Ah the internet. It is such a wonderful place filled with hilarious cat videos, GIFs for any and all emotional states and of course celebrities sharing with us the ins and outs of their daily lives. 

The internet is also responsible for thrusting some of the most ridiculous phrases into our everyday conversations. We see it plastered all over Facebook and Instagram so therefore inserting words like 'fleek' and 'belfie' into actual sentences is a (somewhat) natural progression.

When you make the decision to step off the treadmill and move towards the squat rack, the gym can become an entirely new world.

It can take some time to get used to the change in routine. However, once you have you might just start to abandon your go-to spinning classes altogether.

The stronger you become, the better you start to feel- and apparently slamming heavy things can act as a bonus stress reliever (all when done under proper supervision to avoid injury of course).

Making excuses to wear tank tops even when its winter is a common side effect because yes, your shoulders do look great, good job- but there are some other things girls who lift weights are guilty of doing that they will never admit to.

Over the last year audiences have seen Sky Sports make a huge effort with their coverage of GAA.

In efforts to improve their programming for everyone they’ve been pulling out all the stops to help with their analysis and draw in the viewers. 

 

However, it would appear that GAA fans may not be completely abandoning their usual programming any time soon.

Former Dublin inter-country player John Magee had tuned in this morning and noticed that there were a few basic pieces of information that seem to have been overlooked.

Presenter Mike Wedderburn had a bit of a snafu when he was discussing the Player of the Year nominations:

It was a good thing the ever-professional Rachel Wyse was on hand to try and correct the error. Although some fans were not going to forgive and forget so quickly.

If you're in a long-term relationship you're likely sick to death of people asking when you plan on getting married/having kids, but spare a thought for the poor Danes.

Denmark is known for its low birth rate, so anyone of child-bearing age is probably getting hounded on a daily basis to start a family.

Now one travel company has come up with a solution for the country's aging population issues… kinda.

A new ad, aimed at older parents who are just gagging for a grandchild, suggests they pay for their child to go on an "active holiday," with the hope they'll spend lots of time between the sheets.

The logic? People are more likely to have sex on a sunny holiday.

Plus, couples who break a sweat together are apparently proven to have more sex too.

"You were there when your son learned how to walk, but when it comes to making grandchildren it might be a little awkward to help out," the ad says.

"Maybe it's time to get a little proactive."

Would-be grandparents can purchase a Spies Travel holiday for their child – be they single or attached – in the hope that they'll be inspired to get down and dirty. 

The Do It For Mom campaign is a follow on from the Do It For Denmark campaign in 2014, which offered an "ovulation discount" to any couples planning a romantic city break.

An ovulation discount? We could get on board with that.

Anyone who has ever owned a pet will tell you that when it comes to their guilty faces, it can be hard not to give in. It doesn't' matter if they blatantly just tore your couch apart or not, if you're pup is capable of laying on the charm really thick, then you'll end up forgiving them.  

Pet owner Anthony Federica Granai’s was not very happy with his dog, Ettore, for example and while no one is quite yet sure what exactly the canine did, he was very very sorry for his crimes.

The adorable pooch just keeps on trying his best to say sorry but Anthony holds out for as long as he can before forgiving the little guy. 

Eventually, though, Anthony cannot resist and end up forgiving the  bundle of canine cuteness.

On every night out while there are going to be a hundred great things that will definitely happen, there is also going to be a number of not so great things that are bound to crop up. 

Most of these you tend to only realise after the events themselves. It happens, and most of the time we can laugh it off and focus on the good things. After hundreds of nights on the town having the time of your life though there are still a few things that crop up every single time. Whether these are bad or good just know that you are definitely not alone, it happens to us all.

Host of the Late Late Show James Corden has seen his career go from strength to strength of late. 

After a move to the states to take over the job of hosting one of their most popular late night talk shows, he managed to win over plenty of viewers with his humour. Car pool Karaoke has seen him take on some absolutely hilarious tunes and we got to hear Jennifer Hudson give the most ridiculous live performance, ever. 

However, obviously James is keen to make sure he doesn't get pigeon-holed with his latest career venture. 

He decided that he wanted to see what all the football fuss was about in the states and managed to get himself onto the pitch with the Oakland Raiders team.

The team have a crowd of fans that are notorious hard to please as far as American football goes, but James seemed eager to rise to the challenge. 

He also spent some time trying to get on their good side as he joined the fans in one of their favourite pre-match activities, tail-gating.

This is essentially a lot of food and drinks enjoyed in a car park type setting. James did not arrive empty handed though, he brought his own snacks. Serrano ham to be exact, because he's fancy.

So you know how soul destroying it is when someone promises you something and then rip it away from you at the very last second? Yes, well as it turns out it is not just humans who have felt this pain.

Julio from Las Vegas managed to capture that exact emotion when his husky Yuka was denied the last piece of Julio’s burger. After he shared the image on Imgur, it quickly went viral.

It looks a part of her soul has died on the inside.

A whole spectrum of emotions are captured right there; pain, shock, disappointment, anger and betrayal.

How could you this Julio?

Not to worry though, Julio told Buzzfeed that Yuka is normally tried to pretty much any other meals being eaten in the household.

“Baked chicken, veggies, or fruit. She’s a healthy eater,” he explained. He also added, “She always sleeps in my bed and needs a pillow to lay her head on at night."

This complaint will certainly brighten up your day!

Billy Cunningham from Kent was shocked to find his meal deal offer invalid as he went through the self service till in Tesco.

He was so disappointed that he wrote a letter of complaint on Facebook that was so melodramatic, it caught everyone by surprise.

To make matters even more hilarious, Tesco replied with an even better responce to Billy.

As many young couples tend to do, Emily and Johnny shared numerous photos of themselves on Facebook. Emily wasn’t expecting them to be shared over 30,000 times on Twitter, but it happened.

Emily and her boyfriend really, really love selfies. So much so that she’s willing to put her career on hold in order to get the perfect shot. After all that practice they really do know how to work their angles. All of the angles.

Her collages were noticed by many of her Facebook friends, but no one was quite as taken with them as her parents. Nancy, Emily’s mom loved them so much that she decided to recreate them with Emily’s dad.

The results were hilarious.

They absolutely nailed it.

Emily didn’t take it so well.

She kind of got over it, after a while. A friend of Emily told Buzzfeed that this kind of thing wasn’t a surprise coming from her mom, but her dad was a different story.

“My dad is sort of conservative so it’s interesting she got him to participate,” she said.

The best part, her parents haven’t actually met her boyfriend yet.

As of yesterday Queen Elizabeth II became Britain’s longest reigning monarch. She beat Queen Victoria to the title who held the record at 63 years, 7 months, 2 days, 16 hours and 23 minutes.

Elizabeth, 89, has said that this achievement was not something she “had ever aspired to”.

She opened a new railway line in Scotland yesterday and only mentioned the honour briefly in her speech as she thanked the crowd for welcoming her.

Meanwhile, internet users had much more time to spend marking the historic occasion. As usual, they gave their very best reactions.

North West may only be a toddler, but sometimes we feel like she's already more mature than her dad, who seems too busy planning to run for Prez with Taylor Swift to think about growing up.
