Well, well, well; those snakes have officially been BANISHED. That's right…Taylor Swift is back with a phantasmagorial bang.

Her new pastel-themed tune is called ME! and it's a beauty, as well as featuring the great Brendan Urie from Panic! At The Disco.

Rumours are flying that ME! was supposed to actually precede Reputation, but when sh*t went down with the media regarding the Kardashians and Kanye West, she decided to show her dark side first.

Our pal Taylor has been dropping hints for weeks about her latest musical endeavour, and the pastel colours hint at a return to her 1989 roots.

Fresh from her Time100 success, Swift's return show's yet another streak for mastering her personal marketing brand.

The video is adorable, and features a Parisian aesthetic with the pop star even speaking French at one point. Très bien henny. There's also a nod to Mary Poppins in there too, randomly.

The gal loves Easter eggs, and there's plenty of hidden meanings in the Dave Meyers-directed video.

One thing's for sure…TS7 is going to be MAJOR.

Here are Twitter's most outrageous reactions to TayTay's new music video:

1. Fans have been #attacked.

2. Brendan Urie in suspenders

3. Spread the rainbow

4. This detective discovered a possible feature from the album;

5. Is she ENGAGED? Also we adore her kitty's cameos.

6. Her kitty fam possibly  just expanded

7. She has resurrected from the dead:

8. She's certainly changed her colour palette…

9. Reputation was dropping hints left, right and centre b*tches!

10. Swifties are incapable of remaining calm:

11. Is Taylor supporting Brie Larson's Unicorn Store?

12. She damn switched the light on:

13. Applicable to group projects, we think:

14. Her fans would die for her, but Instagram ain't having ih…

15. The feels are a little strong, to say the least:

At the moment, Taylor is currently on track to break the record for fastest music video to reach 100 million views on YouTube, after Ariana Grande's Thank U, Next and BTS' Boy With Luv.

It's surpassed 13 million views in just three hours, which is phenomenal.

Without further ado, here's Taylor's new video. Indulge in it, if you haven't already seen it. If you've already seen it, watch it again. It's worth it.

He never actually finished school – leaving Coláiste Mhuire in Mullingar when he was 16 and on the cusp of international stardom.

And while Niall Horan has since confessed that he wasn't always the most dedicated pupil in the classroom, he evidently was paying attention during French.

In a video clip posted to Instagram late last night, the 22-year-old One Directioner can be seen asking Mark, a burly member of his entourage, where they're off the next.

The best part? He asks in lightning-quick, très bien français.

The post has now notched up more than 400,000 likes and has attracted numerous comments which compliment Mr Horan on his pronunciation and proficiency.

En route to French-speaking Montreal in Canada, Niall and the rest of his One Direction bandmates last night performed at the Olympic Stadium as part of their On The Road Again tour, which concludes in October.

The pop-star was due to sit his Leaving Cert back in 2012, but after finding success on The X Factor in 2010, he left school aged 16.

He later spoke of his regret that he never got to see out his days in the classroom.

"My childhood was cut short by The X Factor," Niall explained last year. "One Direction took off and I never really got the chance to finish school or do my exams or anything like that."

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has been lying to us…because it turns out she CAN speak French.

Before she met her new husband, she just let the funky music do the talking…

(Sorry)

…but now Cheryl's upped her game as she fights for this (new) love.

The X Factor judge answered questions en français during a radio interview yesterday evening.

When asked if she was planning on performing on the talent show this year, Cheryl answered: “Oui oui, je suis," which translated to: “yes, yes, I am.”

It seems as if her new marriage to French man, Jean-Bernard has influenced her in many ways and it’s nice to see that she wants to learn his native language – who knows she might appear on French X Factor very soon!

French supermarket, Intermarché, have launched a campaign to combat food waste by selling “ugly foods” at a discount.

The campaign, which is called Inglorious Fruits and Vegetables, is hoping to re-educate their consumers when it comes their food purchases.

This comes after it was revealed that we throw away 300 million tons of food each year. As part of the campaign, Intermarché have released various posters which include images of disfigured fruit.

The supermarket is hoping to highlight that it’s the taste that matters when it comes to your fruit and veg, and not how they look.

We think this is a great idea, and definitely something that needs to be introduced on our Irish shores.

What better way to make the most of warm days ahead, then with some chocolate mint macaroons. The recipe for this French treat may be long, but the results are worth it.

What you’ll need:

  • 165g almond flour
  • 165g caster sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 150g granulated sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • ½ tsp. tartar cream
  • 4-6 drops green food colouring
  • 235ml cream
  • 2 tbsp. light corn syrup
  • 11 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1 tbsp. unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp. peppermint extract

What you’ll need to do:

  1. Line baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Sift almond flour, caster sugar and salt a bowl and then set aside.
  3. Whisk together granulated sugar, egg whites and tartar cream by hand to combine. Then with an electric mixture whisk for ten minutes, until the mixture is meringue is glossy with stiff peaks.
  4. Then add the dry mixture to the egg white mixture and fold using a large spatula until both mixtures are smooth and shiny. Fold in food colouring into the new mixture. The batter should be nicely firm and drip slowly from the spatula.
  5. Transfer the batter to a pastry bag fitted with a ½-inch round tip and pipe one-inch rounds on prepared baking sheets. Rap bottom of each sheet with hand to release trapped air.
  6. Let stand at room temperature for at least 30 minutes. Check for slight crust to form – macaroons should not stick to finger when lightly touched.
  7. Preheat oven to 110°C. Bake one sheet at a time for 15 minutes, rotating halfway through.
  8. Increase temperature to 180°C and bake for an additional 9 minutes.
  9. Let macaroons cool on sheets for 2-3 minutes and transfer parchment sheets to a wire rack to let cool completely before filling. Use an offset spatula to remove from sheets.
  10. Now it’s time to work on the ganache (sauce between the macaroon shells). Place chopped chocolate in a medium heat safe bowl and set aside.
  11. In a small saucepan, bring cream, corn syrup, and pure mint extract to a boil over medium high heat.
  12. Remove from heat and immediately pour over the chocolate. Allow chocolate to sit for two minutes before stirring until smooth. Add butter and stir until fully incorporated and the chocolate is shiny.
  13. Allow to cool to room temperature, stirring occasionally. Transfer ganache to a pastry bag fitted with a ½-inch round piping tip.
  14. Pair together shells of like size and shape before starting to fill.
  15. Pipe a generous layer of ganache on the flat side of half of the shells and sandwich with the matching shells flat side down.
  16. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
