Listen closely, mythical creatures; there is a new hair colour trend trending online, and it may be the best one yet.

In 2016, we have seen countless quirky hair trends, from unicorn locks to phoenix hair… but now we have mermaids.

Mermaid hair has become EXTREMELY popular on social media, with millions of people using the hashtag to share their gorgeous manes.

The concept is quite similar to unicorn hair, but the colours are a little bit more sea-friendly AND the hair must be styled with a wave (sea-pun alert).

The colour combination can vary, but typically any mermaid hair look will include blue, green, purple and pink (not necessarily all together).

Anyone looking to make a change in 2017, this might just be your answer.

We never considered that there could be a celebrity hairdryer – but the arrival of the LaniaBLO has officially proved us all sorts of wrong.

Yup, just about every hairspiration queen, Snapchat superstar and model with flicktastic tresses has been spotted branishing a white, black, or pink model of the newly-launched brand.

The fact that you can get your NAME printed on the side is frankly enough for us to start furiously writing ‘Dear Santa…’ but the specs are also spot-on: namely 2400W of power (read: you’ll dry your hair VERY fast) and a super-long lead so you can stretch half way across the room to your mirror.

And with the recently-launched Dyson SuperSonic costing a not-so jingle bells €400 (eh, does it come with free Blake Lively strands?!) we were also oh-so pleasantly surprised to see that the LanaiBLO is a far more festive-friendly €100.

Hurrah!

Here’s a round-up of the celebs we’ve spotted sporting luscious locks courtesy of LanaiBLO…

Kylie Jenner has returned to her natural brunette roots after two months of finding out if blondes really do have more fun.

The teen was kept busy with her cosmetics line since revealing her platinum do, but documented her return to the dark side on Snapchat.

Celebrity hair stylist Tokyo Stylez performed the long and complicated hair process to get the reality TV star back to her roots.

Some fans believed that the star was shunning her dyed platinum do' in favour of vibrant red, but the red toner was only applied to help transition the make up mogul's hair.

The final snap showed the smiling star with freshly washed and dyed dark hair, captioned with the words “It’s me again.”

The teen also took to Instagram this week to share a series of new snaps promoting a mysterious new enterprise called The Kylie Shop.

The snaps showed the reality TV star in various states of undress, so it is speculated that the new shop will sell Kylie-brand lingerie, though no official details have been leaked.

Without a laborious blow-dry or fist full of crunch-inducing mousse, introducing volume to fine hair can be a challenge.

So when we heard whispers of a new foam conditioner which can be applied and rinsed out while showering, we simply had to try it.

While initially sceptical as to how much benefit could actually be derived from what could be perceived as a gimmicky product, when tested by the SHEmazing! team the Pantene Pro-V Air-Light Foam Conditioner proved itself a rare gem in a market brimming with false hope.

This unique conditioner uses tiny champagne-sized bubbles to distribute nourishing ingredients throughout the entire head.  Because its formula is weightless in nature, the Air-Light Foam will not rest heavy on thin hair therefore allowing it to appear more volumised.

What’s interesting about this product is that it is as useful to those with thicker locks as it is those with fine hair because its lightweight formation allows users to thoroughly condition their hair from root to tip without weighing down the strands or encouraging the scalp to become greasy.

Where traditional conditioners often leave the hair closest to the head soft but flat, the Pantene Air-Light Foam boosts each strand from the base while leaving it conditioned, salon smooth and, most importantly, with a desirable amount of volume throughout.

Pantene Pro-V Air-Light Foam Conditioner will be available in pharmacies nationwide from February 2017.  RRP: €5.99.

With the resurgence of almost forgotten fashion trends, it was almost inevitable that the kids of the 80s and 90s would eventually begin searching their childhoods for unique forms of hairspiration.

So, when some of the most colourful toys of those eras presented themselves as obvious muses, My Little Pony Hair was the natural result.

Brightening the walls of Instagram more than 18,000 times, this eye-catching hair trend has produced locks of every shade and colour combination imaginable to utterly dazzling effect.

From powerful, rainbow coloured curls to the prettiest of pastel pinks, these girls are paying perfect tribute to the plastic equines of their youth.

She’s drifted between auburn and strawberry blonde shades with ease, but Bella Thorne has now ditched those subtle hues in favour of a more daring look.

The former Disney star took to Instagram yesterday to reveal the effects of an intense red dye job, one which was finished with a solid dose of highlighter green dip-dye.

The 19-year-old actress was not alone in making this drastic transition as she was joined by her sister Dani who displayed their matching tresses online.

First, it was the succulent nails (and they were gross), but now a new plant-based beauty trend has hit the Internet, and it's not half bad.

I admit that I would not be trying it myself, but for those of you who like mad hair colours- succulent hair may just be your new bae!

What is it though?

Basically, succulent hair is a new layered dye trend that incorporates all of the colours in succulents.

These are not just green shades, succulents actually have gorgeous purple and blue undertones, which makes for a pretty cool hair style.

INSTAGRAM HAIR TREND OF THE WEEK! Meet #SUCCULENTHAIR…haircolor inspired by everyone’s favorite wedding favor! Stylists across the U.S. have been dyeing their clients' locks with a gorgeous mix of green, purple, teal, and pink to mimic the natural colors of succulents. On Instagram, under the #succulenthair tag, you'll find excellent examples of the hair-color trend—in between pictures of women literally wearing tiny succulents in their hair on their wedding days. Aly Louch, a stylist at Shear Excitement Salon & Spa in Pompano Beach, Florida, tried out succulent hair on a client who is obsessed with the plants. "We had been talking about creating a piece inspired by succulents for some time," Louch tells Allure. "Finally, we just decided to stop talking about it and do it." Before the succulent dye job, the model had different shades of blue, purple, and pink in her hair, so Louch had to strip her hair of the rainbow entirely before starting the coloring process. Once the model's hair was basically a blank canvas, Louch brushed on a mix of vivid greens, leaving out the bottom two inches. Then Louch went back in to "melt and diffuse the ends with a mixture of pink, magenta, and wild orchid with a drop of violet," she says. #redavid #redavidhair #hair #fashion #beauty #americansalon #modernsalon #beautylaunchpad #behindthechair #hairscience #orchidoil #sciencethatworks #stylingthatstuns #hairtrend #trend #haircolor #unicorntribe

Kendall’s done it, Elle has tried it and now Hailey Baldwin has decided to give pastel hair a go.

Since rising to fame two years ago, the 19-year-old model has remained relatively true to her blonde ‘do, but yesterday she took to Instagram to display a whole new look.

In a post captioned “good mornings”, Stephen Baldwin’s daughter uploaded a picture of herself posing with a floral coffee cup and in doing so revealed to the world her new pink hairstyle.

She mightn’t know the date of her best friend’s birthday, but Gigi Hadid is well able to choose the perfect autumnal hairstyle.

The normally blonde model seems to have veered away from her signature Cali style as she has been pictured sporting a notably darker hue.

Bronde has effectively bypassed ombre to become A/W16’s prettiest shade.

And since it suits a variety of skin tones, is easy to maintain and allows wearers to gently transition between seasons, it’s easy to see why.

While generally celebrated for her boho style, Vanessa Hudgens has come under fire this week for experimenting with box braided hair.

The High School Musical star has been heavily criticised online for a series of Snapchats in which she showed off the look which is traditionally worn by African women because of its protective properties.

Online commentators have accused the star of cultural appropriation for sporting the ‘do.

One user wrote: “People like @VanessaHudgens, #hate true #BlackWomen, but love the #cultural, our #men, and our #music!  #Confuse (sic).”

While another said:  “Vanessa Hudgens…Queen of cultural appropriation.”

Social media users have also been quick to point out that this is not the first time the 27-year-old has been accused of adopting symbols of cultural significance for fashion-related purposes.

She has previously been pictured wearing a sari, a bindi and a Native American headdress.

However, others have defended the star by questioning why white women wearing braids is considered culturally inappropriate.

“Is it cultural appropriation when a black girl gets her hair straighten?  No?  Then why can’t we wear braids (sic)?” asked one woman.

An Afghan Hound has become an unlikely Internet sensation after images of her glossy hair began to drive dog lovers delirious.

Tea, the “supermodel” dog from Sydney, went viral this week after her owner, Luke Kavanagh, posted a picture of her lying on a bench to Facebook.

The image has now been shared more than one million times as fans admire five-year-old Tea’s impressive coat.

Speaking of the retired show dog, Luke told Local News that Tea can’t go anywhere without attracting attention.

“We always thought that she was far too pretty to keep at home,” he said.

“Even our weekend walks draw a crowd.  She pretends she doesn’t need the attention, but she definitely loves it, just like any supermodel.”

Since accidentally achieving viral fame, Tea has been approached by advertising companies and has taken up animal acting.

With hair like that, it would have been wrong not to!

Just days after her fellow Celebrity Big Brother contestant, Stpehanie Davis, debuted a brand-new look, Megan McKenna decided to get in on the action.

And if her Instagram account is anything to go by, her fans and followers are all over it.

Sharing a snap of herself rocking a long slick style with thick blunt fringe, Megan wrote: "Heyyyyyy  Thankyou so much @shane_o_sullivan for my new look! I am in love with my@easilockshair hair!!"

On the post which racked up more than 45,000 likes in an hour, one fan wrote: "Wow Megan! You look amazing! That hair cut really suits you!"

Using Megan's snap to weigh in on the current Pet Wixks drama, she added: "Mind you, you would look beautiful in a bin bag! Pete must be insane to mess you around. Onwards and upwards girl! The world is your oyster."

And while some fans were effusive in their praise, other followers were clearly schooled in the backhanded compliment way of life.

"Can't say I've always been a fan of your look (a bit chavvy for me) but honestly, this is stunning," she wrote.

Well, we're sure Megan will be only thrilled with that one…
