Elizabeth Taylor was a legend of Hollywood until her death in 2011, but her influence didn’t stop there. The actress continues to inspire other actors as well as fashionistas worldwide.

Elizabeth was the queen of Hollywood’s Golden Age and her style always reflected that title. We love her older looks the most as the tiny waist, flared skirts and fitted bodices are just so elegant and chic.

We love her high waisted trousers matched with a pretty bikini top.

The black playsuit is very Parisian and the cute belt enhances her already tiny waist.

Which of Elizabeth’s looks are your favourite?

Actress Kerry Washington knows how to rock a red carpet.

The stunning actress loves bright, bold colours. Even if her outfit is dark she will make it pop with a colourful bag or lip. Clever lady! Let’s steal her secrets.

This pink dress is perfect for a feminine red carpet look and we love the clashing purse, very fashion-forward!

Kerry’s second look is an elegant and demure grey dress, Kerry carries a red purse and matching heels for a more balanced look.

We love this dress. The pattern, the leather panels and the colours are all stylish and a great daytime look.

This last look is sweet and preppy. The pleated skirt goes perfectly with the girly handbag. Break up the look like Kerry did with some edgy leopard print heels.

Isabel Marant has a problem with other designs of her wedge trainers – they’re “super-ugly”!

The French designer spoke with Women’s Wear Daily and told them she cannot wear her own design too often any more although they are still special: “They still have something special, even though there are a lot of copies, and the bad copies are super-ugly.”

The sneaker, known as The Beckett was nine months being designed and three years after they first appeared they still sell out often. That is not surprising when the likes of Miranda Kerr, Kate Bosworth and many other celebrities often seen wearing them!

Gwen Stefani is never seen without her trademark bleached hair and scarlet lips.

Aside from these two style traits, Gwen loves to mix things up and takes lots of style risks.

As a mum-of-two (soon to be three!), Gwen favours comfy street style but always manages to make it look edgy. Here she dresses up plain trousers and leggings with funky printed jumpers.

Her red carpet looks have only improved over the years. We love this tasselled 1920s style red carpet look.

Her final look is different because her red lips are bare (shock!) but she still looks amazing, we love that gold belt.

Designer Giorgio Armani is not very happy with Vogue editor Anna Wintour at the moment.

Armani is upset following Wintour’s noted absence at his show at Milan Fashion Week. At a press release after the show, he said: “There are some who prefer to snub the Giorgio Armani show and got to Paris … She took an aeroplane, dumped Mr. Armani and went to Paris.”

The Armani show was the last major designer collection to be shown at the Milan Fashion Week which could be the reason for Wintour’s premature move to Paris.

Anna’s repersentative went on to explain her absence had nothing to do with her feelings for Armani or his designs saying that the new fashion calender was to blame: “with the fashion calendar now running for more than a month, there are some shows Anna is not able to attend.”

We love Eva Mendes’ street style.

The actress really has a love for vintage and bohemian looks that we are obsessed with too. From ethnic patterns to flowing feminine skirts Eva always look fabulous.

Our first pick is a red polka dot dress that is quite striking and draws attention without being too much for a daytime look.

This grey coat is stunning and paired with a neutral top and black pants, it makes the perfect outfit.

The third look is a floral dress that is feminine and summery, we love the vintage hemline.

We are obsessed with the final look, from the head scarf to the patterned dress, it’s just  beautiful!

Let’s face it, Ireland is a country in which any stylish woman must be prepared.

On any given day from summer to winter it could rain, hail, snow or be so windy we lose our new fedoras. Here are some staples for your wardrobe that should cover you for any weather.

1. A cute raincoat
This one isn’t only for April showers, you’ll be packing it for all the summer festivals too. Mostly because your mother is forcing you to. But you’ll be thankful when the skies open!

2. A posh brolly
Every girl needs a good sturdy umbrella for those rainy days. Cath Kidston has the perfect collection, we love this one as it would totally keep our eye make-up intact!

3. A warm jumper
This will come in handy even in summer as it is such a sweet colour but it will also keep you nice and cosy for those chillier days we are bound to encounter.

4. A good, sturdy and most importantly, waterproof, pair of shoes
It may not even be raining but if the ground is wet you still need waterproof shoes. If your feet are cold, you’ll be cold.

5. Scarves
Most, if not all, of Irish girls own a massive array of scarves. If our neck and chest are covered it’s like a nice toasty hug. Also there are just so many beautiful styles out there. This one is perfect for springtime.

It would appear not everybody is very happy about Michael Kors becoming such a success in the fashion world.

As we reported last week,  Kors was declared a billionaire recently so does it come as any surprise that his biggest critic is a fellow designer?

Italian designer, Roberto Cavalli has accused Kors of copying him saying: “Mr. Michael Kors, he copies everything. It’s really a scandal and nobody has the courage to say anything. It’s really not fair.”

The accusation comes only a few months after another tirade on Kors by Cavalli when he said to Style.com in December: “I just want him [Kors] to stop copying me! Stop!”

Hmm, could this be a case of sour grapes seeing as more women buy Kors designs because more women can actually afford them?

Cavalli is never one to shy away from having issues with the fashion industry, and he has many: “There is less creativity. There’s been nothing truly new since the 1950s, except many sneakers.”

Our Best Dressed star of the day is the lovely Gossip Girl, Blake Lively.

Blake always looks stunning and we love the looks she chooses, there is something sort of Carrie Bradshaw about them.

This first dress is so beautiful, grey lace with a train and beaded detail. We’re swooning.

This second look is really summery and feminine. With bright colours and flowing fabrics, you can never go wrong!

We love this dress, black and classic it is the perfect length with a cheeky peek-a-boo lace insert.

This last outfit is quite daring, but that’s why we love it! Blake picks up on the lime colour in her shirt with her shoes which works so well and brings the whole thing together.

As a Victoria’s Secret model it should come as no surprise that Alessandra Ambrosio has great fashion sense.

Never one to shy away from patterns and risqué styles, we chose our favourites from her extensive wardrobe.

We are in love with these shorts in her first look – pity we will probably never have the weather for them! The vibrant pattern is perfectly matched with a plain and simple white t-shirt.

This second look is very “ladies who lunch” which is why we like it so much. With a feminine shape and delicate pattern this dress would suit any woman.

Alessandra’s third look is very Valley Girl with a lemon ombre shirt and matching white shorts. It is a quintessentially Californian look.

This final look we absolutely love. Obsessed with jumpsuits, this plum and purple number would look just as perfect in our wardrobes as it does on Alessandra. Or at least almost as perfect.

Between this and cereal handbags, we’re beginning to wonder about haute couture these days!

Moschino’s AW’14 show at Milan Fashion Week featured a collection inspired by popular culture , which contained well know brands such as McDonald’s, Spongebob Squarepants and Budweiser, to name a few.

The result was certainly an exciting, colourful and vibrant show we would have loved to have attended.

The collection was the first for creative director Jeremy Scott who made sure it would be one to remember.

That Spongebob outfit is kind of growing on us.

We love Emma Stone and her style is always simple and stylish with a seemingly endless supply of lovely winter coats, collared shirts, skinny jeans and cute boots.

This first look is exactly that with a checked winter coat, cute grey jumper and matching hat.

This second look is a beautiful greek-style gown with a sexy side slit. We love the style of the dress so much but we aren’t convinced about the colour.

Emma’s third look is a trendy tartan jacket paired with her signature skinnies and a white shirt.

We love this last look – the lace, the hair, the lipstick – all of it! The gothic look really suits Emma we have to say.
