Geordie Shore

There have been a LOT of changes in the Geordie Shore house over the last year and it looks like the controversial reality show could be about to lose another original cast member as Holly Hagan is reportedly moving stateside.

According to the Daily Star Online, the 24-year-old television personality is flying to the US this month to meet with TV producers and search for houses in a bid to crack LA.

A source told the site: “Holly Hagan is off to Los Angeles later this month to meet with a load of TV producers.”

“She'll also be house-hunting while she's there in West Hollywood.”  Fancy!

After flying first-class across the pond, Holly is apparently going to stay in a penthouse “to get herself in the right frame of mind”.

According to the source, Holly has one major advantage over her MTV co-stars when it comes to making it in the States as because she’s not actually a Geordie, her accent is more subtle than that of her friends.

They said: “Holly has an advantage over the other Geordie Shore reality stars because of her accent…She's from Middlesbrough, which is a little easier to understand for the Americans.”

The other obvious advantage Holly has is the fact she does not possess a criminal record, something many of her cast mates cannot claim for themselves.

Earlier this year Holly hinted that she could be about to follow in Charlotte Crosby and Vicky Pattison’s footsteps and leave the Geordie Shore house behind her.

Speaking to The Sun, Holly – who has been part of the MTV reality series since she was just 18 years old – admitted she’d “been thinking about leaving a lot”.

Whether Holly will go through with the move has yet to be seen, but a West Hollywood penthouse apartment sure does sound tempting.

Earlier this summer Charlotte Crosby revealed to the world that she had suffered an ectopic pregnancy and while he has said relatively little on the subject prior to now, Charlotte’s ex Gary Beadle has finally shared his thoughts on the loss of their child.

In a new interview with the Daily Mail Australia, the reality star revealed that he spoke to Charlotte everyday on the phone after he heard the news but admitted he did not fly home from filming Ex On The Beach to be with her because her surgery had gone well.

He told the paper: “If she’d said I’m in the worst pain ever, I can’t move I’m dying, obviously I’d be on the next plane home.  But she was like I’m okay, don’t worry I’m fine.”

“Maybe I should have gone back.  It still hasn’t kicked in. I was like s***, if it hadn't happened I would have a kid.  Obviously I was devastated.”

“I would have loved [to have had a child with Charlotte], I can’t really say now what would have been or what would have happened.”

In the interview Gaz said he and Charlotte were not in an official relationship when he heard the news and claimed that until that point he did not know Charlotte was pregnant.

He stated the pair had agreed to keep the news to themselves and admitted he was upset when Charlotte decided to go public with her ectopic pregnancy story.

He also confessed that at this stage there is no chance of he and Charlotte ever reuniting.

Referring to a recent interview in which Charlotte described him as worse than a murderer, Gary said: “She said I was worse than a murderer, that to me was the final straw, I don’t want to talk to her or about her.”

“It’s done, I’d never get back with Charlotte.  It's done and dusted after five years."

“She’s left Geordie Shore and I think she’s dating other people.  She needs to move on to the next chapter of her life and I want to do the same.”

The former couple met while filming the very first series of Geordie Shore back in 2011 and, while their relationship has always been tumultuous, it now seems to be in a worse state than ever before.

Gary 'Gaz' Beadle is not exactly known for his subtle manner and ability to hold back.

Gaz and his ex-girlfriend Charlotte Crosby have been at loggerheads ever since she revealed that she had suffered an ectopic pregnancy while Gaz was filming Ex On The Beach.

Adding to the drama that surrounds this pair, Gaz made a sly dig at his ex this week, throwing major shade in his column for the Daily Star.

Gary's column includes a question and answer section, where fans can tweet him anything and he answers very honestly.

One particular fan asked  "What's the worst sexual experience you've had? What happened?"

Gaz answered with the following: "There was one time when the girl pissed the bed…"

WELL… if that isn't a dig at Charlotte, then I don't know what is.

Charlotte has become rather famous for her tendency to wet the bed over the years, most recently soiling herself while sleeping in the Big Brother house.

It would seem as though the couple's feud is only getting worse, with Charlotte describing Gaz as being "worse than a murderer" earlier this week.

When asked whether she was worried about another guy matching up to her ex-boyfriend she said there was "no way she could go any lower."

It looks like a Charlotte and Gaz reunion is off the cards, for now anyway.

The famous couple began a very public feud in May 2016, when Charlotte revealed that she had suffered an ectopic pregnancy.

After a number of angry exchanges between the two on Twitter, which resulted in Charlotte quitting Geordie Shore – it would seem that she is still PI***D.

In a recent interview with new! magazine, Charlotte got candid about her feelings for her ex-fella.

"No one can even come close to how much of an evil, vindictive man he is. Even a murderer would be better than Gary Beadle. He is the worst, the lowest of the low" she said.

Ouch!

Charlotte insisted that she will never, EVER make up with Gary, stating that "there can be no reconciliation."

Gary doesn't seem to be letting Charlotte's words bother him, sending out a tweet last night saying "sticks and stones can break my bones, but words can never hurt me."

It would seem as though the couples of Geordie Shore are all doomed to fail.

They had one of the most turbulent romances – if you could call it that – in the Geordie Shore house, and it doesn't sound like Marnie and Aaron are any closer to finding a way to make their attraction to each other actually work in the real world.

From blazing rows to tearful reunions, the reality stars really knew how to keep viewers on their toes, and even had social media users suggesting a marriage was on the horizon when Marnie was spotted wearing a ring in a recent online post.

Responding to rumours at the time, the outspoken Geordie slammed people for jumping to conclusions, tweeting: "It’s on my RIGHT hand. Use your brain. Please. It’s taken in a mirror so it’s therefore the opposite way around."

Eager to dismiss rumours that herself and Aaron are heading for a fairytale ending, Marnie opened up in her column for Star magazine, and revealed that the pair had a lot of work to do before they could consider becoming an official item.

"Aaron and I have serious trust issues, which is why we can’t be together. I don’t think he trusts anyone," she wrote.

Acknowledging that she too has matters which need resolving, 24-year-old Marnie continued: "I have my issues as well, though. We both need to work on ourselves before we can have a relationship

"He’ll always have a place in my heart, but we need to be single for now," she insisted

Well, that's us told.

Her fans were quick to offer reassurance, however, with one writing: "Ya gorgeous babe couldn't ever imagine you feeling or looking like s***"

Another added: "Life's to short to feel s*** mate dust it off and keep smiling :)"

Earlier this year, Charlotte also shocked fans by quitting Geordie Shore. She also revealed that she had suffered an ectopic pregnancy shortly before breaking up with co-star Gaz Beadle.

Police in the UK have launched an investigation into the death of a glamour model who appeared on MTV reality television show Geordie Shore.

Aimee Spencer – who was also known by her stage name Carla Mai – suffered critical injuries after falling from a first-floor flat in Brighton on July 11, and eventually died of her injuries on Monday of this week.

"The 27-year-old woman who fell from a window of a Brighton flat has sadly died from her injuries at the Royal Sussex county hospital on Monday 18 July, " a spokesman for Sussex police confirmed.

"The woman had been in a critical condition since she was discovered having fallen from the first-floor flat window in Chichester Terrace on Monday 11 July at 9.08am," he added.

It has been established that a 28-year-old Brighton man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with Aimee's death this week, and acording to The Guardian, a 28-year-old woman was also detained on suspicion of class-A drug possession with intent to supply.

According to a police representative, the investigation is ongoing, saying: "Officers are continuing to investigate the circumstances of how she fell from the window."

Aimee's family have taken to social media to remember their daughter and sister, with a sibling writing: "I can’t believe that my sister has left us. She put up a fantastic fight and I will love her forever."

Aimee appeared on Geordie Shore when she was invited into party with the cast in their villa in Magaluf while filming on location.

Commenting on her appearance on her Instagram bio, Aimee wrote: "Lucky me got picked to go back to the party villa. All I remember is rolling around on the floor like a drunk loser and jumping in bed with Vicky."

Our thoughts are with Aimee's friends and family this week.

It’s been a tumultuous few months for former Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby, but it looks like the reality TV sensation will soon be returning to our screens with a brand new show.

According to The Sun, the Big Brother winner is set to make her TV comeback as she is reportedly taking part in a new reality dating programme with a rather unusual twist.

The unnamed dating show aims to match members of the public with their favourite celebrities and will be produced by Lime Pictures – the same company who makes Geordie Shore and The Only Way Is Essex.

The new venture has been described as having “a celebrity cast who are looking for love and would like to date members of the public” and its producers are currently seeking ordinary people to take part.  It is expected that Charlotte will begin filming next week.

The bubbly Geordie has been single since she split with her on/off boyfriend Gary Beadle earlier this summer but rumours that the star is romantically involved with TOWIE cast member Mario Falcone have been circulating since the pair were spotted flirting on Twitter last weekend.

Just weeks after Chantelle Connelly got her boyfriend's name tattooed on her neck, he decided to publicly dump her on Facebook.

But it looks like Tommy Sayers is seriously regretting his decision now.

With Chantelle reportedly having quit Geordie Shore in order to make a go of things with Tommy, his harsh rant against the reality star on social media made for some very uncomfortable reading, and he now knows it.

Taking to Facebook (again), Tommy apologised to his former girlfriend and set the record straight on a number of reports which were born of his earlier post.

"This status isn't about slagging or ranting it's clearly to apologise to Chantelle Connelly for the way a went on on my previous statuses," he began in a post last night. (sic)

"I was just so angry and couldn't think of any other way to hurt her as I felt so hurt myself," he explained. "She's not selfish one bit, the opposite in fact, she's helped me loads with my shop, and also helped me when I've had not a penny."

Setting the record straight on pretty serious aspect of his former post, he continued: "As people have been saying I said 'she was off a head on drugs', that's a lie, I ment she was mortal on jagerbomband tequila." (sic)

In one particularly gallant move, he added: "Mainly I'm sorry for doing what I did, ano we are completely over as we both agreed on, not just me, if anything she got rid of me," (SIC)

"Why hold grudges against someone especially someone you've been best friends with since we were kids," he asked. "I wish ya all the best for ya clothing range ‪#‎getthattrend‬, and what ever else you have for the future, hope we can be pals again."

Signing off the post which has received hundreds of likes, Tommy admitted he was mortified by the whole sorry situation, writing: "Am cringed to f*ck writing this status wow."

Oh, the humanity.

Vicky Pattison might be well known for her ballsy on-screen persona, but the Queen of the Jungle revealed today that, just like everyone else, she can be her own worst critic.

According to Celebs Now, the former Geordie Shore cast member burst into tears as she shared with the Loose Women panel her battles with self-scutiny.

As part of this afternoon's show, Vicky had to listen back to a pre-recorded clip of herself as she voiced some of the negative thoughts she has about herself and, understandably, the experience was an emotional one for the reality star.

Vicky was reduced to tears as she heard herself saying: “What are you doing here?  You’re not as good as everyone else.”

The tape also revealed how the Newcastle native compares herself to other women and tells herself she’s doomed to fail.

She said: “Look at them – everyone’s so clever and glamorous.”

“They’re thinking, ‘Who are you, what are you doing here?’”

“Just make it easier and go now.  You’re gonna fail and everyone’s gonna laugh.”

Vicky went on to explain that she experiences such negative thoughts every day and admitted she tries hard to act like people’s comments don’t affect her but in reality they do.

She also confessed that her insecurities are only made worse by the comments she receives on social media.

She said: “People tear strips off the way you look, which is never nice. I get everything – people say I don’t deserve to be where I am because of my past.”

Since the show aired, Vicky has received a stream of online support with women admitting they love and admire her and encouraging her not to give in to the negativity which at times surrounds her.

The Geordie thanked her fans by tweeting: "So overwhelmed by all your amazing support and messages after my appearance on this afternoon's @loosewomen.. It was a tough one for me!"

Move over Kim K, it's Gary Beadle's turn to tamper with our texts as he sets out to make his mark on the weird and wonderful world of emojis.

The original Geordie Shore cast member has created his very own set of mobile friendly images that are now available for purchase through the Gazmoji app which – despite having only been launched last night – has already hit the number one spot on the App Store's list of top paid entertainment apps.

And if you though the Kimojis were NSFW, wait until you see what Gaz has to offer.

The Newcastle native told The Sun: "I wanted to make a new app that my followers will use and also get to number 1.  I don’t think anyone else in the UK has launched their own emojis so I just thought, why not?”

“The app star made us delete some more of the graphic Gazmojis but I think we have got away with quite a lot."  You think?

The Gazmojis – which are available for €0.99 on the Apple App Store – are very obviously inspired by Gary’s own life with jagerbombs, parsnips and his controversial white powdered Ferrari key all making the cut.

The reality star also told The Sun that "every single swear word" he uses is included in the graphic collection.

This isn't Gary's first attempt at breaking into the app business as he previously launched the Gazzd app which played Geordie catch phrases for its users, but so far it does seem to be his most popular venture.

Not only has the Gazmoji app topped the app charts, Gaz's colourful creations are also getting a whole lot of attention on Twitter.

An astonishing investigation into steroid-use in this country gives a glimpse into just how prolific drug-taking is among fitness fans.

“Anecdotal evidence suggests that thousands of young Irish men in particular are taking and using steroids,” RTÉ Radio 1 reporter Brian O’Connell revealed on this morning’s Today With Sean O’Rourke.

The drug is usually used to boost body image and to add on muscle or bulk in an unnaturally short space of time.

Strains include trenbolone, a hormone for bulls, and boldenone (also known as Equipoise), a hormone for racehorses.

And while it remains a taboo issue, the RTÉ report highlights that it is no longer merely confined to an extreme, underground body-building world.

“It’s something that we’ve been hearing for several years – that usage among young Irish males has been steadily rising,” Brian reiterated on the show this morning.

As part of the segment, he interviewed two steroid-users – both of whom spoke anonymously – and the insight into their world is shocking.

“You normally inject in the bum – for the simple reason that there’s more bulk there and also because it doesn’t show as easily,” explains the first case-study, who has been using for several years.

“Steroids have always been a part of the scene, and anyone who says different is wrong,” he adds. “But what wasn’t a part of it previously was the volume of steroids taken by people.

“And the type of people has changed too. In the past it was just your hard-core serious athletes. You certainly didn’t have young guys watching the likes of Geordie Shore and then taking it.”

He went on to say that while he didn’t feel like an ‘addict’ if a young person still in their teens approached him and looked for advice on steroids, he’d “advise them against using at such a young age”.

He went on to explain that young men who get caught up when they're 17, 18, or 19 were struggling to maintain a ‘normal’ level of testosterone once they hit their 20s. “If you put something synthetic into your body, the natural production of it stops,” he said, “so their sex drive is dropping down to nothing.”

And it seems more and more people from a wider variety of sports are dabbling in steroid usage too: despite the health risks, rugby players, GAA players, rowers, soccer players and more are interested in what the drug can offer them.

“I was asked by a guy recently – and he was just playing junior GAA football – for something to increase his stamina,” Brian O’Connell was told.

Last year, Made In Chelsea star Spencer Matthews was asked to leave the I'm A Celebrity jungle when he admitted that he was taking steroids.

He later described the decision as "one of the biggest regrets" of his life, and said he took the drug "completely out of vanity" because he wanted to "look good in the shower".

The 26-year-old furthermore revealed that he was first offered steroids while training for a charity boxing match.

In Ireland it is illegal to procure anabolic steroids without a prescription or from anywhere other than a pharmacy. In the last four years, 150,000 steroid units have been seized by customs – a figure that’s widely considered to be the tip of the iceberg.

The problem is now so extensive that a new drop-in service specifically for steroid users will be provided by Merchant’s Quay Ireland from the end of this month.

The Dublin-based organisation says that over the past two years, more and more young men between the ages of 18 and 35 have contacted them for clean needles.

In fact, this group now accounts for more than 10 per cent of the men who come into the exchange.

“I started using steroids when I was about 18 or 19 through a friend. I was always into fitness from a young age – into the Bruce Lee films and all that,” a second user told the RTÉ show.

“I was training and I was in shape but I wanted to put on size; I always felt I was too thin. With steroids I felt once you use them right you put on size quickly.

“In a week and a half I put on a stone and a half of muscle – I went up to 15 and a half stone eventually.”

He added that at times he was injecting himself on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays – and then again on Sundays, spending around €300 on a course that would last six weeks.

The response to today’s show has been significant; among the online commentators was The Blizzard’s Niall Breslin, who took to Twitter to say that the “psychological implications” of steroid use were also “horrifying”.

Another commented: “Instagram really pushing body image and steroids too. Gymbunny 17 year olds with no body fat and huge muscle mass.”

Anabolic steroid abuse has been associated with side effects including acne, loss of sex drive, and breast development in men. More serious issues include life threatening conditions such as heart attacks and liver cancer. Most are reversible if the abuser stops taking the drugs.

Earlier this year, anabolic steroids and prescription-only erectile dysfunction drugs were discovered by The Sunday Times on sale via the Irish website donedeal.ie.
