also boasts Italian-made rose gold broaches (which can be removed if you feel like a change). It has 3/4 length sleeves and the fit is extremely flattering. Team with a pair of heels and a delicate clutch for a instantly complete outfit.

One of the pieces that immediately caught our eye was the new hot-pink Laura Dress and Venice Coat to match. The dress costs €365 while the coat cost €490, and we reckon it would be a great buy for anyone eager to enter a Ladies Day competition: with a clean-cut neckline it's simple, but the colour absolutely means it's striking too.

Kilkenny has been promoting Irish design for more than 50 years and has 11 stores across Ireland.

You can buy any of the Niamh O'Neill collection at the Kilkenny shop in Nassau Street, Dublin, Cork or Galway. You can also visit www.kilkennyshop.com.

Move aside, Christian Louboutin: Gianvito Rossi is about to be crowned kings of shoes.

And while catwalks are full of offspring-of-famous-folk trying to carve their own niche in the industry – it’s also been well-documented that a lot of the time their efforts fall somewhat short.

Not so with the talented Gianvito, however – the second generation of the prolific Rossi fashion dynasty who has already shown that he can very much stand on his own two feet.

Kim Kardashian, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Alicia Keys

Son of shoe extraordinaire Sergio, his creations can be seen on a host of famous ankles including Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce, Kim Kardashian and Cheryl Cole.

“I grew up among shoes. That was my playground as a child, it has always been a part of my life,” he said in one recent interview. “Right after high school, I started collaborating with my father and I learnt everything from him.”

Miranda Kerr, Cheryl Cole, and Olivia Palermo

Earlier this year, he opened his first London store on Mount Street (Christopher Kane and Celine are neighbours). His flagship is in Milan, but he also has outlets in Paris and Hong Kong. And rumour has it that he will shortly open another chic outlet in Manhattan's Upper East Side.

Indeed, whisper it, fashionistas-in-the-know are now declaring that Christian Louboutin, Jimmy Choo, and Manolo Blahnik have officially been overtaken by Gianvito Rossi’s wares.

Emma Watson, Cameron Diaz, Rosie Hungtingon-Whiteley

So, if you’re in the market for a pair of beautiful Italian shoes – start saving up your pennies, because sadly his creations aren’t cheap (prices start from €395 for a patent-leather pump). But it you're looking to stay ahead of the fashion pack, Gianvito Rossi can certainly help.

When it comes to fashion and being famous, there are some sisters who nail it more than others (because they probably share clothes). Whether they're high profile socialites or former child stars, here are our top six stylish sisters.

1. Kendall and Kylie Jenner
Bet you didn't see that one coming right? As predictable as it is, the Jenner sisters have worked hard to earn their spot on the list.

2. Kate and Pippa Middleton
You probably wouldn't see these two at Coachella but that doesn't make them any less high ranking in the style stakes. Effortlessly elegant.

3. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen
Who knew these two childhood cuties would end up rocking grunge chic?

4. Paris and Nicky Hilton
These two seemed to make a style comeback at Coachella 2015 and we loooved it.

5. Dakota and Elle Fanning
We will definitely be seeing more style statements from these blonde beauties.

6. Cara and Poppy Delevingne
Those modelling genes though.

White jeans are a summer wardrobe must have. They have made a major comeback this year and we are delighted. Here are 5 reasons why you need to make an important investment in a pair of white jeans.

1. They're summery, but still warm
Sometimes we don't get the weather we would like for our Irish summers, so white jeans are perfect for that fresh, summery look, without the horrible breeze.

2. They can be worn casual or dressy
Whether you're going for a night out or just lunch with the girls, white jeans look gorgeous whatever the occassion.

3. Monochrome is so on trend
Why not team your new skinnies with a black shirt and chunky boots?

4. They go with a lot of things
Silver or gold, pink or purple..you name it, you can wear it.

5. Change up your look with different styles
Ripped jeans are perfect for adding that bit of edge to an outfit. Try out different styles and create a new you everyday.

We have been given a dose of Coachella fashion envy yet again this year. Vanessa Hudgens was our Coachella Queen last year, but who has claimed her crown this year? We have done up a list of our fashion favourites from the first weekend of Coachella 2015.

1. The Hilton sisters
Paris and Nicky wowed in white on the first day of Coachella 2015. We are loving Paris' skirt. The girls wore three matching outfits over the weekend. That's sisters for you!

2. Kendall Jenner
As always, Kendall and Kylie did their fashionista sisters proud. With Kylie's mermaid hair and Kendall impressing us with every outfit she wore over the weekend, we cant help but envy these too. This is our favourite outfit of Kendall's (although it was very hard to choose.)

3. Daisy Lowe
Maxi dresses are always a good idea if you can pull them off, and Daisy Lowe did just that. She looked effortlessly elegant in a floral print, with the beads and glasses for an added edge.

4. Victoria Justice
Victoria Justice was all smiles as she pulled off a white cut-out crop top with a gorgeous pair of Abercrombie and Fitch shorts. The hat and gladiator sandals gave this look the final few touches while the yellow bag gave a quirky boost of colour.

5. Sarah Hyland
Sarah went ever so flower power as she rocked a matching orange skirt and crop top set, teamed with chunky jewellery and a flower crown. Love!

She is one of the best in the business, so we’ll admit to feeling a little shocked when supermodel Gisele Bundchen announced that she is retiring from runway modelling.

The stunning Brazilian, famed for her never-ending legs, revealed that she has had enough of that side of the industry, and is looking to end her 20-year stint as one of the top runway models in the fashion world.

The 34-year-old also revealed that she will walk her final runway walk in Sao Paulo next month, where she will be modelling new designs from Colcci’s summer 2016 collection.

The Brazilian beauty was quick to reassure fans that, while this is the end of an era for catwalk modelling, she is not retiring entirely from the industry. Indeed, she will continue to pose for fashion spreads and campaigns.

Gisele, who is married to sports star Tom Brady, is one of the world’s highest paid models and has walked for every major label, from Chanel to Victoria’s Secret.

So, now that she’s retiring, who will take her crown?

Victoria Beckham has caused quite the stir with her most recent fashion campaign.

The designer shared the sneak peek of her autumn/winter 2015 collection on Facebook and people instantly began to talk about the unusual poses being held by models in the campaign.

Set in what looks like a motel, one model appears lifeless across chairs while another is bent backwards holding her ankles.

The zombie-like photos are no doubt loved by the high fashion world and definitely have a creative flair about them – we’re just not sure about the ‘corpse’ theme Victoria has going on!

Victoria opened her flagship store on London's Dover Street last year with her fashion career going from strength to strength.

European style is something that many fashion-obsessed women around the world have tried to emulate. From the enviable ‘country chic’ modelled by the classic English Rose to the stylish basics made sexy by Parisian women.

One of our favourite style cities is Venice, with its wonderful mix of sophisticated French style and the flashy exhibitionism of bigger Italian cities, like Rome and Milan.

The key to nailing Venice fashion is to keep your clothes simple and elegant, with just a pop of colour, and let your jewellery do the talking – something that is perfectly captured by the new Esmara clothing selection at Lidl.

With stretch jeans and jeggings available from €7.99 in a variety of colours, you have the perfect foundation of your Venetian outfit. Team yellow jeggings with a white Breton top (€8.99 – 2 pack) or a white vest (€4.99 – 2 pack) under a chic navy blazer.

If bright colours aren’t your thing, pop a classic trench coat (€19.99) over a navy Breton top and stretch jeans (€9.99); you can then give your outfit that Venetian flair with a chunky statement necklace (€5.99).

And don’t forget to slip on a comfy pair of elegant pumps (€7.99) – ladies in Milan may totter around in towering heels, but in Venice, with their cobbled streets, comfort is far more important.

For more ideas on making the most of Lidl’s Esmara collection, visit the Lidl website and be inspired.

The Esmara selection at Lidl is available from Thursday, 26th February while stocks last.

See you in Venice!

Despite her rather disastrous stint in the jungle on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, TOWIE star Gemma Collins’ career seems to be going from strength to strength.

According to reports this weekend, the star has just inked a lucrative deal with fashion mogul Sir Philip Green.

Gemma, who has her own fashion range and boutique, is believed to have agreed upon a £50,000 deal with the Topshop boss to completely revamp and revive his plus-size fashion chain, Evans.

Sources say that Sir Philip was looking for someone to “bring sexy back” into the store, and the task has fallen to popular reality star Gemma to boost the chain’s lines with some new and trendy ideas.

The 34-year-old is set to officially begin her role with the company on March 12, when she will be visiting Evans branches up and down the UK, meeting with customers and giving out style advice.

A source told the Irish Mirror: “Philip picked up on Gemma’s huge online fanbase and sees how well her clothes sell with her army of loyal Twitter fans. There aren’t many popular curvy female celebs who have such clout, so it’s understandable that Evans were keen to snap her up.”

The source added that Gemma’s “feisty and confident” attitude is exactly what the brand are trying to capture in their revamp.

Well done to Gemma, we bet she will do an amazing job.
