In a clip uploaded to Twitter, Jameela pulls up her pink Monique Lhuillier dress to reveal the life hack.

Although this is the first time the actress has attended the Golden Globes, she knew the weather wouldn't be kind.

She captioned the video: "An experienced woman wears jeans under her golden globes gown because it’s forking COLD."

Fans absolutely loved the move and praised her on social media.

"Just when I thought I couldn't love you any forking more," commented one.

"And that’s why you’re a legend," added another.

We have to say, we will be nicking this life hack – but we'd be more inclined to go for a PJ type style with an elastic waist for maximum comfort.

The absolute legend smuggled in 30 sandwiches into the award ceremony and began handing them out.

Celebs got to satisfy their hunger pangs with a good old traditional ham and cheese combo.

Confirming the smuggling of the food items, Melissa told Variety: “I’ve been handing them out to everyone."

And for 2020, Melissa is planning to go bigger: “Next year, I’m bringing hot dogs,” she added – Brilliant.

The food seemed to go down a treat as Olivia Colman even referenced them in her acceptance speech.

Actress Jessica Chastain asked the question everyone wanted to know: "How did she get them in here?” she wondered.

“But it’s a good idea because by the time you get into the ballroom dinner has already been served, and you’re always so hungry,” she added.

Did Melissa tape them to her body? Have a hidden picnic basket smuggled in? – We may never find out. 

However, the actress didn't opt for cheap and cheerful sandwiches, as the pic of the item given to Variety shows that it was from Joan's on Third.

The “fromager d’affinois and apricot glazed ham” sandwich will set you back 7.95 US dollars (£6.24/€6.95) a piece – so she's a true friend.

First of all, Sandra Oh is a NATIONAL TREASURE who must be protected at all costs.

The Killing Eve protagonist is the first actress of Asian descent in a shocking 39 years to win the Golden Globe for best leading TV actress. That's not where history-making ended for the co-host of the awards.

To be exact, Oh broke THREE records last night, and also succeeded in making everyone cry during her opening monologue.

She was the FIRST person of Asian descent to be asked to host the awards ceremony, with the gig normally going to a white male, except for Tina Fey and Amy Poehler's iconic three-year-run from 2013 until 2015.

Hilarious Brooklyn 99 and Saturday Night Live alum Andy Samberg co-hosted the Globes alongside Oh, with the actress declaring during their opening speech that;

 “I said yes to the fear of being on this stage tonight because I wanted to be here to look out into this audience and witness this moment of change.” OKAY NOW WE'RE IN TEARS.

She witnessed that outstanding moment of change later on, when she won Best Actress in a TV Drama for the BBC America fixture Killing Eve, making her the first woman of Asian descent to win more than one Globe.

She won her first award in 2006 for her ground-breaking run as badass heart surgeon Cristina Yang on Grey's Anatomy. BUT SHE WASN'T DONE.

Sandra became the first woman of Asian descent in 39 years to win best actress in a TV drama, with the last actress (Yoko Shimada) winning in 1980. Thank the Gods, Oh will return to Killing Eve for season two on April 7.

The 76th Annual Golden Globes awards was a ceremony of laughs, drama (what else) and celeb moments, and we made the ultimate list of winners and snubs.

Freddie Mercury (semi) biopic Bohemian Rhapsody quite surprisingly took home the coveted Best Picture gong, with Rami Malek also winning Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture for the Drama category. 

Nicole Kidman later ignored him onstage in what was possibly the most awkward moment of anyone's lives ever. Literally.

Musical A Star Is Born received by far the most snubs of the evening, only winning the Best Song category for Shallow after being nominated for five awards overall. BUT GAGA?!? SHE A STAR.

Glen Close took home the Best Actress Globe for The Wife, beating Lady Gaga for the achievement. Bodyguard actor Richard Madden was given the Best Actor award for his BBC role about the Home Secretary's security agent.

He also broke our hearts by saying that all the talk of him playing James Bond were mere "rumours." PLEASE make it happen honey. Please.

Political biopic Vice, which chronicles the later life of  American Vice President Dick Cheney, shocked the audience by losing the Best Picture – Musical or Comedy award to Green Book.

The award for Best Supporting Actor was given to Green Book actor Mahershala Ali; the film also took home the Best Screenplay gong. Christian Bale's award was Vice's only win of the night, despite six nominations.

Hilariously, a girl who was serving Fiji water the entire night has become the internet's new meme, for the purpose of living her best life;

Olivia Colman deservedly won Best Actress – Musical or Comedy for her black comedy performance in The Favourite, which also lost out on five awards. 

Roma predictably won Best Foreign Film, which was a popular choice, as well as its director Alfonso Cuarón being honoured with Best Director. 

Lady Gaga's dress arguably was the highlight of the show, aside from the goddess that is Sandra Oh, of course. No, we're not finished talking about her. REPRESENTATION MATTERS, PEOPLE.

Her hair matches her dress, and it looks God Damn Stunning. We're shooketh.

People were NOT happy that Gaga lost the Best Actress award to Glen Close, but they were doubly annoyed that Mark Ronson arguably stole her thunder during their acceptance speech for the Best Song award.

Despite co-writing Shallow with Gaga and two others, Ronson did nearly all of the speaking while accepting the award.

Of course, there were cringey moments galore. The first one came on the red carpet when E! News presenter Giuliana Rancic basically made major flops while interviewing Debra Messing.

Next came when the hosts tried to give everyone in the audience flu shots, and NOBODY wanted needles on camera. Nobody. Especially not Willem Dafoe.

Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh's opening monologue was a tad cheesy, but they had to navigate a minefield of not insulting anyone there or making any mistakes about diversity.

Seeing as Kevin Hart's Oscars hosting gig is in the toilet following the revelation of old homophobic tweets, the duo kindly offered to take his place.

Glen Close's face when she beat Lady Gaga was also a big LOL, considering she clearly was just as shocked herself that she beat the ENIGMA Mother Monster.

A highlight of the night was when current James Bond Daniel Craig took a selfie with Idris Elba, a rumoured contender to take his place.

We swooned, they swooned; in conclusion, everyone swooned.

Ben Whishaw scooped up a Best Supporting Actor award for shouted out a tribute to 'queer hero' Norman Scott in his acceptance speech.

The British actor won for his portrayal of Scott in BBC drama A Very English Scandal during the glittering occasion, and he is just adorable. SO pure. Protect him.

Another surprise came in the Best Animated Film category, when Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse beat The Incredibles 2 for the desired award. 

That's the ultimate round-up, folks.

There was glamour, there was snubbing, and there was cringe personified. We can't wait for next year already…

It was the unexpected talking point of the evening: armpit hair. 

In 2017, Lola Kirke rocked up to the red carpet with unshaven pits. 

Surprisingly, it was one of the "major" events of the night.

The 27-year-old actress accessorised her gorgeous strapless gown with simple jewellery, and unshaven underarms, and people really noticed.

The question is, why on earth was this front page news?

Let's face facts: women have armpit hair (shocking, I know), and if they want to share it with the world… who are we to judge?

In short, if a woman chooses not to shave her armpits… why do we care?

We have been led to believe that in order to be considered beautiful, a woman must be pristine and totally hair free (legs, armpits and everything inbetween). 

Well, I am here to tell you that that is not, and SHOULD NOT, be the case. 

Let us rewind, say 50 years or so ago, to a time where the beautiful Sophia Loren was one of the most exceptional models in the world. 

Sophia was glamorous, beautiful and successful… and had lovely fluffy armpits. 

Nobody cared back then, and nobody should care now.

My point here is that beauty comes in many different forms, and the pressure to look a certain way has started taking away from this fact.

I personally choose to shave my armpits (incase anyone was wondering), and that is fine, but this whole thing has me really wondering why. 

I shave my armpits because I have been led to believe that this will make me more beautiful… sad but true.

Lola Kirke's "no f**ks given" approach to the Golden Globes red carpet is something to be respected, as it reminds us that not everyone has to look perfectly polished all the time.

There are certain beauty demands that females are expected to adhere to, and that just is not fair. 

Ladies, grow your hair or don't… either way you are, and always will be, truly beautiful.

Saoirse Ronan is among the actresses who have pledged to donate their all-black gowns worn at this year's Golden Globes ceremony to a charity auction in aid of Time's Up.

The campaign, which was established by some of Hollywood's most influential female stars to help those that have suffered sexual abuse or harassment in the workplace, has teamed up with Condé Nast and eBay for the fundraising initiative.

Dresses worn by Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Meryl Streep and Emma Watson, as well as tuxedos worn by Hugh Jackman, Jude Law and Neil Patrick Harris are all expected to go under the hammer.

The auction follows the Golden Globes red carpet 'blackout' – a movement which saw stars sport all-black ensembles in a show of solidarity with the Time's Up campaign and the victims of the recent sexual harassment allegations.

Speaking about the auction, Anna Wintour, artistic director of Condé Nast and editor-in-chief of Vogue magazine said: "At Condé Nast, we've always believed in the importance of swift action to support meaningful social change."

"Through this auction powered by eBay, and harnessing the compelling pull of both fashion and activism, we're hopeful that the black dresses worn at this year's historic Golden Globe Awards will raise funds for the Time's Up initiative, and serve to support the stories and voices of those who have been victims of sexual misconduct."

Over the weekend, we were enthralled by the series of elegant black gowns which bestowed the Golden Globe's red carpet with their glory.

The dresses were stunning but sombre, representing a stance of solidarity with the women who have been sexually harassed and assaulted in Hollywood. 

Only a few women didn't get the all-black memo, one of which was German model Barbara Meier.

The model was criticised for her choice to wear a multi-hued gown, in shades of pink, purple, blue and white. 

Taking to Instagram, the model explained in both German and English why she opted for the embellished, feathered gown despite knowing about the Time's Up campaign. 

'We were fighting a long time for the freedom to wear what we want to and that it is also ok, to dress up a little more sexy,' she posted.

'We should not have to wear black to be taken serious. Us women should shine, be colourful and sparkle. Just like it is our nature.'

While an explanation was welcomed, many felt that the model missed the point of the all-black dress code.

'So everybody rocked the black clothes at the Globes yesterday except Barbara Meier. When fashion is more important than equality! Well done,' said one Twitter user.

Nicole Kidman took home the award for Best Actress in a Limited Series at this year's Golden Globes, but a notable omission from her acceptance speech left viewers baffled.

The 50-year-old mother of four sparked outrage across social media when she failed to acknowledge her eldest children children, Connor and Isabella, who she adopted with ex-husband Tom Cruise.

Instead, the star referred only to her youngest daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, who she shares with country music star Keith Urban, saying: “First cab off the rank, that means my daughters are still awake so Sunny, Faith, I love you. I’m bringing this home to you babies.”

This not the first time Nicole has failed to reference her children in an acceptance speech, and viewers were quick the criticise the star's repeated refusal to mention them.

However, despite the harsh criticism, it seems that there were no malicious intentions behind the snub. 

Isabella, 25, and Connor, 22, are both practising Scientologists and it's highly likely that Nicole's speculation of the religion has created a divide between her and her children. 

It is often the case that those who choose to leave the church get cut off from their families through no fault of their own. 

Though the star rarely speaks about the religion and the affect it had on her life, she briefly touched on the subject during an interview with Vogue in 2015.

"I've chosen not to speak publicly about Scientology," she told Vogue in 2015.

"I have two children who are Scientologists – Connor and Isabella – and I utterly respect their beliefs."

Nicole has not been pictured with her eldest children in over 10 years and it is unclear whether or not the family is still on speaking terms.

Chrissie Teigen has never made any secret of her disdain for the Trump family, and after nine years vocalising it, the Lip Sync Battle star was eventually blocked by Donald Trump on Twitter in July of last year.

‘LOL, no one likes you’ was her admittedly juvenile response to yet another ‘fake news’ rant by the POTUS,  but it was clearly the straw that broke the camel’s back.

And whether Chrissie hopes to elicit a similar response from his daughter Ivanka or not, she’s going the right away about if a recent tweet is anything to go by.

Contributing to the current narrative surrounding Oprah’s inspirational speech at Sunday night’s Golden Globes, Ivanka praised the veteran broadcaster and encouraged her followers to unite against sexism and harassment.

Given both her father’s reputation with regards the issue and her own dogged defence of his conduct, it’s hardly surprising many Twitter users felt somewhat irritated by Ivanka’s contribution, and this included Chrissie.

Responding to Ivanka’s tweek, Chrissie opted for another playground retort, writing: “Ew, Go away.”

The tweet has garnered a mixed response today, with some Twitter users questioning her disdain and others praising her stance.

“Further proof that liberals only support women that have their same political views. All other women be damned,” wrote one.

“Look at all these chumpettes trying to get angry at you, hilarious! You say ewww but their role model says grab their p******! And the girl you are being "mean" to doesn't support his accusers & has not helped women get equal pay. Keep going Chrissy!” wrote another in contrast.

She honoured the Times Up campaign by wearing a stunning black dress to last night’s Golden Globes, but there was something extra special about Emma Stone’s makeup look from the award ceremony.

The Oscar winner’s makeup artist shared a stunning photo of her makeup look with her Instagram followers, captioned, “This woman’s strength and beauty truly know no bounds. #emmastone heading to the #goldenglobes red carpet tonight. Emerald green eyes and violet stained lips.”

The Battle of the Sexes star wore violet lipstick and emerald green eyeshadow for the most empowering reason. Her makeup artist Rachel Goodwin revealed that Emma’s look was inspired by the Suffragette movement.

She shared, “Tonight my beauty inspiration came from the symbolic colours of the women’s suffrage movement. I wanted to create a makeup that would somehow be imbued with the message of female empowerment and solidarity.”

The makeup artist explained that Emma wore purple as it symbolises the royal blood that flows through the veins of every Suffragette.

She added that purple stood for their, “instinct for freedom and dignity, white stands for purity in private and public life.”

The La La Land star rocked the most stunning green eye-shadow which symbolised hope, which was one of the main themes of last night’s event.

Alongside Emma, hundreds of Hollywood stars hoped to raise awareness by wearing black on the Golden Globes red carpet.

Nicole Kidman, Viola Davis, Chris Hemsworth, Emilia Clarke, Reese Witherspoon, Zac Efron, the cast of Stranger Things all wore black in honour of the Times Up campaign.

Harry Potter fans could hardly contain their excitement during last night's Golden Globes ceremony, after two of the series' best-loved characters reunited on stage.

Emma Watson and Robert Pattison caused a bit of frenzy when they teamed up to present the Best Television Limited Series to the winner Big Little Lies, some 13 years after appeared on screen together.

For those of you unfamiliar with the pairing, cast your minds back to 2005 when the actors starred as Hermione Granger and Cedric Diggory in fourth film in the magical franchise, Harry Potter an the Goblet of Fire. 

It was Robert's first big movie role and was no doubt the launching pad for a successful career that saw him go on to star as Edward Cullen in the Twilght saga and a host of independent films such as Remember Me and Water for Elephants. 

Needless to say, the mini reunion sent Harry Potter fans into overdrive with many hoping that the duo would be joined by Gary Oldman who played Sirius Black in the series.

It was a successful night for the Irish at the Golden Globes Film and Television Awards, with Saorise Ronan and Martin McDonagh both celebrating incredible wins.

Saoirse, who was nominated on two previous occasions, took home the award for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy for her performance in the critically acclaimed coming-of-age story, Lady Bird.

Written and directed by the tremendously talented Greta Gerwig, Lady Bird also scooped the award for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy.

Accepting her award, Saorise made sure to give a shout out to her mother who was watching her daughter from Ireland via FaceTime.

"My mam is on FaceTime over there on someone’s phone right now, so hi," she began as she took to the stage. "I have no time at all to say thank you, but I just want to say how inspirational it’s been to be here in this room tonight. I’m here with my best friend Eileen,” she said in an emotional speech.

"All of the women who I love so much in my own life who support me every single day – my mother, who’s on FaceTime. Margot, all of my friends and family and actually everyone in this room."

Irish talent continued to dominate the stage with Martin McDonagh's Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, proving to be the biggest winner of the night.

Born to Irish parents in London, the writer/ director is no stranger to the red carpet, having previously won awards for his work on dark comedy In Bruges and live action short Six Shooter.

Nominated in six categories, Three Billboards won four titles including Best Motion Picture – Drama, Best Supporting Actor (Sam Rockwell), Best Screenplay – Motion Picture, and Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama (Frances McDormand).

Saoirse Ronan has confirmed that she will be one of many actresses donning and all black ensemble at the Golden Globe awards this weekend.

The women of Hollywood have pledged to wear the sombre shade in solidarity with their fellow actresses who have been the victims of sexual assault and harassment.

The star told Extra that fans will be seeing a sea of black on the usually colourful red carpet.

‘I’ve never felt so encouraged and inspired and supported to use whatever voice I have and for all of these people, men and women, to be able come together and use their influence and to open up the conversation and raise awareness and support anyone who's gone through, or anyone that has questioned their safety or their stance when they’re on set,’ she told Extra.

‘I think it’s invaluable and paramount that this happens now.’

The choice to wear black will highlight the fact that the recent outpouring of sexual abuse reports in Hollywood is neither acceptable nor to be tolerated.

'All female actresses attending the Globes are protesting by just wearing black gowns,' a source told PEOPLE previously.

We're looking forward to seeing all of the striking black gowns over the weekend.
