Everyone knows that cats are mean to dogs.

All dogs want to do is be their friend, and all they do is bully them.

Steal their beds, eat their food and swipe at them, cats are the worst.

This funny video bu Huffpost will make you smile on this dreary Monday morning!

If you thought all an apple a day did was keep the doctor away, think again. A study has revealed that they’re actually great for your sex life.

Italian researchers analysed 731 women, and separated them into two groups: Group A ate one or two apples a day, and Group B who ate no apples.

The women then filled out a Female Sexual Function Index, which asked them about sexual function, sexual frequency, orgasm, lubrication and overall sexual satisfaction. The results showed that the women who ate apples had higher FSFI scores, “thus increasing their lubrication and overall sexual function.”

Apparently the reasons apples are so good for improving our sex lives is because they contain polyphenols and antioxidants that can stimulate blood flow to the genitalia and vagina, which helps with arousal. They also contain phloridzin, a common phytoestrogen that is structurally similar to estradiol, an important hormone for vaginal lubrication and female sexuality.

Now, if we haven’t turned your stomach with the words ‘vaginal lubrication’, go eat your apples. And if you’re planning a REALLY steamy night, here are some other foods that can help get you feeling a bit frisky:

Strawberries
If you have mastered the whole ‘looking really sexy while eating strawberries dipped in cream’ thing – we salute you. However, that’s not the only reason they’re good for your sex life. They help increase circulation, which helps with arousal, and they’re also rich in vitamin C which has been linked to higher sperm counts in men.

Avocados
These fruits are high in vitamin E and vitamin B6 which promotes better blood flow. And as we said before, good blood flow is essential for good fun in the bedroom.

Almonds
Thought nuts were boring? Think again. Almonds contain selenium which is known to help with infertility issues. They also contain vitamin E and zinc, which is meant to boost libido.

Sweet Potatoes
Eat a couple of sweet potatoes for some sweet, sweet lovin’. They’re full of potassium which is meant to be good for erectile dysfunction.

Sesame Seeds
Sprinkle them onto your cereal or into a stir-fry to get a boost of zinc, which helps with testosterone production in men, so we’re going to assume it’s good for our sexual health too!

Ladies suffering from gym phobia will be glad to hear that you can lose weight without having to break into a sweat.

Follow these tips and you’ll be a skinny Minnie in no time!

Eat your snacks out of a bowl
If you are treating yourself to some crisps, pour them ino a bowl rather than eating them out of the packet. This way you will know exactly how much you have eaten and won't get a shock when you suddenly realise that the bag is empty.

Don’t supersize
When going for a takeaway, always say no to the large meal. No room for supersize when you are on a mission.

Drink plenty of water
Sometimes we think we are hungry when in fact we are just thirsty. Drink plenty of water so you won’t get confused between when it’s time to eat and when it’s time to drink.

Be a vegetarian for a day
Try to incorporate at least one vegetarian meal into your weekly meal plans. Stuffed peppers or a vegetable lasagne are just as filling as a chicken curry.

Don’t stuff your face
C
onsume enough food that you feel satisfied, not like you are going to explode.

Eat your brekkie
Never, ever skip on the most important meal of the day – breakfast. This will stop you snacking on carbs in the afternoon.

Go for a walk
It is also important you do some moderate exercise three times a week, so skip the lift and grab the stairs or get off the bus or train one or two stops before yours.

Being on a diet is a testing time for most women, however some of us take it harder then most. If the Kardashians can do it, why can’t we?!

1. Grocery Shop
It's only going to be healthy and organic food from now on. It looks like a cucumber, but it doesn’t taste like one. What's a "coorget?"

2. Gym Gear
Well we can hardly go to the gym dressed in sweatpants. The gym is no longer just a place to work out, it’s now a social scene and everyday is a catwalk!

3. Hairstyles
A fringe may have been the worst idea ever.

4. Where To Start?
OK, you’ve made it this far, you have to now look like you know what you’re doing. We'll just swan over here. Looks easy…

5. Already feeling skinny
It may have only been one day, but we feel like we've lost weight already! Pass the doughnuts.

6. The Pain!
Did someone say endorphins? Where?!

7. Why Is She Here?
Why is she at the gym, she’s already thin?

8. Why is No one Else Sweating as Much?
Not sure whether to cry, puke, faint or poop. Surely we're not the only ones.

9. You Did This to Me!
One month in a relationship and you've come to this. He will suffer.

10. Rice Cakes
Do they count if you cover them in chocolate spread?

11. The Gym Clique
They prance around in their little sports bras looking fantastic…one day you'll be their friend. One day.

12. There are No Substitutes for Crisps/ Chips
Feck off with your sweet potatoes, they are not the same. Are carrot sticks, salty fried potatoes? Then no, no I do not want some carrot sticks.

13. Hot Boys at the Gym
Why, why do you have to be here? Surely there’s a beautiful men’s club meeting you should be attending. You can't see us like this.

14. Hating Your Already Fit Friend
The one who’s trying to support you by keeping you motivated. The one who uses herself as an example of greatness and states that she feels rotten without a workout every day…Clearly she hasn’t heard of the feel good, chicken fillet roll, with extra mayonnaise. Use all your energy to avoid her instead of meeting her for one hour, three times a week.

15. We'll Just Do a Workout From Home
Who are you kidding?

There are some items that seem to appear as a collection in every student’s fridge. It’s like they get it as a welcome package. A tasty one.

1. Cheese
Cheese is just the most delicious thing in the world. It’s like a little taste of heaven. However cheese is not cheap and therefore it is like gold dust. Any time you go to take a few slices of that beautiful mature cheddar, the block slowly gets smaller and smaller before you’ve even taken the grater out of the cupboard. Those animals.

2. Sweet Chilli Sauce.
It doesn’t matter what you’re cooking, sweet chilli sauce goes with everything. Pasta, sandwhiches, chips, chicken. If it’s raw, burned, gone off. Sweet chilli sauce will save it.

3. Pasta
Pasta for every single meal is perfectly normal as a student. After a time, you even have your favourite type.

4. Pasta Sauce
What goes well with pasta? Tomatoe and Basil pasta sauce of course! If you’re trying to watch your diet you can get sauce with mushroom or if you’re feeling a bit wild why not some spicy pepper?

It won’t look like this…

5. Fajita Kits
Fajita kits everywhere, except that you’re too stingy to buy chicken fillets so you just use the wraps when you run out of bread, and Tom tried to eat the salsa when he was drunk. Anyone who offers to cook dinner, it’s going to be fajitas.

6. Beans and Spaghetti
If a nuclear war does ever come into fruition you are sorted with tinned goods.

7. Noodles
20 cent noodles. It’s not a question of how many do you need but how many can you carry.

8. Oranges
You had good intentions that one time and now they’re into their second phase of mould.

9. The Phantom Onion
You don’t know where it came from, you don’t know how it got into the vegetable drawer of your fridge but it did and yet no one thinks of throwing it out.

9.Mooju
This is generally in the fridge on a Friday morning after a night on the beer. Who would think that some chocolatey milkey goodness could cure what ails you but it does. It really really does. All hail Mooju.

10. Frozen Chicken Dippers
You can put them in anything, they’re great. They are what holds a meal together. 2.30am in the morning though, leave the oven alone, you are not in a position to operate heavy machinery.

11. Left Over Pizza
No one would order takeaway with you so you couldn’t get your meal over a tenner for free delivery. You do what any sane person does and buy a second pizza so you can have some saintly pepperoni for the morning to.

12. Rustlers Burgers
A college students life saver. Its a pre-made burger, bun and all that you pop into the microwave for a minute and voilà! Dinner is served!

13. Cereal
You will never see as much cereal as in a student’s house. For some it will be choco pops, for the rich it will be the original great tasting flavour of coco pops. Sadly though, no one ever thinks of buying milk and if they do, it’s more then likely left out all day.

14. Mammy Meals.
These are just the worst. Sunday evening they prance into the house on their little high horse with about 10 lunch boxes filled with lasagna’s, shepards pie and curry. These pretenders who believe they’re living the student life but they’re just big fat phoneys! What’s worse is they then take up all the freezer space with you having no place to put your prison food.

And then they have the audacity, no, the gumption to ask would anyone like to get some takeaway with their expendable cash.

We all enjoy fast food every now and then.

There is nothing quite like a delicious, tasty, fat-filled burger and fries after a night out or a messy, extra large pizza while we’re cuddling with our other half on the sofa. Mmm, we’re feeling a tad peckish now…

But do you know what you’re actually eating? If not, you definitely will after watching this video!

It’s never easy trying to keep healthy, especially with all the food trends that keep constantly popping up.

But it seems that a scientist Rodney Bilton, professor of biochemistry at Liverpool John Moores University in the UK, has now revealed some surprising new food rules when it comes to having a healthy diet.

Eat unripe bananas
They might not look as nice, but unripe bananas have been proven to be healthier in the long run. Green bananas stimulate the release of a hormone, glucagon, which boosts the rate at which our bodies burn fat.

Don’t mash the potatoes
This can be hard because we do love our mash, but ignoring the butter and milk that’s present in our favourite mash potatoes, there is also a lot of sugar there too. So heating, mashing and pureeing any potato releases the sugar faster out of the vegetables. So when it comes to having the spuds, it’s better to have them boiled rather than mashed.

Stay away from Tofu
A meat substitute for vegetarians but unfortunately quite high in fats too. Rodney said that any processed foods labelled as containing vegetable oil will invariably contain partially hydrogenated fats – and traces of trans fats – which will increase the risk of diabetes, heart disease and cancer.

Stay away from smoothies
You may think you have a safe bet with smoothies but they are loaded with sugar – fructose to be precise. Our body can only handle a limited amount when it comes to sugar and some smoothie companies even manage to sneak some fruit syrup in there. So if you need to make smoothies limit to once and a while and make your own.

The organic food industry in Ireland is having a great year with annual sales valued at €99.1 million – which means the industry could be back to its best days. In 2010, sales were at an all-time high at €106 million.

According to a survey, the average organic food consumer is a female urban-dweller in the wealthier ABC social class, and 73% of us said we’d buy something that was ‘local organic’ rather than just ‘organic’.

We like to go organic for special occasions too – 66% of shoppers said they would be more likely to buy organic if they were preparing a romantic meal at home.

Hmm, hopefully this means organic food will get a bit more affordable!

We’re all too familiar with the many food adverts aimed at women and of course, the double standards surrounding them.

Thankfully, CollegeHumor has managed to show the complicated relationship us ladies are supposed to have with food, in a hilarious way.

The joke advert shows women going about their normal day, but then of course scoffing down a box of yodels in secret.

Our favourite and probably most accurate quote from the advert, is of course this gem: “Eating is unfeminine. You should feel guilty about it … but also sexually aroused by it. But also, you should feel guilty about your sexuality.”

Not sure we want a packet of yodels after watching this, but it made us laugh anyway.

Another hit from Buzzfeed. Their staff have bravely opted in to taste test our Irish delicacies. Some of what they are treated to include  Tayto’s, Cadbury’s Turkish Delight and black pudding to which they refer to as ‘blood sausage’. We also have a problem with their choice of Tayto’s. Smoky bacon? Surely we’re more renowned for the cheese and onion!

The video is pretty hilarious and well worth a look. Anyone wanna try an ‘Irish taste tests American food’ version? Now that’d be worth a watch!
