Westlife have just released a brand new single called Hello My Love, and naturally fans have damn near lost their sanity over it.

The boyband are set to release their first album since 2010's Gravity, and The Twenty Tour is already the group's fastest selling tour of all time.

Mark, Shane, Nicky and Kian will play massive Croke Park dates in July, which has fans ecstatic in expectation.

An INSANE 400,000 tickets were sold in just 48 hours, so you can bet on their new single being played on the radio pretty much 24 hours a day from now on.

Their new tune, Hello My Love, was written by renowned pop hitmakers Ed Sheeran and Steve Mac, so it's bound to be a successful chart-topper.

However, one perceptive Twitter user named Aifric noticed the peculiar lyrics about hair which are featured in the song, and now we're confused.

In case you've been living under a sizeable rock and have missed the furore, the semi-romantic lyrics are;

"'Cause you could have someone without a belly or a temper, perfect teeth, hair growing where's meant to…"

Hair growing where it's meant to?

Aifric commented; "the lyrics to the new Westlife song are…grim," pointing out the strangeness of body hair being featured in a supposed love song.

What exactly is the definition of 'hair growing where it's meant to'? We're fairly sure that all hair grows where it's meant to, it's called EVOLUTION lads. Look it up.

We genuinely hadn't noticed the lyrics, we were too busy blasting the tune and wrangling randomers online to try and get a Croke Park ticket, but now we're investigating the song for science purposes only.

*Strokes beard thoughfully*

Seeing as we're an extremely balanced source, we decided to search for other Westlife fans (or foes) who have expressed opinions on the lyrics.

One Twitter user @ghoulenaloops, wrote that the lyrics go straight to the heart, proclaiming; "That's LOVE'. Alright then, if you say so.

Some fans don't have any issue with the lyrcs, it seems. Maybe the boys meant it in a 'this girl is far too good for me' way?

After all, the chorus suggests that the writer of the song emphasises that his lady is so perfect, that he's punching far above his weight.

"Hello, my love, I've been searching for someone like you for most of my life, happiness ain't a thing I'm used to. You could have fallen hard for anyone, plenty of fish in the sea…
For all of time, now I know, It's just my angel and me."

The boyband essentially specialise in ballads and pop songs revolving around a (female) love interest, but this tune kind of implies that the lad is insecure AF.

studying how to colour one direction GIF

Twitter had some more…interesting… reactions, mainly from fans who choose to ignore the eccentric lyrics out of sheer dedication to the band.

Others hilariously commented on the fact that any decent assumptions which were made about the physique of the Westlife lads were being steadily shattered;

@Wendybird1 wrote that the lyric is, heaven forbid, ruining illusions about Shane Filan's 'perfect body'. The poor woman must be devastated.

Another fan with a 'wee soft spot' for the musical foursome commented that the lads are…*gasp* 'SCRAPING THE BARREL with these lyrics. Ouch, that one hurt.

Typically, society tells men that hair growing in the 'wrong' place translates to back hair, nostril hair and even hair sprouting out of ears.

If we fight back against the patriarchy controlling women's body hair (anyone who has experienced a Hollywood wax knows the PAIN), shouldn't we encourage men to embrace their bodies in their natural state?

im so real i didnt even wax tichina arnold GIF by VH1s Daytime Divas

Society shouldn't have any say in an individual's body and its preference of hair, but perhaps Westlife like a bit of male grooming?

Manscaping has become a major trend for men in recent years, which is essentially the equivalent of a bikini wax.

However, some ladies love a hairier man. Everyone has their own styles and preferences, who are we to define them?

What are your thoughts on the lyrics, innocent male insecurity or just plain body-shaming?

Give us your receipts, our scientific investigation on the mane matter rages on…

Taking to Instagram to flaunt her new locks, the 34-year-old showed off her pink hair.

The Kardashian kept her flawless blonde hair but jazzed it up with touches of baby pink highlights.

Khloe opted to keep her hair a longer length and we just think it's divine.

We aren't alone in our thoughts as her fans couldn't get enough of it.

Sister Kylie is also rocking this colour and it's just stunning.

However, we probably won't be hopping aboard this trend any time soon, as we don't have the hairdressers these gals do.

We all have had a bad experience with heating tools and haircare: whether it's burning your scalp or just creating supremely dodgy curls for a night out, it's happened to us all.

Some gals even resort to teaching their boyfriends how to use hair tools to stop themselves from constantly getting burnt, and other gals just give up altogether.

Taming the mane can be tedious, frustrating and just downright PAINFUL. This Christmas, we're hoping to get a gift from Santa which will ultimately stop the problem of tangled brushes and applying aloe vera to our burns.

We have scoured the lands trying to find a tool that allows us to move our heads and hands around without the heat danger, and creates the perfect looks for day and night.

HALLELUIJAH: a new and improved version of the Instyler has just been released, and it just might save your life.

You might remember the original Instyler; in case you've been living under a haircare rock, it's become a huge name by transforming hair into big bouncy waves and straight, sleek locks.

The Instyler Max now comes in three glam colours: purple, black and pink, and we can't decide which one we want more.

Praise the Lord, no more burns. The Instyler Max has a rotating barrel addition which straightens, curls, and adds twice the amount of body to our hair. It works super fast so you won't be spending hours with aches in your neck staring at the mirror.

Trying to get picture-perfect hair can be tricky at best, re-creating glamorous curls or straight sleek looks from our favourite catwalk shows seems unfairly difficult considering we don't have a personal hairstylist on hand.

We are hoping (nay, praying) that this tool will be the answer to our hair prayers. Think of it like a mini-hairstylist that you can carry around in your bag.

Treat yourself, we are definitely nabbing this in time for our Christmas party.

So, you may have noticed that the ladies here at SHEmazing HQ have a sliiight obsession with all things Harry Potter.

From Potter-themed hotels to Sorting Hat candles, we're running out of ways to prove our love for the magical series – well, almost.

Introducing Harry Potter hair!

Inspired by the colours of the house of Gryffindor, the magical look is was first created by hairstylist Crystal Casey created using a balayage technique with hues of orange, yellow, red and purple.

Speaking to Allure about how she created the spellbinding hairstyle, she explained: "The colour itself was inspired by Gryffindor from the Harry Potter movies, with my own twist, of course."

And the best part is that the HP hairdo suits all skin tones, as Crystal explains: "Since a lot of the natural brown base is left untouched, just about any skin tone can wear it."

And for those of you who were sorted into a different house (hey, hey fellow Slytherins), a whole host of Howarts-themed hair colours have been popping up online recently.

Just check out these whimsical styles created by Krystina Sporck.

Sorry, but being in Ravenclaw has never looked more appealing.

Ash balayage is doing the rounds on Instagram at the moment, and starts as any normal balayage hair colour would—with dark-toned roots.  Now don’t be confused, it’s a completely different colour to the original blond balayage which celebs like Blake Lively embraced particularly during her pregnancy.

The hair colour shifts towards a lighter, ashy blonde colour, until gradually fading out into a greyish/silver shade.

Whilst this DEFINITELY one our favourite hair trend of 2018 so far we still can’t help but love the original brown balayage trend.

It is ash-aloutley fabulous.

Nutella is amazing on many things. Toast, crepes, cakes, a spoon, and now, our hair.

One salon, based in the Lebanon, has gained international attention for using Nutella as a hair treatment in it's cut and colours.

The salon, called Abed & Samer, has posted viral videos of the yummy hazelnut treat being incorporated into their professional hair styling.

With it's high fat and protein content, hypothetically the sweet, chocolatey goodness could be good for your hair, but there is no scientific evidence to back this up.

The salon also employs the use of whipped cream, caramel, chocolate sauce and condensed milk to tone, dye and treat the hair.

While the treatment sounds a little sticky, we'd opt for Nutella-scented tresses in a heart beat.

Until the method makes it's way to Irish shores, we'll be treating ourselves to some Nutella on toast.

Kate Middleton completely stole the show at Wimbledon this week when she debuted a brand new do.

Gone are the lengthy brunette tresses, and in their place is a stylish, lighter summer hair style.

A post shared by Ascari Salons (@ascari.salons) on

The stunning Duchess is giving us all kinds of hair inspiration to see out the summer, and her shorter but not quite lob-length hair is low-maintenance perfection.

While it's definitely not a dramatic change, the slightly lighter look adds a summery edge to her tresses.

The shorter, but still versatile, length makes this look perfect for those who like the option of still having enough length to play around with different styles, without the mega-maintenance of Rapunzel locks.

A post shared by Move Notícias (@movenoticias) on

If you're heading to the hairdressers, picture of Kate in hand, make sure you ask for a long bob with an inch or two of extra length, cut with minimal layering for a full-bodied result.

As for brunettes looking to add a sun-kissed touch to their hair, request some very subtle, sparse highlights, with most centred around the front of the face.

If you want to channel Kate's hair style at home, grab the straighteners or curling iron and create around four big, loose curls in the hair, directing the curl spiral away from the face.

Make sure you use a heat protection spray ahead of hear styling, and then separate the loose curls even more with your fingers.

Finish with a spritz of hair spray for the ideal curly blow dry look, just like Kate's.

The world is obsessed with fidget spinners at the moment, and there isn't a kid in the country who doesn't have one of these nifty little toys stashed in their pencil case at this very moment.

The toys have been adopted by the online beauty community, with MUA James Charles using the spinning gadgets to create a killer contour.

Now, YouTuber Bunny Meyer, or Grav3yardGirl as she is known to fans, has incorporated them into her hair care routine.

A post shared by grav3yardgirl (@grav3yardgirl) on

Out of curiosity, the YouTuber decided to test the toys to see if they could be used like hair rollers to create luscious wavy locks.

She ordered a bumper-pack of 100 of them, but only ended up needing 18 to complete the hair care trial.

Starting off with wet hair, Bunny wrapped small sections of hair around each curve of the spinners.

Using bobby pins to hold the whole thing together, she blasted the look with a hair dryer to set it.

A post shared by grav3yardgirl (@grav3yardgirl) on

The result?

Well, it actually kind of worked if you're into Kesha-eaque wavy locks.

However, Bunny did comment that the toys were a literal pain in the neck thanks to their weight.

Check out the final look for yourself;

Getting ready for a big night out can often be the best part of the entire night.

Getting the girls around for 'a few' pre-drinks while everyone primps and preens themselves over a glass of gin & tonic is where the goss is divulged, and sometimes leaving the house for the club gets pushed back later and later thanks to the catch ups

I'm usually a no fuss, no frills kind of girl, and if my hair gets brushed before hitting the bar, I consider myself made up.

A post shared by D R Y & F L Y (@dryandflydublin) on

Dry & Fly Blow Dry Beauty Bar, nestled on the second floor above L'Occitane on Wicklow Street, is designed with the sole purpose of bringing women together for some quality time, all while getting pampered ahead of a night out.

I went along to see exactly what pre drinks pampering was all about, and to get a sneak peek of what is destined to be one of Dublin's buzziest salons.

The city centre space is, for want of a better term, Instagram-worthy, with a modern but feminine aesthetic, assisted by the paint washed exposed brick, pink neon signs and copper accents.

Steven, the giant dog statue, who looks like a piece of art, is actually a speaker imported from France for the sole purpose of bringing the ultimate ladies night playlist to Dry & Fly's clients, adds to the ambience.

The blow drying stations are positioned specifically so that groups of gal pals can get their hair and nails done as a group ahead of an event, and the salon offers each client a glass of Glendalough gin and tonic garnished with blood orange and rosemary (delish) or a glass of Prosecco to get the party started.

The beauty bar even boasts a DJ booth, where local DJs spin tracks on Friday and Saturday nights while clients enjoy their luxurious blowdries.

Andrew O'Neill, one of the founders and visionaries behind the salon, sought to create a cool, collective experience for women to go straight from the salon to their destination, freshly made up and ready to take the town.

Big, bouncy blow outs are the aim of the creative stylists at Dry & Fly, and and their look book features all the classics, from the sleek and straight glossy blow out to Hollywood waves.

For those feeling a little more experimental, the salon stylists are also well versed in festival braids, dramatic pony tails and up-dos.

A post shared by SHEmazing! (@shemazingie) on

The salon deal exclusively with Kevin Murphy hair products, a staple in the beauty arsenals of both beauty bloggers and professional hair stylists across the country.

Gin in hand and after a quick flick through the salon's look book, I settled on the Ty Twist blow dry, a beachy, bouncy look that gave life to my long and admittedly lifeless locks.

I opted for the full experience, getting my hair washed in one of the salon's comfy basins, with a full view of the painted letters on the ceiling, which read 'relax, you're not cheating on your hairdresser.'

You can also come in with your hair washed and just go straight for a dry blow out.

I sat down in one of the socially set-out chairs to have my hair and nails done simultaneously, feeling like I was one pink silk robe away from a backstage Victoria's Secret moment.

The salon seats, laid out so that friends can face each other and chat, were ideal for receiving both treatments at once.

Having two stylists working on my hair and nails seemed like the ultimate pinnacle of having notions, but hey, who doesn't want to feel like they're working with a Kardahian-esque glam squad at least once in their lives?

The salon is open until 10pm on Friday and Saturday for those pre-night out blow dry sessions, and from 7am to 7pm through the rest of the week.

Check it out for yourself at www.dryandfly.com.
