It seem that one of Hollywood’s most famous bachelors – George Clooney – is now off the market!
The lucky girl in question is his lawyer girlfriend Amal Alamuddin.
You kept that quiet George!
The pair – who were first linked in October – have been getting serious in recent months and stepped out together at a special screening of George’s movie Monuments Men at the White House in February.
The couple dined out in Nobu in Malibu on Thursday night and were joined by a couple of George’s pals Edward Norton and Cindy Crawford.
George’s 36-year-old beau, who is an adviser to former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, was apparently flashing her ring to supermodel Cindy and was heard chatting about the engagement all night.
Last month, the couple were snapped enjoying lots of PDA moments, including long walks on the beach in the Seychelles before jetting off to Tanzania on safari.
We’re not jealous at all…sob!
As double dates go this looks like an interesting one. George Clooney and his girlfriend Amal Alamuddin were spotted out with another famous couple: Emily Blunt and her husband John Kransinki.
Who knew that these were four were great friends but it seems to be the case, as the two couples were seen grabbing dinner together at a Sushi bar in California.
The double date seemed to have been a success anyway, as Amal was seen joking with Emily and John outside the restaurant.
Talking to reporters at the London premiere of Monuments Men, George Clooney said it was really hard to get Matt Damon to the set because he “drinks a lot”.
George is not usually one to be mean about his friends but he went on to add that the 43-year-old was the most difficult to work with on a daily basis.
He said: “It is hard to get him out of the trailer sometimes. I don’t like to use the word ‘diva’ or throw that around, but you know what I am saying.”
Now before you get all stroppy and defensive about the poor Matt, George was actually only joking – he really is a big kid at heart and he is well known for his prankster ways.
When he was filming Ocean’s Twelve with Brad Pitt, the 52-year-old stuck bumper stickers on Brad’s car.
One sticker said “Small Penis on Board” and according to Matt Damon: “People were honking at him and waving and he thinks it’s because he’s Brad Pitt and he’s waving back”.
The three celebs sound like they have the best fun ever.
We have some bad news for George Clooney fans – the lovable actor has said “No” to Twitter.
Twitter-stalking celebrities is just as popular as Facebook-stalking your social circle, but unfortunately, we won’t be able to add the silver fox to our list of stalkees anytime soon.
Talking to Variety, the Monuments Men star said he wouldn’t have a Twitter account for fear of saying “something stupid” after a couple of drinks. He added: “I also don’t think you need to be that available.”
His revealed that his mates – Brad Pit and Matt Damon, no less – won’t be joining the social media site either.
The actor said: ”I don’t see Matt or Brad or myself wanting to get our thoughts out in a 140-character-thing at three in the morning. God forbid, you take a sleeping pill and wake up and the sentences don’t even make sense. What a horrible idea.”
Clooney has previously voiced his thoughts on the site, saying: “anyone who is famous is a moron if they’re on Twitter. It’s just stupid.”
Not sure the folks at Twitter will be pleased to hear this, George.
A new comedy-drama directed and co-written by Clooney, The Monuments Men is based on true events in history and a book called The Monuments Men: Allied Heroes, Nazi Thieves and the Greatest Treasure Hunt in History (that rolls off the tongue…) by Robert M. Edsel.
The movie also stars Bill Murray and John Goodman, so it sounds like it’s going to be one to watch.
A known prankster on movie sets, it seems that George was once pranked himself by none other than his good friend Brad Pitt.
Speaking on his Reddit account during an ‘ask me anything’ session, George revealed that when they were shooting for Oceans 12 in his hometown of Lake Como, Brad spread rumours that George didn’t like to be looked in they eyes and only wished to be known by his character’s name, Danny Ocean.
As these things go, the rumour ended up in the local newspaper which branded Clooney “Il Divo” and said that he was mistreating the movie crew.
When George saw Brad with the paper, he told him, “You’re mine from here on out,” to which Brad responded with feigned worry and said, “Please don’t harm my children”.
George finished by saying that Brad has done some “pretty rotten things”. What we wouldn’t give to see these two on set!
