Here at SHEmazing HQ, it goes without saying that we are seriously against animal cruelty.

For this reason, we were delighted to hear that one of the most coveted designer brands was eradicating real fur from its collections.

Gucci, which has to be the most popular label of 2017, is ditching real fur for good.

Many of Gucci's most iconic looks, from the Princetown loafer to their selection of €38,000 mink coats, carry animal furs, so this is a change for the brand.

Going fur-free is part of Gucci's new commitment to become more sustainable and friendly to the earth.

'Together, by committing to a culture of purpose, taking responsibility and encouraging respect, inclusivity, and empowerment, we want to create the necessary conditions for a progressive approach to sustainability,' said President and CEO Marco Bizzarri.

'Being socially responsible is one of Gucci's core values, and we will continue to strive to do better for the environment and animals.'

Gucci intends to be totally fur-free in 2018.

Unless you have been living under a social media-proof rock these days, you may have noticed that Gucci is having a major moment.

From bee-embellished everything to the Dionysus and the Marmont, the designer label has never been more popular on the red carpet and Instagram alike.

Unfortunately, the high end look comes with a high end price tag, but Penneys is stepping in with some Gucci-esque pieces for a fraction of the luxury price.

Penneys knocked it out of the park with their gold link belt last season, which sold out across the country.

Now, the high street haven is back with a new version in time for A/W.

Much like the new season Gucci double G belt, this edition is studded with stunning pearls.

Penneys belt €4.00

However unlike the Gucci version, which costs over €1000 (seriously, for a belt) this one will give you change back from a fiver.

From sprucing up a ruffled dress to adding a touch of femininity to jeans and a t-shirt, this belt will be serving looks well into winter time.

Elbows at the ready, we'll see you in Penneys.

Festival season is upon us, and there is one essential we just can't live without, for the sake of both practicality and out festival OOTD.

Bum bags are extremely handy for festivals, and it seems the fashion world is catching on.

The likes of Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner have both been seen rocking designer fanny packs in recent weeks, but we've spotted one that has simply blown our minds.

GUCCI

The world of Instagram is currently obsessed with Gucci, and whether you're a fan of the double G belt or the Marmont bag, the trend is here to stay.

The Gucci Belt Bag is a stylised twist on the Marmont, and while it was available in leather this summer, the designer label has just dropped a velvet edition for the new season.

While we may not be able to casually order one online in time for Electric Picnic (mostly because of the €1000,00 price tag) we do love to lust after them on Insta.

Haven't spotted it on a blogger yet? Prepare to get acquainted with the Gucci bum bag:

We all love lusting over the hottest designer kicks on Instagram, but oftentimes the price tag makes the covetable shoes oh so unattainable.

Gucci has been having a major moment, and the high-end brand loves to adorn their famous sneakers with bumblebee embellishments in luxe fabrics.

Making their own spin on the designer look, Penneys are coming to the rescue and providing us with a similar look for a tiny fraction of the price.

Penneys €18.00

We were having a snoop around Penneys this week, and spotted these amazing Gucci-esque runners.

Decked out in a lush velvet finish, these bad boys are smattered with bumble bee embellishments.

They are even finished with sumptuous ribbons as laces, which make them look ten times their actual price.

SHEmazing Snapchat

For €18.00, you really cannot go wrong, but you better act fast.

The runners are Limited Edition, so once they're gone, they're gone.

At the Gucci cruise show last summer, we looked on in awe as celebrities and fashion's elite took a seat in an embellished boat, full of gold satin cushions and intricate tasselled table designs.

Instead of zoning in on the Scandi trends of minimalism, Gucci took it to another level completely, with overstated and flamboyant candles, chairs, plates, wallpaper, mugs and motifs.

In fact, one embroidered cushion took approximately ten hours to complete.

Well, from September, you will be able to buy the ornamented homewares collection… but it doesn't come cheap.

Prices start off at $190 (€170) for a scented candle, and go all the way up to $30,000 (€27,000) for a silk screen.

But everything is just so, so gorgeous:

Ego red embroidered loafers €28.82, Ego rose loafers €28.82, Ego snake embroidered loafers €34.59

Remember the noughties when everything was emblazoned with a giant designer logo?

From the Juicy slogan on the arse of your velour track suit bottoms, to the diamanté Chanel studs sparkling in your earlobes (which may or may not have been fake), the noughties were a time of decadence, and the little square UGG logo on the heel of your sheepskin boots was as important as the boots themselves.

Now, the newest nail art trend is paying homage to our teenage label obsession, as wearing a designer logo on your fingertips is the latest trend in the land of nail art.

While this trend may be best left to the celebs, they're damn pretty to look at, and give us major Paris Hilton circa 2007 vibes.

From Balenciaga to Gucci to Louis Vuitton, here are a few of our favourite out-there logo nails:

It seems that the fashion world's obsession with all things 90s is never ending.

The latest item to be resurrected from the sartorial graveyard might surprise you, and for any 90s kids,  it will definitely remind you of your secondary school days.

Platform school shoes were a staple for 90s teens, if you could get away with them, and they matched our chunky highlights and Backstreet Boys hoodie.

While we definitely envied our peers who were allowed don those platform, clunky heeled school shoes, there is no way our mams were letting us head off to school in any shoes higher than a sensible half inch.

This is why when we saw these platforms on Gucci's website, our inner teenager begged for them immediately.

The shoes themselves are a platform adaption of the classic Gucci loafer, but they are distinctly reminiscent of the clunky school platforms we needed in our lives in 1998, but with a majorly modern update.

A post shared by Zig Metzler (@ziggy_shoots) on

Unfortunately they are slightly out of our price range at €1,100.00. Just slightly…

Vintage shops are a hot bed of the original versions of the school shoes, so we know where we will be looking if they officially make a comeback.

Now, all we need is some roll-on body glitter and our old Spice Girls C.D…

We loved the gorgeous Gucci slippers which dominated the catwalk and Instagram all last year. But while we may have lusted over them in Brown Thomas, they are slightly out of our budget…

In the name of research, we scoured the internet to find an affordable dupe, and here's what we found.

These pretty slippers from Shein.com are exactly like the Gucci style, come in loads of designs and colours and, best of all, are priced between €30 and €35!

*frantically clicks 'add to cart'*

From the fur detail, the embroidery and the signature horse motif; they are exactly like Gucci!

Prepare for LOTS of compliments on your shoes…

The furry slippers are just under €35 (excluding delivery) and the fur-free style are €30.50. That won't break the bank balance!

These come in a variety of colours and patterns, perfect for your spring wardrobe!

It doesn't hurt that they are very Insta-friendly, also…

The site delivers to Ireland, but they are currently experiencing delivery issues and will resume deliveries on February 1. Perhaps there has been a rush on the dupes?!

Bear in mind; even normal deliveries will take some time, as their warehouses are in China.

But, if you are patient enough, you could be strutting round in Gucci dupes by spring…

Thank us later!

We'll be honest here, when it comes to slippers we're not overly fussy – as long as they fit us, keep us warm and have only minimal tea stains, we're pretty much good to go.

But by the looks of things, some people out there are fussy… very, very fussy, in fact.

And if Gucci's horsebit-detailed goat hair slippers are anything to go by, the folk behind the fashion heavy-hitters are only mad to cash in on some people's innate desire to walk around with Donald Trump's toupee on their feet.

Despite looking like something you might sweep into the corner in the local salon, these hairy lads will set you back – wait for it – a cool €1,500.

And the most incredible bit? They're currently sold out.

Discussion surrounding body image is never far from the headlines, with the fashion industry regularly coming in for intense criticism for promoting unhealthy ideals.

Latest in the firing line is Italian heavy-hitter, Gucci, who have been banned from featuring an image of an "unhealthily thin" model in a recent campaign.

According to The Independent, the Advertising Standards Authority has taken issue with an advertisement which appeared on The Times’ website.

Featuring models wearing items from the Gucci cruise collection, the ASA argued that two of the women shown in the original commercial looked "out of proportion".

Commenting on their decision, the ASA argued that the pose struck by one the models "elongated her torso and accentuated her waist so that it appeared to be very small."

They also took issue with that particular model's make-up, stating: "Her sombre facial expression and dark make-up, particularly around the eyes, made her face look gaunt”

Hitting back at the ASA's take on the matter, Gucci argued that while the models were indeed slim, their bones were not visible at any point in the commercial which the brand say was aimed at an older, more sophisticated audience.

What do you think?

OK, so we don't produce too many models of international-standing, but at least one Galway beauty is now FINALLY bucking that trend.

In fact, Emily Butcher has just caused a storm in Milan this week – walking for Gucci (aka pretty much the jewel in Fashion Week's crown).

Watching were the A-list likes of Anna Wintour (swoon), Charlotte Casiraghi (a member of the Monaco royal household), actress Dakota Johnson, long-standing Vogue Italia editor-in-chief Franca Sozzani, it-girl Alexa Chung, and Hollywood's Salma Hayek.

Emily, who grew up in Ireland but whose family all hail from the UK, has cited Rosie Huntington Whiteley as her career inspiration in the past, and certainly the 18-year-old is headed for big things.

She's already walked for Armani and appeared last month on the pages of Glamour Italia.

However, with an exclusive contract with Gucci currently under her belt, rumour has it that the 5ft 10in head-turner is being lined-up for the Italian fashion-house's next HUGE campaign.

Currently signed to the high-profile Next Model Management in London, Emily can also be found on the books of Andrea Roche in Dublin.

Andrea herself told Goss.ie that Emily is "shooting for Marie Claire soon," furthermore revealing that this week actually represents the second time the teenager has walked for the Gucci brand (she first appeared on its catwalk three months ago, also in Milan).

Ms Butcher actually only began modelling properly a year ago – kicking off her career by appearing in Brown Thomas shows and doing photocalls in Dublin.

Under a snap posted on the Andrea Roche Model Agency Facebook page last September announcing the arrival on Emily onto its books, the young woman's beaming grandparents couldn't help but share their joy.

Norfolk-based Roger and Angie Butcher wrote: "What proud Grandparents we are. You are beautiful. XX"
