Following news of Southern states in America passing a string of regressive abortion bans, numerous studios have spoken out about the idea of boycotting the state's film industry by refusing to film there.

Disney, Netflix, WarnerMedia and more are rumoured to be contemplating a ban on filming in states like Georgia, Alabama and Louisiana, and now Derry Girls creator Lisa McGee has added her opinion to the fray.

Speculation has emerged over the possibility of extending the boycott to Northern Ireland, which has some of the most strict reproductive healthcare laws in the world.

Famously, Northern Ireland has been used as a filming location for shows like Game of Thrones, and recently Derry Girls on Channel 4.

Abortion in the North is illegal in basically all circumstances, with no exceptions for cases of rape, incest or fatal foetal abnormalities.

A danger to the mother's life is an exception which is difficult to toe the line for, and practitioners as well as receivers of abortions face life in prison.

The creator of the hit comedy show, Lisa McGee, has given her opinion on the notion of a filming ban in the North.

"I’ve been asked to comment on this issue so I will do it here," McGee wrote on Twitter.

"While I completely agree that abortion law in Northern Ireland is horrific and a breach of human rights, and that the British government must intervene and take immediate action."

"To bring it into line with the rest of the UK, I don’t feel a boycott of our film and television industry is the answer," she continued.

"The Northern Irish film and tv industry has been a light in the darkness. In a country where there is already little opportunity for young people it would only deprive them further.

"The fact that ultimately young Northern Irish women would suffer is depressing," she finished.

Nicola Coughlan, who plays Claire on Derry Girls, agreed with McGee's statements, She responded on Twitter by saying "Seconded."

What are your thoughts on the matter, do you agree with McGee?

Rapper 21 Savage has opened up for the first time about his arrest by immigration authorities, saying that he "was definitely targeted."

The breakout star, whose real name is She’yaa Bin Abraham Joseph, was arrested by the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on February 4 2019 after they said he was a UK citizen "unlawfully present" in America.

The Rockstar rapper still faces deportation, but was released on bond on Tuesday after over a week in jail, and sat down with ABC's Good Morning America to get candid about the ordeal.

Reporter Linsey Davis spoke to the 26-year-old about the arrest, saying "‘I don’t know. I was just driving and I just saw guns and blue lights. And, then, I was in the back of a car. And I was gone."

He elaborated on ICE's actions; "They didn’t — they didn’t say nothing. They just said, “We got Savage”. It was definitely targeted." He also mentioned that there was a "helicopter" circling overhead during his arrest.

21 Savage's legal team said in a statement:

"For the past 9 long days, on behalf of She’yaa Bin Abraham Joseph, known to the world as 21 Savage, have been speaking with ICE to both clarify his legal standing, his eligibility for bond, and provide evidence of his extraordinary contributions to his community and society."

The statement concluded, "Today, 21 Savage was granted a release on bond. He won his freedom."

He was seen boarding a private jet with his mother Heather soon after he was let go from ICE custody. He jetted back to his home in Atlanta, Georgia, but now awaits a hearing regarding his possible deportation.

ICE's accusation that Abraham-Joseph is a British citizen came as a shock to the artist's fans, as he is clearly associated with Atlanta's music scene.

He previously has said the "21" in his name is a reference to a street gang in Decatur, and his songs often refer to his past in East Atlanta's Zone 6. ICE allege that he has overstayed his Visa by a decade.

Beyoncé's father and former manager of Destiny's Child, Mathew Knowles, is claiming that he did everything possible to protect the girlband from R Kelly.

After hearing "some of those things" about the notorious sexual predator, he deliberately kept Destiny's Child away from him for their safety.

He also admits that hearing about Kelly's horrendous reputation for sexual, mental and physical abuse played a role in stopping the R&B band from collaborating with him.

A criminal investigation into dozens of allegations against R Kelly is now underway in Chicago and Atlanta following the Lifetime documentary Surviving R Kelly.

The Ignition singer, real name Robert Kelly, is accused of holding numerous women in a dangerous 'sex cult' in his homes, as well as having abusive, sexual relationships with underage girls as young as 12. He strongly denies this.

Rumours of his behaviour have been rampant since the early 1990s, after he forged singer Aaliyah's documents to allow her to marry him aged just 15, while he was 27.

Knowles claims that he originally turned down offers for Destiny's Child to collaborate with Kelly at first because he "didn't think it was a good song", according to Metro.

The 67-year-old, who is the father of Beyoncé and Solange, commented that he never let the band members out of his sight;

"I was there, and my former wife Tina was there. The thing with R Kelly was, he liked to record late at night, around midnight. And what was different with his studio was that one room had a recording suite, and next door was a club, with 40 or 50 people dancing."

He continued; "R Kelly was managed by Sony, by someone I won’t name, and at that time, they would almost force you to record with their artists. R Kelly wasn’t cheap – it was $75,000, plus travel costs, so we’re talking $100,000 for a song."

He added that Kelly's negative reputation was in it's early stages, "I personally rejected the song, because I didn’t think it was a good song. Not just because of his reputation – this was around 1998, we had just begun to hear some of those things."

Mathew later said that the rumours surrounding Kelly's deplorable behaviour played a part in his choices for the girlband from then on, he said;

"Certainly, it was both of those things. The girls were 15, 16. When they went to the bathroom, Tina would go with them. They did not leave our eyes." They were allegedly under strict supervision, and were protected from him.

Another source for Metro claims that;

"Record labels would ask R Kelly to write songs for emerging artists as a way to help them break into the industry and he made several requests for Destiny’s Child," the source suggests.

"Mathew and Tina rejected all of them because they didn’t want him anywhere near the band which is why they are one of the few acts to debut in the 90s without an R Kelly song in its official discography," they added.

Only one Destiny's Child song is associated with R Kelly, Stimulate Me, which appeared on the soundtrack for Eddie Murphy's film Life in 1999.

Apparently Kelly did not work in the studio at the same time as the group, and the song never actually appeared as an official Destiny's Child release, so the gals are off the hook.

We're glad Mathew Knowles had the ability to keep the group protected from him, sadly other women weren't as fortunate.

One of the most talked about plots of this season of Love Island HAS to be that double kiss between Georgia and Jack.

From her denial to the overuse of the term 'loyal,' the kiss has divided opinion online.

However, footage from the show has come to light which highlights that the kiss we say Georgia and Jack sharing may not have been the original smooch.

A post shared by Georgia Steel (@geesteelx) on

Facebook Page The Holy Church of Love Island posted a video in which the kiss can be seen from different angles – but other details suggest that there could have been more than one.

In the first angle, Wes and Megan are kissing while Georgia and Jack are preparing to leave the table.

In the second angle, Georgia and Jack are kissing while Megan and Wes are still getting up to leave. Neither of the clips match up with each other, so it appears that the end-of-date kiss may have been filmed more than once.

A Love Island spokesperson previously told The Tab that: 'It is absolutely untrue to suggest Love Island is fake.'

'The opinions they have and the relationships formed are completely within the control of the Islanders themselves.'

'As we have said since series one, Love Island is a combination of reality and produced elements. Any produced elements are designed to allow viewers to understand what the Islanders are feeling and to help move narrative threads on.'

So if there was more than one take, it doesn't necessarily mean that nay aspect of the exchange was staged – if Jack and Georgia kissed and the cameras missed it, they may have been asked to do it again.

In that case, the kiss still happened as we saw it, and the drama surrounding it still would have occurred.

If Love Island didn't get juicy enough last night with four contestants waving bye-bye – by the sounds of it tonight is even better.

As we bid farewell to Adam, Darylle, Alex and Ellie, we gear up for an explosive row between Ellie and Georgia.

In last night's teaser, we saw them at odds with each other – however, we didn't expect this.

Today The Mirror reports that the women, who haven't really interacted much, had to be SEPARATED after their bust-up.

To be honest, we were surprised they were fighting at all, but now we are dying to know why.

The short clip at the end of last night's show sees the pair shouting at each other before Georgia tells Ellie to "f*cking pipe down" and storms off , while Ellie follows her.

If that isn't enough, Love Island has given us a sneak peak of tonight's drama and the villa is on meltdown.

Supposedly, Laura has found out about Georgia's cheeky kiss. UGH OH.

So perhaps that is the reason why the two are feuding.

We don't know, but we won't be missing tonight's episode!
