A cornerstone of Donald Trump's campaign (and one of his most controversial promises) was his commitment to build a barrier between the United States and Mexico as an attempt to deter illegal immigration.

No concrete plans have been made by the administration to create the wall, and so right-wing activists have taken upon themselves to begin funding the project.

A Go Fund Me Page was set up on December 16th, called We The People Will Fund The Wall, which has already raised almost 11 million dollars.

The online fundraiser was created by Brian Kolfage, a MAGA supporter and Iraqi war veteran, who is a triple amputee following his years of service.

'Like a majority of those American citizens who voted to elect President Donald J Trump, we voted for him to Make America Great Again,' Kolfage writes in the fundraiser description.

'President Trump’s main campaign promise was to BUILD THE WALL. And as he’s followed through on just about every promise so far, this wall project needs to be completed still.'

'As a veteran who has given so much, 3 limbs, I feel deeply invested to this nation to ensure future generations have everything we have today.'

'Too many Americans have been murdered by illegal aliens and too many illegals are taking advantage of  the United States taxpayers with no means of ever contributing to our society.'

One donator contributed a whopping fifty thousand dollars to the campaign.

'If the 63 million people who voted for Trump each pledge $80, we can build the wall,' Kolfage continued.

'That equates to roughly 5 Billion Dollars, even if we get half, that's half the wall. We can do this.'

The fundraising details claim that the Government is able to accept donations from private funds for projects such as this.

The hashtag #GoFundTheWall is gaining traction on Twitter.
