The world of fashion can be a minefield. 

The trends change every season, models are popping up left, right and centre and then there's designers names. 

While Burberry might slip easily off the tongue, there's a whole world of designers names we can't even attempt to pronounce. 

So, if you need to fake it in fashion, here's a little lesson of some labels not-so phonetic names.

Despite massive speculation surrounding her marriage of late, Julia Roberts was all smiles as she made an appearance a the Givenchy show in NYC last week.

The 47-year old was chosen by Ricardo Tisci as the new face of the brand and was named a "generational icon of beauty and elegance. 

Wearing an all black outfit with a natural make-up look, she joined guests Kim and Kanye West at the big bash. While Julia was busy rubbing shoulders with other A-Listers she seemed pretty content.

However, media outlets were reporting that while she was away in NYC, back home in California things were not going so well. 

RadarOnline reports that various moving vans were spotted outside her Malibu home which has added further fuel to rumours that the actress and her husbnad Daniel Moder are headed for divorce. 

Since last year rumours have been floating that the duo were splitting up. However just last month the couple, and their three children Hazel, Henry and Phinnaeus seemed happy as could be as they were spotted with pro surfer Kelly Slater.

However, TMZ has reported since last year their marriage was in trouble. According to a source "there are a lot of issues with money."

The insider explained that "Julia said she doled out millions of dollars in mortgage paymenrs for [Moder's father]. She helped him out for at least five years, and she got tired of footing the bill."

In February of this year it was also reported that Daniel did not attend the funeral of Julia's mother when she sadly passed away.

Back in 2013 while expecting North, she was often criticised for wearing 'pregnancy inappropriate' clothing.

But now, and just three months away from giving birth to her second child, Kim Kardashian's attire has regularly won widespread praise.  

And certainly, the 34-year-old hasn't been afraid to push the fashion boat out with a series of daring looks.

Today in New York, she kept the style stakes sky-high with a black leather wrap-around skirt teamed with a ripped beige t-shirt.

She also draped over her shoulders a stunning, full-length Balmain coat with oversized gold button detail, completing her look with over-the-knee black boots.

The reality TV star and her rapper husband Kanye West, 38, also wowed in Givenchy last night – with Ms Kardashian in particular looking stunning in a black lace number which complemented her baby bump.

Kim is due to give birth to the couple's second child – a boy – in December and evidently has been enjoying a healthy and happy pregnancy so far.

We thought Kendall might have missed out on Fashion Week this year as days went by with no sign of the model strutting her stuff down the runway.

But alas, the 19-year-old, stepped out onto one of the busiest catwalks this week, Givenchy.

Is it just us or did every notable fashion moment happen at the Givenchy show this week?!

Anyway, Ms Jenner arrived at Pier 96 to make her first appearance of the week… with no eyebrows?

The model wore a white sleeveless lace top, cinched in at the waist, along with flowing black trousers. Trés chic!

All models sported a futuristic look at the fashion show, pairing sleek middle parts with slick hair and invisible eyebrows – an impressive make up magic trick.

After the show, Kendall celebrated with sister Kim and BFF Hailey Baldwin.

She even caught up with rock star Steve Tyler and posted the photo on Instagram.

All we want to know is which fashion show will she next turn up to?

Uh-oh, this doesn't look too good…

It was probably one of the most star-studded fashion shows of the week but model Candice Swanepoel took quite a tumble during her walk for Givenchy.

Dressed in a black, semi-sheer midi dress and stiletto red and black fringed ankle boots, the 26-year-old South African Victoria's Secret Angel, who appears in Givenchy's new autumn campaigns, tripped and almost fell flat on her face. 

Security men helped her up and she continued walking the catwalk while trying to adjust her outfit.

Candice later took to Instagram to thank the people who helped her. She also showed us a gross picture of the cuts and bruises she endured because of the fall.

"Thank you to who ever picked me up off the runway tonight," she wrote. "Left with little scratches but mostly a bruised ego. #ohwell."

As Carrie Bradshaw put it, "every year the women of New York leave the past behind and look forward to the future… this is known as Fashion Week."

And Carrie couldn't be more right.

Men and women alike flock to the city to see the fashion shows, the new trends and of course, the style disasters.

And while it may be the biggest event of the year for most people, it's just another day for celebrities.

Never one to miss the chance of donning the finest pieces her wardrobe has to offer, Kim Kardashian stepped out at New York Fashion Week with husband Kanye West.

The reality star took some of the constant attention away from her growing baby bum as she wore a beige high-waisted peplum top with a skirt by Givenchy. The beige outfit left plenty of Kim’s leg on show, and also, her toes.

Interestingly it seems that it was her footwear that Kim seemed most concerned about. The reality TV star took to social media to share some details of her outfit and Kanye fans got excited.

 

SNEAK PEEK- YEEZY SEASON2

The peep toe thigh high boots appeared on her Instagram just hours later with the caption: “SNEAK PEEK – YEEZY SEASON 2”.

Kim does seem to have a thing about peep toes recently. Earlier this week while out about with daughter North she paired a brown pair with a body con mustard dress. North wore some badass looking biker boots, FYI.

While her ensemble certainly looks Kanye inspired, there has been no actual confirmation that he’s going to be branching out from high-end trainers just yet.

What has been announced recently however was the full price list for Kanye’s Yeezy line with Adidas. Complex referred to them as “mind-bogglingly large” and we are inclined to agree.

Apparently he has tried with season 1 to make his prices more accessible, and maybe some fans will be content, but we’re struggling to justify almost €400 for a long-sleeved t-shirt.

While none of us can deny the importance of a good winter coat, shelling out €2700 for one with Kanye’s name on the label might be pushing it.

Oh the Kardashian-Jenner-West-Disick clan, we can barely keep up with them all. If someone’s not getting married, they’re headlining Glastonbury. If they’re not having a baby, then they’re getting into some risky business outside a night club.

And when they’re not taking selfies… Well, we don’t know actually know what happens then.

 

One thing we do know, when they post a selfie online, people go crazy.

Case in point, Kendall Jenner just smashed her big sister Kim’s record for ‘most liked’ photo on her Instagram page.

The 19-year old posted the photo a month ago and it has since gathered 2.5 million likes. Compared to Kim and Kanye’s wedding photograph which only had a measly 2.4 million.

 

Nothing like a little sibling rivalry, eh?

It’s not just Instagram that Kendall is gathered more and more fame. Most recently the reality TV star turned supermodel was hanging out with legend Naomi Campbell.

Both models walked the runway for Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci at his Paris show. Kendall hit the runway in a pale ink lingerie-inspired gown with a skirt consisting of tassels, and not a whole lot else.

Naomi turned heads so hard the people in the FRO got whiplash when she slipped into a tiny G-string bikini and blazer.

Proud mama Kris Jenner and beau Corey Gamble were spotted at the show, along with Courtney Love.

It’s not all work and no play for Kenny J though. She managed to get herself to not one but two of the biggest music events happening last night.

She made an onstage appearance with a host of other famous model friends at pal Taylor Swift’s gig before she and Cara popped over to Glastonbury to see Kanye West headline.

Record shattering, modelling and rock concert performing, all in a weekend’s work for the young model.

We’re exhausted just thinking about it.

Givenchy are bringing out a limited edition Le Rouge lipstick, which will be encased in crocodile leather, and it’ll cost you $300!

The classic red shade is called Le Rouge shade 306, Carmin Escarpin, and apparently they’re only producing 3,000 of these super expensive lipsticks, which is just as well because we can’t imagine too many people will be forking out a month’s rent for a bit of lippy.

We wonder though, if it’s that expensive, will it stay on all night? Could this be ‘the one’?

Still, even if it stayed on for a week, we don’t know if we could justify such a big spend on something so small.

We might give Louboutin’s $50 nail polish a go though, if we found some cash lying around (as unlikely as that may be). We can kind of see the connection between Louboutin and nail polish too, as when he first started making shoes, he would paint the bottom of them in red polish, so at least there you’re getting an interesting fact as well as a pretty nails!

We think it’s safe to say, we won’t be one of the 3,000 sporting Carmin Escarpin lips this autumn!

The famous Jenner sisters are at it again – this time they’re posing with a horse in the middle of a desert for their new PacSun collection.

This will be Kylie and Kendall’s fifth campaign with the American brand. The girls have reportedly designed 16 pieces for the new line and had no problem showing off the new collection with some dramatic poses.

The sisters new collection will be focusing on casual summer chic and will be officially launched stateside today.

Kendall is already making waves in the fashion world, having already modelled in Paris for Givenchy and recently, been photographed as the new cover girl for Love magazine.

Givenchy have just released its first advert for its Autumn/Winter campaign which of course features reality star and model, Kendall Jenner.

In the ad, Kendall, along with some other models, is seen dancing in the designer brand’s latest line.

Jenner is also wearing the same pleated gown that she wore in the Givenchy show way back at Paris Fashion Week for the advert.

She’s definitely been getting lots of attention lately from her topless photo shoot to her thigh baring gowns, so it’s no wonder that Kendall Jenner has been signed up as the new face of the Givenchy Fall 2014 campaign.

Givenchy designer, Riccardo Tisci is a friend of the Kardashians, and not to mention the designer of Kim’s wedding dress, so perhaps he pulled a few strings for her younger sister.

Her fashion CV is getting more impressive every day!
