It may be over twenty years since Friends first aired – but Ross and Rachel's love story will always be one of our favourites.

Here are the times they made us believe in true love:

1. The time she realised

2. When Ross finds out…

3. When they kiss

4. When Ross got ready for the prom and he was her lobster

5. Whenever they play U2…

6. When they had a baby together

7. When Rachel actually gets off the plane

Rejection can be hard for many people to take. No actually, everyone. Whether it be a job interview you thought you nailed, a friend who turned away, or the love of your life turning you down, we've all been there.

Here are the five stages of dealing with rejection:

1. Denial
This is the stage where you bury your head in the sand and pretend 'the incident' never happened.

2. Anger
At your ex, the person who turned you down, the universe, yourself. Everyone is out to get you, nothing is working out for you. You feel hard done by and will not let anything pass. Try to avoid emailing/texting/calling whoever it is you hate right now. It's a bad idea, this stage will pass.

3. Bargaining
Reverting back to denial, you still can’t accept that there’s nothing you can do to change their mind. You promise to change, to be a better person, you email the college and tell them you’ll take up extra classes or work for free on campus, you ask for a second interview, you promise that guy you'll change.

4. Depression
Usually the stage where you spend days in bed, not getting washed or dressed. Feeling hopeless and either overeating or under-eating. Friends, housemates and family don’t know what to do because you are feeling so hopeless. Nothing they can say will penetrate the depressive cloud that has formed all around you. You feel like you will never be accepted anywhere by anyone. You see yourself as a failure. You still blame everyone else but now you’re blaming yourself too. You have no energy to be angry anymore. You’re done with that, all you feel is sad and alone.

5. Acceptance
Finally, you come to terms with everything. This can happen suddenly, or gradually, bit by bit. It doesn’t mean that you’re going to be jumping around thinking life is great but you’ll be able to deal and move on. You’ll get into another college, you’ll be in another relationship and you’ll be attracted to another person. You recognize that you totally over-reacted, but you're human and everyone deals with it. Hopefully you won’t go through it again but now that you have, you might handle it better next time. Everything is going to be okay. Okay?

College is a place where you meet so many different types of people and have a chance to try new things. You have endless chances of making new friends with all the events, clubs and societies and yet somehow come out four years later with eight…but at least they are good ones!

1. Your First Day Friend
You probably have nothing in common with this person and you made friends simply out of fear of you both being alone on that first day at orientation. But somehow it's stuck!

2. The Smart One
This one is great for motivating you to actually do the readings which you realised over time are recommended for a reason. They also alway seem to know when assignments are due and when the in-class tests are scheduled. This friend is basically your college planner because lets face it, the 2014 planner you bought last January is still blank.

3. The Best Friend For Life
They say that you make your friends for life in college and that is 100% true with this friend, you seemed to just click and get on very well, you can see yourselves being friends for years. They’ll probably make a good speech at your wedding reliving your golden years.

4. The Older One
They may be a mature student, a repeat student or even just someone a few months older that fills a sibling like role. They essentially have more life knowledge than you do and therefore are happy to lend a hand when you need it.

5. The One You Secretly Fancy
Boys being boys (dense) he was not receiving your signals as flirting and you are now firmly in the friend zone. Which is fine except for the fact he expects you to high five him when he pulls on a night out…

6. The One Who Lives On Campus
Great for somewhere to crash on a night out after college events or when you accidently spend your taxi fare home on jager bombs. They are also obligated to host the venue for pre-drinks before nights out.

7. The Agony Aunt
This one should be studying psychology as they always know exactly what to say and do. It doesn’t matter if  you come to them for help with something as big as changing courses or something as small as what to text the guy you met in Coppers, they always have a solution.

8. The Party Animal
Their grant and part time job solely funds their social life and they could drink the entire Geordie Shore cast under table. Which is not advisable. Obviously.

As we all know by know, Friends is coming to Netflix US.

This hopefully means it will reach our shores very soon…

To keep us entertained till that exciting time, Netflix US have released a brand new promo for the show – and it's epic!

Featuring Central Perk, Gunther and the classic theme tune, we cannot wait!

Trending

We are beyond excited right now.

As you may have guessed, we’re pretty massive Friends fans here at SHEmazing! – but then again, isn’t everyone?

Lovers of the classic show received some pretty amazing news today, with online streaming site Netflix revealing that it will be adding the entire Friends collection to its online library.

That’s all 236 episodes – perfect for binge-watching, 365 days out of the year.

Now, we understand that you are very excited – so it’s time to break the unfortunate news that we Irish folk may have to wait a little while before we can experience this treat in full.

That’s right, it’s our neighbours across the pond in the US and Canada who have the privilege of getting first access to the catalogue, but we imagine it won’t be too long before we get to share in the fun.

Maybe a strongly-worded email might speed up the process?

Either way, it’s looking good!

In honour of this momentous news, we’ve decided to take a trip down memory lane, with one of our favourite Friends moments of all time.

We all love Friends and people who say they don’t are not to be trusted.

Much of this generation's humour has stemmed from this legendary programme and even the ones we’ve seen before give us a few laughs.

Here’s 16 things you might not have already known about your favourite show.

1. The Geller Siblings
Ross is Monica’s older brother, but in real life, David Schwimmer is 3 years younger than Courteney Cox.

2. Ellen was almost Phoebe
Ellen DeGeneres turned down the role of Phoebe Buffay.

3. ‘The Couch’
The orange couch used in Central Perk was found in the basement of the Warner Bros. studio.

4. ‘The White Dog’
Joey’s statue of a white dog was originally given to Jennifer Aniston as a good luck present from her best friend when she started acting. She offered to lend it to the show for the episode where Joey became rich and bought a lot of stuff. After that episode, the producers decided to keep it.

5. Central Perk
The artwork in Central Perk was changed every three episodes.

6. Monica’s Fridge
The refrigerators in Monica’s and Joey’s apartments actually worked. Monica’s was filled with water and other drinks for the cast and crew. Joey’s was usually virtually empty, unless the inside of the fridge was going to be seen in a specific scene.

7. Paychecks
No Friend ever made more money doing the show than any others. They started out making $22,500 per episode and ended up making $1,000,000 per episode. All negotiations were done in unison. Kudrow said, “The six of us are far stronger than just one person.”

8. The Love Interest
Before the show was cast, the main love interest was intended to be Monica and Joey.

10. Courtney expecting
In the last few months of shooting Friends, Courtney Cox became pregnant, but, seeing as Monica wasn’t supposed to be able to have a baby, they covered up her pregnancy by making her wear baggy clothes while shooting the show so no one could tell.

11. Dollah Bills
When Matt LeBlanc auditioned for the role he only had $11 dollars to his name. When the cast got their paychecks, the first thing that Courtney Cox bought was a car. Matt LeBlanc bought a hot dinner.

12. Free Cameos
Because of a bet between Matthew Perry and Bruce Willis on the set of The Whole Nine Yards (which Perry won), Willis appeared in his two-episode guest role for free.

13. Silly Names
Other titles considered for the show were “Friends Like Us,” “Six of One,” “Across the Hall” and “Insomnia Cafe.”

14. Genius
Matthew Perry’s wit is so legendary that the scriptwriters have often incorporated his gags into the show.

15. It’s pronounced Josh-Oooh-Ah
Joshua – Rachel’s boyfriend in this and a few episodes either side, was in fact Jennifer Aniston’s boyfriend around that time.

16. Real Tears
At the end before the gang leaves to get some coffee, there is a shot of Rachel crying and using Ross’ arm to hide it. These are real tears that happened during filming and weren’t suppose to be in the final shot.

Our boyfriends tend to see the friends in our lives in an entirely new light…mostly because they're probably not friends with them. Here is how your man sees your friends!

1. The Overly Possessive One
If you bring your fella on a night out she'll be the first one to say "I thought this was a girls night out" and also guilts you into cancelling date night because she "never sees you anymore" yet when she has a boyfriend you literally NEVER hear from her.

gollum precious

2. The Gay Friend
Except your boyfriend just thinks he is making it up to be all close and cuddly with you – boys eh?

3. The Moany One
She's always letting guys mess her about and your man will think she's a really sweet girl (which she is) but he doesn't know why she has to bake brownies in your house at 2am after that guy doesn't text her back. Again.

4. The One He Kind Of Fancies
She's hot. You know it, she knows and your boyfriend definitely knows it. Not to fear, he's with you for a reason and if she's a true friend you could lock them in a wedding suite for a week and nothing would happen.

5. The Cheeky One Who Fancies Him
Well, he thinks she's flirting with him, in reality it's a test and he'd better pass or he'll see her true side…

6. The Male Friend
You've been best friends since you were kids but people say he's a cross between David Gandy and Ryan Gosling. You don't see it yourself and he's more like a brother but your boyfriend doesn't see it that way.

This could be the most exciting news we’ve heard all day!

It looks like a Friends reunion could be on the cards, with reports claiming that Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow may be about to team up for a new project.

Everybody, calm down. Breathe!

Yes, it seems that despite how disappointing the trio’s Jimmy Kimmel sketch was, Courteney is quite keen to make it into something a bit more permanent.

“Courteney wants to direct a pilot starring herself, Jen and Lisa as middle-aged women who have kids by artificial means,” a source told Heat, adding, “They had dinner together in LA on the 23rd of September to discuss details and it went really well.”

Apparently the three actresses are “incredibly excited at the prospect of working together again”.

Our inner nineties fan girls are about to explode with happiness!

Fingers crossed this pilot will actually materialise, and we’ll have something to look forward to in between those Friends reruns.

Hmm, so you've been friends for years or else it's a new friendship – but you can't help thinking she might not actually be that nice…

Here are the signs that"friend" is actually much more of a frenemy.

1. You’re the Butt End of all her Jokes
You have become the punchline of all her jokes. Look, we all have that one friend that gets way more slagging then the rest but there has to be a limit. She goes out of her way to make sure you know exactly where your place is.

2. They Can Give It But Can’t Take It
Slagging matches are always good fun but if they only go one way then they tire easily. She is in her element when the spot light is on you but as soon as you turn it back at her, she goes into a huff and tries to make you feel guilty about making fun of her so you, in turn apologize.

3. She Always Points Out Your Faults
She knows what you’re self conscious of so she uses it to make sure you stay in your place. She’ll start the sentence with, ‘I’m not being a b**** or anything, but…’ Or ‘no offence, but..’ If there’s a ‘but’ in the sentence you know where it’s going to go.

4. Back Handed Compliments
This is pretty much used in combination with the pointing out of your faults. She compliments you, you say thanks, and then you realise what she said.

‘I love your hair like that, it really takes the attention off your nose’

‘Awe thanks, wait what?’

5. She’s Disappears and Reappears
When you’re together, she gets really possessive for weeks at a time. She is constantly hanging off you and wanting to spend time with you but then she’ll disappear for another month. Any plans for coffee are rarely fulfilled.

6. She’s Completely Different Around Other People
When you're alone she’s actually grand but when you are with others, she’s a different person. If you’re with people she doesn’t really know, she gets nervous and she immediately falls back on insulting you for giggles.

7. She is Constantly Changing Friend Groups
Are you the only constant friend in her social circle? She goes through friends like it’s going out of fashion. It’s never just an acquaintance. When she makes a new friend, ‘she loves this girl’. It always ends in a fight and it’s ALWAYS the other person’s fault.

8. She is Always ‘One Upping’ You
If you have a sore finger, hers is about to fall off. Have a date with a boy? Some guy just asked for her hand in marriage.

9. She Has No Problem in Ditching You
If something better comes along, she has no problem in not meeting up with you and cancelling at a minutes notice.

10. Her Friendship is Like a Favour to You
You should be honoured. Like seriously, even just to be in her presence should be enough.

This is just genius.

If you're a Friends fan, you probably pride yourself on your ability to recite all the best lines off by heart. Well, don't get too cocky, as this little girl would whip yo' ass in a catchphrase-off.

Being just three years old hasn't stopped Annie from becoming the ultimate fan of everyone's favourite nineties sitcom. She's got all the lines down, from "We were on a break!" to "You had rambled on for eighteen pages… front and back!"

We guarantee you'll fall in love with this little comedienne… stay tuned for a pretty impressive Smelly Cat cover at the end!
