The Grammy award winning singer Kelly Clarkson has been delighting her fans of late as she covers everything from Bryan Adams to Miley Cyrus with serious talent.

On Tuesday night, she appeared on the popular Jimmy Kimmel Live show and put on another incredible show.

This time thought it was a performance with a twist. Rather than cover some of her much-loved peers hit tracks, she opted for a more romantic approach.

Well, if you consider finding love with a right swipe and a dating app romantic that is.

The sometimes sweet, but mostly bizarre and sometimes creepy profiles of Tinder users were Kelly’s lyrics.

A foot fetish and a hairless cat lover became the basis for some amazing tunes. No seriously, she nailed it.

We’re not sure if anyone aside from Kelly could actually pull this off, but she did a seriously impressive job.

These days it feels like you can’t turn left or right without having some sort magical detox method being waved in your face.

Everyone in celeb-land is promoting one as they lounge by the pool or strike a coy pose half hidden behind their giant mugs of metabolism boosting herbal blends. So you would be forgiven for hopping on the health and fitness band wagon and giving one a go.

Before you do, perhaps it might be worth keeping a few things in mind. One being; no fad diets are going to give you the lasting benefits a healthy diet and manageable exercise routine does. Also worth noting, after 14 days you will probably end up eating all the cupcakes anyway.

We put together a list of the things that will probably happen when you try a tea-tox.

You realise some of them are super expensive:

You will tell everyone about this magic tea:

You will try to stick to the guidelines:

You will realise that timing your meals and corresponding teas is incredibly annoying:

You may experience a very dramatic energy burst:

You will lie about how delicious your tea tastes:

The 'cleansing' part may not be all that glamorous:

The sugar depravation can cause some frustration:

You will pick the one weekend where everyone is going out:

There may come a stage where no cupcake/burger/caffinated beverage near you is safe:

We honestly don’t know a single person who has ever said ‘I like being stuck in traffic’. Traffic jams are one of the most frustrating moments in the day-to-day lives of anyone with a driving licence.

We thought trying to make our way home on a bank holiday Friday evening was a struggle, but we could hardly imagine the stress of navigating rush hour in Los Angeles. The California city is notorious for its epic traffic delays. And the heat, we’re getting fidgety just thinking about it.

However, one talented musician is trying to lighten the mood for anyone feeling a little stressed out.

YouTube star Alex Grosse was stuck in traffic when he came across the Pied Piper of L.A. The local legend was also stopped in traffic.

Instead of letting his frustrations get the better of him however, he decided it was the perfect opportunity to start something of a session.

The Piped Piper was certainly the highlight of Alex’s day, and we have to admit we’re considering keeping a tin whistle in the car to be prepared for our next big delay.

Oh summer, we hardly knew you and now you’re going and leaving us again. This weekend will be the last bank holiday of summer 2015 and we were very excited about it.

However, Met Eireann have essentially destroyed any tiny glimmers of hope we may have had for one final impromptu at home beer garden. We’re very sorry to tell you this, but it just doesn’t seem to be happening.

Honestly, we’re trying to look on the bright side but it’s difficult with all that mist getting in our eyes.

You might want to have a look at this break down before you get out the camping gear.

Friday

Finally! Can you not just taste the freedom? You might consider indoor activities before you go all out and get the wash, colour, cut and blow-dry treatment on your lunch break:

“Staying cloudy in the east with patchy rain and drizzle, most of which will occur later in the day.”

Moving swiftly on then.

Saturday

“Showers for Ulster and west Connacht, some of which may turn heavy. A couple of showers may make their way across the midlands and into the Greater Dublin Region later in the afternoon.”

Sounds pretty decent, just make sure to keep your umbrella in easy reach.

Sunday

Oh but wait Just as we got our hopes up, along comes the Sunday forecast to annihilate the summer vibes.

“A dull, wet day with widespread rain, persistent and heavy at times. Rather windy too, especially later. Highest temperatures of just 13 to 16 degrees, coolest over Ulster. Southeast winds will gradually increase fresh to strong and gusty.”

Ah yes, because “rather windy” and “strong and gusty” are exactly the conditions we want when we’re on the beach. Look, you can try and make it as scenic or romantic and whimsical as you want, but rain on the west coast is not exactly rom-com wonderful.

It’s a bit less this:

And more like this:

Monday

Just to really run it in for us on our day off.

“Damp to begin with patchy outbreaks of rain… Showers will move into the south of Munster at times though, with rain arriving into west and southwest counties towards evening.”

Oh come on!

If you’ve been using social media at all in the last several years then you’ve more than likely come across this particular face from time to time.

Inspiring the masses to create hundreds of thousands of creative and oh so witty memes this little guy is now all grown up.

Just two days ago a woman called Laney Griner came forward to take ownership of the original photograph. It went on to become known by many as #SuccessKid and he got us through everything from navigating dodgy first dates to not losing your phone on a night out.

Laney took to Twitter to let us know that she had snapped the photograph back in 2007.

One curious social media user asked the question will all wanted the answer to: “what does he look like today?”

Well, ask and you shall receive. Be warned though, we feel just a little older now. Not necessarily wiser, but older.

We hate to do it but: #success

Thank you social media for bringing this to our attention. Hour of wondering what happed to this proud little guy and now we finally have an answer.

Ah, we love our Dads, especially when they get frustrated and whip out the curse words.

Irish girl Corey Hughes tried out the '30 Cows' riddle on her poor da and he just couldn't cope with the stress. If you haven't heard the riddle yet, here it is:

If you're still confused, try saying it like this: "There were 30 cows in a field, 20 ate chickens, how many didn't?"

Poor Corey's dad couldn't take the hint though, and his (NSFW) reaction has us laughing waaay too hard.

There is literally tears rolling down my face. The "30 cows in a field" riddle answered by my da the end though

We think it’s fair to say nobody really wants to do the washing up. It’s probably our least favourite job to do around the house.

That being said, there’s nothing more frustrating than arriving home after a long day and being welcomed home by a pile of dishes in the sink. Not one person has ever thought ‘oh joy, some three day old corn flakes for me to scrape off a mouldy bowl!’

One dad, absolutely fed up with his teenagers sloppiness, decided to take his words of warning to a whole new level.

He decided to warn them about the dangers that existed out there for those unfortunate souls too lazy to clean up after themselves.

Reddit user Iabuzan wrote: "My teenagers refuse to put their dishes in the dishwasher. So I put this above the sink."

Borrowing a few now immortal lines from Liam Neeson’s character in Taken, the dad takes things a step further when he threatens the teen’s precious Wi-Fi connection.

He really knows how to stir up some motivation for housework!

It turns out his children are actually pretty competent in every aspect of life, Iabuzan clarifies they’re just “slobs” when it comes to house work.

Otherwise we might even call them pretty high achievers seeing as one graduated from college a whole semester early.

“Let me just put on eyeliner and then we can leave- oh wait…”

Nope, no eyeliner for you today, or mascara, or blusher or concealer for that matter. The unthinkable has happened: You lost your makeup bag.

Commence complete meltdown. It happens, whether you’re a cosmetic junkie or you’re just out here trying to have a good time with a great contour, it can happen to you. There is nothing worse than the frantic scramble you do when you realise your beloved makeup bag is missing.

It can be an emotionally draining experience, we feel your pain.

First there's the panic:

Then there's accepting meaningless sympathies from your friends:

"Thanks Emily but you're NW25 and I'm NW30." Wtf Emily? Get it together gal.

So you try some quick DIY tricks, it works for internet people, right?

"BUT IT'S IMPOSSIBLE BECAUSE WHERE IS MY SMOKY EYE PALETTE"

So you just have to admit defeat

You will get through this, we believe in you! Stay strong and hey, now you can re-stock your make-up collection, hurrah!

Over the last four days if you were online shopping you may have come across this gem.

Adverts.ie user Hurley21 is offering up a “lifetime VIP membership to the holy grail of the Irish nightclubbing scene”.

Yes, you read that correctly, this generous man is offering up his CopperFace Jacks Gold Card.

Well, generous might be a bit of an over statement. The asking price for the card is set at €250. A bargain, he assures us.

In case you ever wondered what these coveted memberships mean, he sums it up quite nicely in his ad:

“This rare piece of card allows you and one friend to skip the torturous queue and gain free entry to the club at any time in the night, 7 nights a week, 364 days a year.”

We think he may be aware this his asking price seems a little steep, as he’s quick to stress that only serious regulars should make an offer.

“No silly offers, it's worth a lot more to the right person, if you go ten times before schools are back you'll have already made a return on your investment! Please don't buy unless you go every week, it would be such a waste!”

He’s right, and you know it.

Some potential shoppers have been a bit put off by the expiry date printed on the card, which reads June 2011.

No worries, master salesman that he is, Hurley21 assures us that it won’t pose a problem.

“Never happened to me in over three years, regardless of the doorman or even on the busiest nights, I would happily take the card back and give you a refund if you couldn't get in with it for whatever reason!”

No offers have been accepted just yet, but we spot one shopper placing a €2 bid.

It does seem to come out of a place of sincere good will, as Hurley21 says: “you simply cannot put a price on one of these things. I am only selling this on as I have two and don't want to be greedy anymore.”

Irish expats in Toronto were left a little shellshocked this week by a very controversial ad campaign.

The ad, posted on a truck which has been driving around Toronto's streets in the last couple of weeks, shows an Irish flag and the message "Go Home Irish!" It also features a website, helpfully titled PleaseLeaveCanada.com.

Before you start ringing up the Irish Embassy in Canada to complain though, it might be worth noting that the campaign is more than a little tongue-in-cheek.

The website listed actually redirects users to an Irish ad agency's site, where the following message is displayed:

Aaaaw.

"We want you to come home. Not as much as your mum, but still," the folks at The Social House add on their blog. "We’re going through a growth spurt at the moment, and would love to add talented, prolific, skilled people to the mix, both on the account handling and creative sides of the office."

The ad has popped up outside a number of high-profile ad agencies in Toronto of late, in the hope of catching the attention of some talented Irish employees who might be lured into moving home. Cheeky, but we like it.

We really love the summer months, especially when we finally get some actual sun shine. It can be absolutely glorious and everybody wants to be on the beach living their best life.

However, sometimes things can go a little downhill. The struggle can get very real, very fast when those temperatures go up and your makeup is just not in the mood to cooperate.

We identified those summer time trials that can sometimes push us to our very limits.

Allergies. Eyeliner and hay fever are not a match made in heaven.

Humidity + Hair = Tragedy

Sunglasses getting stuck in your hair. Nothing makes us feel more glamorous.

Waxing, shaving, just hair removal in general.

Attempting to leave the pool in a dignified manner.

Tan lines. Just put the Crocs away.

Getting dressed in the morning when the sun is shining but then suddenly, bye-bye sun shine. You can't wear floral crop tops in that, you'll freeze!

If you've been single at any stage during the last two years you've no doubt given Tinder a go. And within five minutes, you probably realised that every guy you swiped left for fell into one of a few categories.

There's the lad who insists on only posting group photos, with no indication whether he's the semi-hot guy or the definitely-not-hot guy (meaning he's probably the latter). Then there's the gym buffs who only post mirror selfies of themselves topless and always mention their love of #gains.

And of course, we can't forget the creeps who are only here for the ride, and nothing else. Charming.

Youtuber Jessica Spencer has been giving Tinder dating a try herself lately, and we're loving her take on the world of online dating:

Sort yourselves out, lads!
