Jameela Jamil doesn't hold anything back when it comes to body-shaming, and abuse in the entertainment industry.

She has become renowned for her comments blasting the Kardashians for endorsing weight-loss products, and also is on a campaign attempting to ban airbrushing and photoshop.

The Good Place actress has now opened up about her feelings regarding designer Karl Lagerfeld, who passed away yesterday aged 85.

Jamil re-tweeted an article entitled Stop Mourning Oppressors: Anti-Condolences for Karl Lagerfeld by Lara Witt, expressing disdain for those who are sharing grief about the controversial designer.

"I’m glad somebody said it. Even if it is a little soon. A ruthless, fat-phobic misogynist shouldn’t be posted all over the internet as a saint gone-too-soon. Talented for sure, but not the best person," she wrote.

Chanel confirmed yesterday that the iconic German visionary had died. Lagerfeld worked as creative director of Fendi, Chanel and K by Karl Lagerfeld simultaneously until his death.

Lagerfeld was renowned globally for his acerbic wit, though some of his comments embroiled him in controversies, particularly those involving weight loss and #MeToo.

He was known for calling Adele "a little too fat", and said of Pippa Middleton; “I don’t like the sister’s face. She should only show her back.” Wow…

Of Princess Diana, he said in a 2006 interview; “She was pretty and she was sweet, but she was stupid." As if that wasn't bad enough, he then got political.

Two years ago on a French TV show, he blamed German Chancellor Angela Merkel for the migrant crisis and invoked the Holocaust.

The Guardian wrote that he quoted; “One cannot – even if there are decades between them – kill millions of Jews so you can bring millions of their worst enemies in their place.” Oh God…

He then targeted legendary actress Meryl Streep, claiming she had specially ordered a Chanel dress to wear to the Oscars, but changed her mind when a different designer offered her a dress.

Meryl completely disputes this, and Chanel doesn’t pay actresses to wear their fashions on the red carpet, despite the fact that many designers in the industry do.

When he was asked about Streep, he said, “A genius actress, but cheapness also, no?” Meryl responded, saying; "Karl Lagerfeld, a prominent designer, defamed me, my stylist, and the illustrious designer whose dress I chose to wear, in an important industry publication.

"That publication printed this defamation, unchecked." Don't hold back, gal.

Lagerfeld also told a German magazine that he will only hire thin models for his runway shows because “no one wants to see curvy women”.

When asked to comment on model victims of sexual harassment, said: “If you don’t want your pants pulled about, don’t become a model! Join a nunnery." Oh Karl…

Jameela Jamil's reponse to his death has caused some social media users to claim she has a lack of respect for the dead and condemned him too quickly.

“Seriously let’s have some respect for his death keep your opinion at least respectful at this time,” wrote one person. Others showed their support for the actress;

Others claim that she dragged his name too soon, and his family are only beginning to mourn;

“Regardless if your opinion is right or wrong, a lot of people seem to have liked and respected this person. Do you think it would be more respectful to voice your opinion after hes been mourned by friends and family?” wrote another user.

Jamil responded with another, succinct tweet;

She wrote, "Gonna write an essay about this instead of trying to put my thoughts on this into a tweet. How problematic the industry has been for girls is too complex for this."

We look forward to reading this essay, as the issue is definitely a complicated one. Do you agree with Jameela, or think it was too soon?

News hit yesterday that the iconic fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, the prolific creative director of Chanel and formerly Fendi, had passed away aged 85.

Tributes poured in from celebrities and members of the fashion industry alike, but the question on everyone's lips was; "What will become of his beloved pet cat, Choupette?"

Last year, the eccentric and controversial designer said that his cat would be one of the heirs to his $200 million fortune.

A statement from The House of Karl Lagerfeld confirmed his death, having died in a Parisian hospital after being admitted on Monday night, according to French news site Pure People.

While the cause of death is not yet known, French newspaper Le Figaro reported that Lagerfeld had been "weak for many weeks."

He was juggling work as the creative director of Chanel, Fendi and his own brand, Karl Lagerfeld at the time of his death, but last April he told Numéro that he'd had "every test under the sun and they can't find anything wrong,"

He went into great detail about what he would want for his funeral, and who would inherit his fortune, which was reported to be around $200 million when he died (€170,000)

"There will be no burial. I'd rather die," Lagerfeld said of his funeral. "I've asked to be cremated and for my ashes to dispersed with those of my mother … and those of Choupette, if she dies before me."

He was asked whether Choupette would inherit his fortune, and he answered; "Among others, yes. Don't worry, there is enough for everyone."

He told CNN back in 2013 that: "There is no marriage, yet, for human beings and animals … I never thought I would fall in love like this with a cat."

Choupette had an entire fashion collection dedicated and created for her, called Choupette in Love. Her eyes were even the inspiration for a Chanel haute couture collection, the dazzling blue having enraptured Lagerfeld.

A book titled Choupette: The Private Life of a High-Flying Cat was published in 2014, and she apparently earns $4 million a year after appearing in ad campaigns for Shu Uemura and German car company Vauxhall.

Lagerfeld once told Harper's Bazaar that Choupette had two maids, was cared for by his driver, and ate and drank out of dishes made by Goyard, a Parisian luxury goods maker best known for its handbags.

"She has one for water, one for her little croquette, and one for her pâté," he said in 2012, also mentioning that two maids monitored her day, including "two daily brushings." He also told Numéro that Choupette dined with him.

"Now she's an adult she dines with me. She sits opposite me and eats what she has to eat. Before she might have attacked any old prawn, but now she will only touch the four different dishes prepared for her on that day, served in fabulous bowls."

No one knows yet who will take care of Choupette now that her dad has passed on, but she's sure to be pampered for the rest of her days.

Get ready to splurge next season!

We just arrived back from Harvey Nichols' press presentation where we discovered ALL the exciting new trends and brands for the forthcoming season.

We were greeted by the Style Concierge of the store with tasty cakes and drinks to snack on (we obvs just couldn't say no).

Anita Barr, fashion buying director at Harvey Nichols, presented the trends for A/W with gorgeous Dublin model Yomiko Chen showcasing the looks in Dundrum Town Centre.

Anita joined HN in April and it's clear that she has big dreams for the major fashion house.

She brought us through a comprehensive presentation about all the new trends and brands that will be entering the store over the next few months – and they are ALL right on the money.

The key trends included Studio 54 which was full of decadent and luxurious pieces from brands such as Finders Keepers, Galvan and Alice + Olivia.

Victoriana, the next key trend, is inspired by modern gothic looks from Temperly and Talbot Runhoff. Expect to see a lot of lace and velvet pieces in the gorgeous collections.

Rebel Rebel was our favourite trend from the afternoon, with a mix of grunge and rock inspired looks. Isabel Marant, DKNY and Belstaff will be your go-to brands if you want to achieve the adventurous look.

There will be an array of new clothing and accessories brands entering the Dublin store next season too; Noir Sachin & Babi, Hugo Boss, Crea Concept, Canada Goose and Kenzo will fill the shops floors.

Meanwhile, hitting UK stores next month are Adeam, Mugler, Fendi, Mr & Mrs and Saflyaa – which Gwyneth Palthrow is a huge fan of. But why are we telling you about the new UK brands? Because you can get them here too. Hurrah!

With Harvey Nicks' new Click and Collect service you can order a piece from any British store and collect it in Dundrum. Handy!

To complement all the changes throughout the stores in Ireland and Britain, Harvey Nichols is also launching a Style Academy in October – an exclusive training programme for store sales advisors.

Harvey Nichols Dublin director Kenny Robertson also said: “Harvey Nichols is looking forward to celebrating ten years in Ireland this October.

"This autumn we are very excited to promote the full range of brands and services available in-store and introducing Style Academy matching exceptional service with styling expertise offering customers the ultimate shopping experience.”

We are really looking forward to all new brands, trends and expertise that will be hitting the store in the next few months.

We even have our eyes on a few piece already!

Kim, Khloé and even Kylie have gone blonde in recent months, but one person we never thought would join the platinum-haired ranks was Kendall Jenner.

The 19-year-old model stars in a new Fendi campaign with Lily Donaldson, and a behind-the-scenes photo from the shoot last week shows Kendall looking very different indeed.

Hair stylist Sam McKnight shared this image to his personal Instagram page, in which Kendall poses with bleached platinum locks, a total contrast to her normal look:

The photo was captioned, "Kendall Donaldson and Lily Jenner or is it@lilymdonaldson and @kendalljenner ? #lilydonaldson#kendalljenner #hairbysammcknight."

Much as we would love to see how Kendall would style her brand new blonde locks, it seems she and Lily had only donned wigs for the photo, as another image posted on Fendi's Instagram pages shows them in the same robes with their original colours restored.

Kendall also appeared at Coachella over the weekend with her signature dark brown locks in all their glory:

Is it just us or does she look AMAZING as a blonde all the same?
