Long before the new look Toblerone sent social media into meltdown, the folk over at Nestlé revealed that they would be replacing Quality Street's Toffee Deluxe with a Honeycomb Crunch.

"We wanted to celebrate Quality Street’s 80th birthday by introducing the first new sweet for nearly a decade," they explained back in September.

"We did extensive research and found that the Honeycomb Crunch was the most popular option for a new sweet and that many people felt there were enough toffee based sweets in the collection so the Toffee Deluxe made way."

Twitter, unsurprisingly, wasted no time venting their anger over the decision with like-minded chocoholics who couldn't fathom a festive season without a mouthful of toffee.

And while the good folk behind the Quality Street sweet have actually agreed to include the chocolate one last time this Christmas, the Twitosphere still isn't having it.

Basically, if they can't have it all year round, they don't want it at all.

Just days after McDonalds announced they would be adding a Nutella burger to their menu, the folk behind Ronald’s everlasting smile have gone one further.

In addition to your standard McDonald’s staples, Irish customers will now have the opportunity to tuck into the Signature Collection which was created by the company’s team of food specialists and its prestigious Chefs’ Council.

The premium range, which features a thick cut burger served on a brioche bun comes in three flavours– Classic, Spicy and BBQ – and is the result of  experience harnessed from Michelin-starred restaurants and the company’s own supplier network… if you don’t mind.

And while yes, the notions know no bounds, we’d be lying if we said weren’t intrigued.

Oh, and if that wasn’t enough, your Signature Collection burger will be hand delivered if you opt to make use of the chain’s new Table Service feature.

That’s right ladies, you can now get your munch dropped to your table if joining the queue isn’t doing it for you.

What a time to be alive!

As you might have guessed, we are major chocolate lovers here at SHEmazing! so naturally we were incredibly excited to learn that Mars is set to release caramel flavoured M&Ms.

At first glance it may seem strange that the chocolate giant has never attempted to channel this much loved flavour into its famed red and yellow sweets before, but this is actually because creating the right caramel for the job has taken Mars years of planning.

According to Delish, engineers were tasked with finding a caramel which would fill M&Ms without causing the iconic treats to collapse.

This process was very time heavy, but at long last chocolatiers are confident that caramel flavoured M&Ms are good enough to join the brand’s permanent collection.

While it is not yet clear when they will arrive in Ireland, the new M&Ms will hit US stores in May 2017.

If 2016 were to be defined by any mythical creature, it would have to be the mermaid.

From the body positive mermaid thighs movement to dreamy mermaid crowns and hair, this mystical figure of beauty has been busy dressing our newsfeeds with all sorts of sea-sourced magic.

This trend reached previously unseen levels of glory this week when mermaid inspired macarons appeared on Instagram.

Created by YouTuber Meghan Rosko, the Mermaid Macs feature turquoise macarons, multi-coloured mermaid tails and a luscious lilac filling, all of which, when combined, looks nothing short of mesmerising.

If anything tops sitting down with your favourite bar of chocolate, it’s having that bar of chocolate turned into an unorthodox treat.

Bray has become the first town in Ireland to home a chocolate kebab shop, all thanks to one married couple with a sugar-coated dream.

After sourcing a special chocolate kebab machine online, Declan and Christina Woods opened Sprinkles Café Bar on the Main Street of the popular coastal town.

As well as choco kebabs, the café offers waffle pops, fudge puppies, smoothies, whipped ice cream and coffee; so, whatever craving you find yourself with, Sprinkles will surely sort you out.

Much and all as we love gin here at SHEmazing! HQ (and we love it a lot), the idea of necking a straight glass is not for us.

And while we tend to mix it simply because we couldn't handle it in its natural form, something tells us that our ancestors weren't worried about their delicate palates when they created the much-loved G&T.

Unlike the rest of us who tend to add a mixer to our spirit, it turns out the people that went before us actually started with the tonic and then decided to add gin to cope with the taste of the former.

Our favourite mixer contains something known as quinine which was used to combat malaria back in the 1800s, but when a British officer in India decided he couldn't handle a straight tonic, he added a splash of gin, and our favourite tipple was born.

Nowadays, however, you'd need to get through at least 20 litres of gin and tonic for any kind of anti-malarial effect to take place.

And that, ladies, concludes today's History lesson…

A vegetarian who decided to tuck into a variety of different meat for the first time in a staggering 22 years has infuriated YouTubers this week.

Stephanie Potakis, who went veggie in just fourth grade, made the decision to hop off the wagon and get reacquainted with numerous meat-based dishes before sharing the footage online.

And not everyone is too happy about it.

Suggesting that Stephanie was attempting to pull the wool over viewers' eyes, one YouTuber commented: "This is disgusting and sad I would literally throw up. This is so fake no person that dedicated for 22 years would just throw it away with no hesitation."

"All the vegetarians I know who tried going back to meat throw the f**k up because their bodies can't digest the meat as well as they used to," added another.

It looks like from where they were sitting, Stephanie just wasn't behaving accordingly for someone who has been meat-free for more than two decades.

"What a load of bullsh*t, she was never vegetarian, look at her. P*ss off, who even gets that excited over a bloody dead cow. What a joke," fumed another viewer.

Sounding like she may be staying off the wagon for good, Stephanie gushed over every piece of meat placed in front of her  saying: "Jealous? Cos you should be cos this is so good."

You'll have to make your own mind up on this one…

If there are two words which never fail to make us happy, they have to be “unicorn” and “toast”.

So you can imagine all the glittery feelings which came upon us when we realised unicorn toast is actually a thing.

Currently there seems to be no set criteria for which food qualifies as unicorn toast and which food does not, but, given its name, one would have to assume that colour (and lots of it) is the ultimate goal.

From healthy avocado-laden varieties to gloriously gooey processed fairy food, check out our favourite examples of unicorn toast below.

When you're facing into your 117th birthday, it's inevitable you will begin to cast your mind back, and perhaps wonder what may have contributed to your remarkably long life.

And it looks like 116-year-old Emma Morano has cracked it.

A native of Italy, Emma puts her upcoming birthday down to her two-a-day egg habit.

Having been diagnosed with anaemia at the age of 20, Emma, who was born in 1899, began including eggs in her daily diet and insists they are responsible for her good health.

“Emma has always eaten very few vegetables, very little fruit. When I met her, she ate three eggs per day, two raw in the morning and then an omelette at noon, and chicken at dinner," her doctor, Carlo Bava, told Agence-France Press.

Still eating two a day, Emma reveals she also includes cookies in her daily plan, but struggles with the latter, saying: "But I do not eat much because I have no teeth."

Emma, who will turn 117 next month, is expecting visitors from all over the world, remarking: "People come. I don’t invite anybody but they come. From America, Switzerland, Austria, Turin, Milan … They come from all over to see me."

Here at SHEmazing! Towers we were oh-so ridiculously excited to hear about The Eatyard, a foodie market arriving in time for Christmas in central Dublin.

And now things have just gotten pretty epic – because three seriously delicious offerings have been confirmed for the launch.

Kicking off on Thursday November 24 Box Burger – a popular staple on the Bray seafront in Co Wicklow – will be there serving great gourmet burgers and sides loaded with finger licking toppings.

Next there's Dublin Donut Company – handcrafted doughnuts made locally in the capital. And especially for The Eatyard, the DDC team has come up with a build-your-own ice-cream doughnut with glorious toppings including the likes of homemade Reeses Pieces. Yum.

Finally, the family-run Broughgammon Farm has also gotten on board. Specialising in goat, free range veal, and seasonal wild game, they're all about sustainable food sourcing.

The Eatyard is setting up shop beside one of the capital’s best-loved bars, The Bernard Shaw, on South Richmond Street and frankly we're hungry just thinking about it.
