Did Gwyneth and Chris have an ‘open marriage’?

Even though it’s been two weeks since Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin have announced they were splitting up, reports are now circulating that the couple had “open marriage” for years.

One friend of the actress said that the couple “…were physically separated and emotionally”.

While another added: “They have been on and off for many years”.

This could explain the cheating rumours surrounding Chris Martin the last few days, as it’s been revealed by friends of Gwyneth that she didn’t care if he went out with other women.

Further reports are suggesting, that all the time that both Gwyneth and Chris spent apart as a result of work; had led them both into the arms of other people.

Either-ways, we don’t think the buzz surrounding Gwyneth and Chris is going to die down anytime soon.

Why is Gwyneth not popular with her neighbours?

We all know Gwyneth Paltrow isn’t the most popular celeb around, but it seems her neighbours don’t even have anything nice to say about the actress.

Gwyneth moved into her $10 L.A. home in 2012 and her neighbours have revealed she isn’t the most friendly, as she has not spoken to them at all since moving in two years ago.

It seems the actress even had disagreement with her neighbours after a high gate was put up and they weren’t consulted.

But despite their best efforts they could never speak to Gwyneth directly, only through her assistant.

Paltrow’s neighbour, Hilda McGonigle said she was mostly upset that the actress never spoke to anyone about any changes that would affect the neighbourhood: “I only got annoyed when the workmen would illegally park in my driveway and they hadn’t even spoken to me about it. We never got to see Gwyneth.”

However, Hilda doesn’t seem to feel the same about Gwyneth’s former husband, Chris Martin who she said was always friendly.

“We used to see Chris walking the dogs, he was a really nice guy. He was the one with the talent; she was the one just writing cook books. I didn’t have much time for her, but I liked him.”

It hasn’t been an easy few days for Gwyneth and Chris but the actress’ best friend, Cameron Diaz has revealed that the actress is doing ok and has made the right decision.

Cameron revealed that the couple wanted to live separate lives but still wish to maintain a strong bond for their children and still remain friends.

“People want them to blow up and it to be ugly, but they’re kind, generous, loving people who really care about one another. Just because they don’t want to be a couple together, doesn’t mean that they have to hate one another. They are really good friends.”

The actress went onto to say that both her best friend and the Coldplay singer are “doing great” and are both “brave” for making their decision.

The shock split of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin has left us with a landslide of questions.

They seemed like the perfect couple so something doesn’t quite add up, and we want – no, we need answers!

While the couple were very clear that the break-up was amicable, rumours are rife that the marriage ended because Gwyneth cheated on her Coldplay hubby.

And new pictures of the actress kissing a former flame, a mere six months before the couple announced their split, have added much fuel to the fire.

Gwyneth was spotted getting very close to ex-boyfriend Donovan Leitch, who she dated in the early 90s, during an LA Dodgers game in September.

And that’s not all. Earlier this year, Gwyneth’s agent shot down reports that the star had cheated on Chris with entertainment lawyer Kevin Yorn.

The actress’ spokesperson has to jump to her defence once again last year after a rumoured fling with supermodel Elle Macpherson’s husband Jeff Soffer, blasting it as “completely false.”

Gwyneth is said to be fuming with being labelled a cheat – who wouldn’t be? – and pals of the actress have said allegations that she was unfaithful to her husband are ‘ridiculous’.

News of shock split crashes Gwyneth’s Goop site

Gwyneth Paltrow’s lifestyle website Goop crashed after the split news with Coldplay’s Chris Martin was posted.

Traffic to the site was so hectic after she posted the announcement that it crashed, but not before the shocking news spread like wildfire.

The news sent the Internet into a frenzy last night, and users trying to access the Goop site were being faced with an error message.

“We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate,” Paltrow and Martin wrote.

“We have always conducted our relationship privately, and we hope that as we consciously uncouple and co-parent, we will be able to continue in the same manner,” the message concluded.

Vanity Fair editor compares Gwyneth to Kim Jong-un

Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter has compared Gwyneth Paltrow to the Korean dictator after her efforts to boycott the magazine, saying, “Kim Jong-un couldn’t have issued a more blanket demand.”

Last year it was claimed that the magazine was planning a tell-all expose on the actress, which she immediately reacted to by banning her friends and family from speaking to the publication’s writers. This resulted in a more tamed version of the piece being run in December 2013.

Graydon said: “She asked that [friends and family] not speak to Vanity Fair about her or about anything else ever again. Ever Again”.

He also added that he had spoken to Gwyneth about the incident and she asked his advice on how to be more likeable, to which he suggested “putting on 15 pounds”. Nice guy.

Celebrities react to Phillip Seymour Hoffman’s death

A much loved and respected actor was lost this weekend and many of his fellow actors and public figures have been using social media outlets to voice their grief and dismay at losing Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Gwyneth Paltrow uploaded this cute picture of her laughing alongside Philip saying, “Philip was a true genius”.

Madonna took to her Instagram account to voice her grief, writing “Lost another genius! What a tragedy”.

Sir Ian McKellan’s touching tribute to the late actor featured an image of Philip and Natalie Portman shooting for the movie, The Seagull in 2001. McKellan talks about his regret at not meeting Hoffman when he came to see his play last month, saying; “Last month he came to our plays at the Cort Theatre. I wish, now more than ever, we had met afterwards, so I could have told him of my admiration”.

Gwyneth Paltrow is known for her loving her beauty treatments, which include wrinkle-busting laser facials, Chinese cupping therapy, macrobiotic diets and… the list goes on.

However, The Avengers star’s latest fad is definitely a top spot contender for weird regimes.

Chris Martin’s wife has admitted to undergoing bee venom therapy, which involves being stung by the live insect – ouch!

Talking to Marie Claire magazine the American actress said: “The craziest treatment I’ve tried is one where I was stung by a live bee. It’s called apitherapy and it’s apparently been used since Egyptian times to promote healing.”

Gwyneth added that venom is not the only bee-related product she likes.

She explained: “I was recently given bee venom therapy for an old injury and it disappeared. I was recommended bee pollen, raw honey and propolis for various purposes. So far, these recommendations have worked for me”.

Each to their own, we suppose.
