‘Some called it porn’ Newlyweds slammed over THIS wedding shot
OK, so we all know a couple's official wedding photographs have the potential to look a little… well… samey.
With many photographers following the same pattern for most couples, it's no surprise that many newlyweds want to shake up the process and inject a little individuality into proceedings.
But it looks like one couple's quest for a unique set of snaps backfired when they found themselves on the receiving end of serious abuse after sharing them online.
In a move not many of us would be rushing to replicate, Gareth Ferguson and his wife Toni decided to simulate a sex act as part of their official photos, and not everyone is impressed.
"People have told us it's disgusting, that we've lost the plot or have missed what a wedding is supposed to be about. Some have even called it porn," admitted Toni.
Offering an insight into their thought process, Gareth said: "The photo was both of our ideas. We wanted to do something a bit different."
"Nobody knew about it except the photographer. He found it hilarious when we told him what we wanted before the big day – he loved it."
While many couples would blanch at the prospect of posing for such an intimate shot, the newlyweds said they had a blast posing for the photo.
"We were in absolute hysterics. I'm glad you couldn't see her face and I had my back to my camera because we could not stop laughing." Gareth confirmed.
"Toni spent ages just staring at the floor giggling like a schoolgirl. I don't think she would have made it through any of the others I wanted to do. That was by far the tamest one."
According to the Irish Mirror, the couple have since removed the shot from Facebook after receiving countless negative comments.
