OK, let's try not to freak out and totally fan-girl but the news is true, there will be a FULL Friends reunion soon.

NBC has confirmed that Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer will all take part in a special show to honour sitcom director James Burrows.

The special is going to air on Sunday, February 21, which possibly means they will be filming pretty soon.

However, NBC's Robert Greenblatt put a little spanner in the works: "Hoping that all six of them will be in the same room at the same time, but I'm not sure we can logistically pull that off," he said.

Will and Grace's Sean Hayes will be producing the special episode and the Will and Grace cast will also be included.

This is going to be one hell of a show.

OK, so we may have overdone it on Christmas, eating all the turkey, stuffing and mulled wine in sight. But now, it's time to hang up the eating pants and embark on our 2016 resolution of working out and dieting with the girl squad… right?!

Wrong! Because as it turns out, having the same diet as your friend can actually be a really bad idea.

A recent study from medical journey, Cell, has revealed that eating "healthy" is different for every person.

The study involved a number of tests and surveys on 800 people, and they conducted body measurements and blood tests on each candidate.

They then gave the participants identical meals while also monitoring their blood glucose levels every five minutes.

The researchers studied the glucose levels which allowed them to account for each participants glycemic index (GI) in relation to what they were eating, which helped them determine what foods were more responsible for raising their blood sugar.

They discovered that each person's GI was different, even though they were all eating the same foods.

The researchers explained that, "Growing evidence suggests bacteria are linked to obesity, glucose and diabetes," adding, "specific microbes indeed correlate with how much blood sugar rises post meal."

So, what they're really saying is even if you have the exact same diet as your friend, it could be really good for her, and not so great for you.

Your best bet for a healthier new you is to stick to what suits only you and keep a diary of how different food and exercises effects you and your body.

We've seen enough flashback episodes of Friends to know what Rachel Green looked like as a teen, but it turns out Jennifer Aniston looked almost identical to her in the early days.

Years before she got her breakout role on the NBC sitcom, Jennifer starred in another TV comedy called Molloy – with none other than The Big Bang Theory's Mayim Bialik.

Mayim took to Instagram this week to share an amazing throwback of herself aged 14 with a 21-year-old Jennifer beside her.

"Yes this is me and Jennifer Aniston in my childhood bedroom. We did a show together before I did 'Blossom.' #tbt" wrote Mayim next to the sepia-tinted snap.

Anyone else see the resemblance?

Last year Mayim shared another – and equally hilarious – early Nineties throwback, this time showing Jen rocking dark, almost black hair and a tartan miniskirt.

Oh-so emo.

We are LOVING these blasts from the past – wonder how Jen feels about them, though?

Let's be real, we'd be totally lost without our phones. And in this day and age, the odds of someone not having a phone are pretty much zero.

But if there's anything you've noticed in the recent mobile phone years, it's that everyone has a different type of phone personality.

From the early adopters to the peeps who are ALWAYS plugged in, here are the six types of phone users in your girl gang:

1. The early adopter

Now, we're not talking about a baby bitten by the technological bug, we're talking about those people who always have the latest and greatest from the technology world.

They probably had your phone three years ago when it first hit the shelves in China and have since moved onto the next best thing.

2. The one who NEVER has data/credit

There's always one in the group, isn't there? At the start of the month they eat through their data plan and by day four it's all used up.

They spend the rest of the month trying to send 'call me' texts and scramble onto Facebook to see what the hell in the world is going on.

3. The one that's ALWAYS plugged in

We all know this type. No matter what's happening or where they are, they always have their phone attached to their hand.

Whether it's dinner, a movie, in class or in work, they will always be plugged in. Just who are they talking to?!

4. The technophobe

This lady is almost afraid of her phone and uses it to the absolute bare minimum. They can manage the odd text or phonecall but don't even think about Whatsapp or Twitter.

They also always wonder why they never hear about the group's plans… Ahem, if you looked at your phone every once in a while…

5. The constant texter

This person just hates talking on the phone. The second their phone flashes and a call is coming through, complete panic washes over them.

Even if it is just their mam asking what time they'll be home at. They will also pretend to text if an awkward situation arises.

6. The one who never has battery

This is probably the most annoying type of all, both for you and your friend.

Having to lug around a charger everywhere is not fun, but not being able to get a hold of someone constantly, is not fun either.

Since Friends launched on Netflix at the start of this year, eagle-eyed viewers in the US have been picking up on a few mistakes that went unnoticed until now.

Some of them, like the 'Reserved' sign at the Central Perk, have cleared up things we've long wondered about – how DID the gang always get the same table without having to fight off other coffee lovers?

But other "mistakes," like this one discovered by entertainment site Recently Heard, have totally weirded us out.

Season 9, Episode 15 (The One With The Mugging) might seem perfectly normal, until you spot one GLARING error. Here's Joey and Rachel, standing casually in Monica's apartment:

The camera cuts away to Monica, then it goes back to Joey and Ra- OH WAIT:

Before you go writing to NBC to complain though, there is a very rational explanation for this impostor. Back in the days of the show's original release, when the series were only available to buy on VHS, most TVs used a 4:3 aspect ratio.

With the dawn of widescreen, we now view our shows from a wider angle, meaning we get to see a few extra centimetres on either side of the screen that would previously have been hidden.

The result? All those stand-ins that were used when Jennifer, Courteney and the gang were busy getting their make-up done or chilling in their trailers are now VERY clearly visible.

Here's another example, this time of a Monica who is most definitely NOT Monica.

We're questioning everything we thought was real life.

If talking to your friends to tell them you're free to do something is too much effort, there's now an app for it.

Google's new Who's Down app allows users to notify others when they're free to hang out and socialise. All you need to do is toggle the list and it will tell you the users that are available at any given time.

The toggle lasts for three hours and can be manually switched on or off if your plans happen to change.

Users can also mention what they're up for, whether it's coffee, some shopping or just some chill time, but there's also a list of activities you can choose from like grabbing lunch or watching a movie.

The app also notifies your friends that are in the mood to do something similar, and once enough people want to do the same thing, it automatically opens a group chat so you can organise your plans.

But the conversations only last for 24-hours, so once the messaging stops, there's no need for anymore pesky notifications.

The new app is available on both iPhone and Android and uses an invite system to gain more users.

Jennifer Aniston and her famous ‘Rachel’ style were coveted by many for years after she first debuted the layered look on the sitcom Friends.

But while people everywhere were lusting after her locks, Jen has admitted that she herself was not such a huge fan. In fact, she refers to the hair cut as a "big, horrible mistake."

The actress claims the famous style did not have any real staying power.

“He [hairdresser Chris McMillan] gave me the 'Rachel', which was a big, horrible mistake. I mean, it was great at the time, but it was a never-ending legacy for some reason.”

Probably because many people were massive Rachel and Jen fans, and she pulled it off very well.

“It only lasted for about six months because it just was hard to do. I loved it, but I couldn't style it on my own. So Chris also just has that way of [making me be] completely reliant on him."

Well, now we know that celebs like Jen really are just like us. Everyone knows that washing and styling your hair for the first time after a big style overhaul can be a bit tricky.

Luckily for Jen, her hair stylist has given her some pro-tips so that her at-home hair routine is pretty much foolproof.

She told Allure that Chris has trained her in the art of the blow dry and she has perfected the art of the “big round brush” blow out.

"I'll whip that out and get a really good arm workout at the same time," she said.

Good news for Friends fans!

Ross is going to be making his triumphant return to Channel 4 in a new sitcom, and people are very excited.

However, it won’t actually be Ross Geller on our screens, so should maybe put our celebratory leather pants and teeth—whitening strips away for the time being.

David Schwimmer is going to be starring in a new TV series but his new character is definitely not Ross.

Morning Has Broken will follow the story of an American TV producer brought in to rescue a failing breakfast show. It will be the first time David, 48, has been back on our screens in a sitcom in the 10 years since Friends has ended.

Julia Davis is the mastermind behind the series and will also co-star with the Friends alum, according to the Guardian.

We’re pretty excited to this. Actually, very excited.

Whole Ross Geller was possibly one of the funniest characters to have ever appeared on our screens, he was often thought of as the least lovable friend.

However, you can’t deny that some of the best comedic moment on the series were down to Ross’s antics.

The fact “Unagi” is still something we refer to too often than we should is just a testament to David’s acting.

So we are looking forward to the chance to see him take on an entirely new role. In case you needed reminding of just how good the actor can be, here's seven minutes of comedy gold for you to enjoy:

21 years ago today, the very first episode of Friends appeared on TV screens. The sitcom went on for 10 more years and became one of the most-loved sitcoms ever.

We could never decide which of the six friends we would want to be our own BFF, to be honest we kind of just wanted to be friends with them all. As it turns out, most Irish women want to be best friends with not Monica, Rachel or Phoebe but Amy Huberman takes the top spot.

A survey from One4all has revealed that when it comes to who Irish men want to be besties with, funny man Chris O’Dowd takes the top spot. So apparently being funny is still how some of the best friendships are made, Chandler would be relieved we imagine.

Meanwhile, the Friends cast still come out on top when it comes to ‘Friendship Goals’.

Jennifer Aniston and Courtney Cox were voted the ultimate celebrity friends. The on-screen/off-screen besties have been friends for over 20 years. Most recently Courtney acted as maid of honour at Jennifer’s wedding while Jen is also godmother to Courtney’s daughter, Coco.

Being godparent for a best friend’s child was reported as a highlight of their friendship for 25 per cent of the women surveyed. Being asked to be best man was the proudest moment for 19 per cent of the men.

When it comes to special occasions, almost half of those women surveyed said they would spend between €25 and €50 on a gift for their friends but a third of men would spend between €1 and €25.

Interestingly, almost a third of Irish adults said they count more than five people among their closest group of friends, sounds familiar, yes?

Friends may have ended a whole decade ago, but fans still love re-imagining alternative endings and outcomes for the sitcom's six lead characters.

One change we're glad never came to pass though is a version of Friends WITHOUT Jennifer Aniston.

The 46-year-old actress started playing the role of Rachel Green in her mid-twenties, and while she has gone on to do plenty of film work since, it's still her most memorable part.

But last night actress Jane Krakowski revealed that it could have been her in the beloved role if things had gone a little differently.

"I, like almost every actor in the world, auditioned for Friends," Jane told E!'s Giuliana Rancic on the Emmys red carpet.

"I wish I had gotten that one. I actually auditioned for Rachel and didn't go very far."

Friends kicked off in 1994 and ran for ten years, finally ending in May 2004. With a starting salary of €20,000 per episode that soared to €890,000 per episode for each lead cast member for the final two seasons, it was certainly a gold mine in terms of TV roles.

Luckily for Jane, her big break came along just a few years later, when she landed a part in Ally McBeal as office assistant Elaine Vassal.

She later went on to play vapid actress Jenna in Tina Fey's 30 Rock, and is currently starring in the hit Netflix series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt alongside Ellie Kemper.

All the same, Jane admitted her manager was "very sad" that she failed to swing that Friends role. Yup, we would be too.

Friends fans should probably brace themselves because there is exciting news for all of us.

A café has been created that is an actual replica of the Central Perk. They even have the orange couch, lads.

The Central Perk café in Liverpool is pretty much as amazing as the one from the beloved sitcom, except there's always a queue for THAT couch.

That doesn’t really matter though because everything else is pretty on point. From the light fixtures to the red brick walls the place was designed to make people feel like they are on the actual set of the show.

While Friends may have come to an end in 2004, Gunther has seen something of a renaissance as according to the website, this Central Perk comes with its very own Gunther.

This is the first time a full-scale replica of the coffee house has been created in the UK, aside from a one-off pop-up in London a while back. This is much more impressive though, mostly because it is there to stay!

Another bonus; they have open mic nights, and Smelly Cat merchandise. Some night they promise to even play back to back episodes of the sitcom.

Oh, and they do a ‘Gunther’s birthday surprise’ offer. So if it’s your birthday then you get a free coffee.

There is also a script signed by the cast from The One With The Red Sweater, as well as the blackboard.

Remember how excited Rachel was about writing on the specials board? That’s how excited all the Friends fans feel about this coffee shop.

Ok, so it is in Liverpool but that is so much closer than New York, it’s much more doable.

Weekend away anyone?

Last week us Friends fans got a little treat when a rare deleted scene from the show surfaced again online, but today's update is definitely not quite as welcome.

The hit sitcom ended after ten seasons back in 2004, and for the most part, everything turned out for the best. Ross and Rachel reunited, Monica and Chandler packed up and moved to the 'burbs, and the gang stood in the iconic apartment one last time before hitting Central Perk for a final cup of coffee together.

But one fan has theorised an alternative ending to the hit sitcom, and it's far, far darker than we could have ever imagined:

Anyone else have the shivers after reading that?
