As we finally coax Michelle Keegan back over to the dark side, two more striking brunettes have decided to take a trip on the lighter side of lock life.

But while Kylie Jenner still looks relatively like herself, Geordie Shore’s Chloe Ferry’s next to white ‘do and cosmetic surgery addiction has left her looking totally unrecognisable.

Yesterday the 21-year-old reality star revealed her new look on Instagram and already her long blonde hair has garnered some pretty harsh reactions.

Thankfully for those who aren’t fans of Chloe’s brighter style, her new ‘do is the result of a convincing looking wig so presumably her dark tresses remain intact beneath.

We’re glad Chloe’s used a temporary measure to test this look as it hopefully means she’ll be returning to her roots in the near future.

Back in July our hearts wept as Michelle Keegan swapped her trademark brunette locks for a much lighter look.

And while we were temporarily relieved to learn that the Corrie actress’ new ‘do was part of her role in Tina And Bobby, Michelle’s decision to remain blonde once filming had finished had us worried that we might never again see her as a brunette.

Thankfully though at long last the British star has stepped out with the long brown hair we all know and love, and while her new style is not quite as dark as it once was, we still think Michelle’s hair looks WAY better than it did blonde.

The 29-year-old actress was snapped heading to BBC Breakfast in Manchester this morning with her fresh look to promote the upcoming series of Gone Girl.

According to the Mail Online, in a separate interview Michelle was also forced to address rumours surrounding her relationship with Mark Wright.

The brunette beauty told The Sun that while she and her husband of one year have struggled to spend time together recently, their relationship is definitely not in trouble.

 

With a fab new look and her relationship intact, it looks like things are on the up for Michelle.

Taylor Swift has kinda been keeping a low profile since her BF Tom Hiddleston went away to film his new movie.

But yesterday, she stepped out in New York rocking yet another different hairstyle.

During the year, the singer dyed her hair peroxide blonde and then only a few weeks ago changed back to her original honey-toned hair.

However, it seems she's now taken a step back and is bright blonde again… and rocking a rather unusual side fringe.

The kind of side fringe that we all used to wear in 2009 with our neon socks and tutu skirts.

But then again, whatever floats Tay's boat. What do you think of her new style?

Vanessa Hudgens is certainly one of our fave ladies for style. Her look is totally chill and casual, and if I tried to pull it off I'd probably look like I just got out of bed…

However, the leading lady has gone through TWO major hair changes in the space of a day.

She told InStyle last week: "I actually just texted my hair stylist saying I want to do something fun… So we'll what happens."

Of all the reality stars in Chelsea, E4’s Jess Woodley easily has the most admirable sense of style. 

From her choppy blonde bob to her endless supply of dungarees, she is one of MIC’s more alternatively dressed cast members and with that look she has gained herself a pretty impressive following.

The reality star’s hairdresser Harriet Muldoon told Look that since last October she’s been adjusting Jess’ golden locks towards a more bleached style. 

Because of Jess' complexion they felt the peach shade would be a good colour to experiment with and, by the looks of these Instagram posts, we have to agree.

This is CRAY.

I have to admit, I used to have the fear for scissors. When a hairdresser would come near me with one, I would inch away, tell her my mam was wrong and I only wanted a little trim.

They always took off more than I wanted, anyway.

But this new technique spotted on Instagram is just INSANE and certainly not for the faint-hearted.

The time-lapsed clip shows a hairstylist from M&M Friseure dividing hair into four tight ponytails.

She then goes on to snip each one, and when it's all over… her hair is GORGEOUS.

Saying that, I wouldn't risk it for the life of me…

Let's be honest, when Rihanna dyed her hair red back in the day, we ALL followed suit and either went full-on red head or got pretty little scarlet tips.

It's a time in our past we'd like to forget forever (well, my pasty Irish skin didn't suit it anyway), however, it looks like the trend might be on its way back in.

There was once a time when you wouldn’t dream of leaving the house without straightening every inch of your hair.  But thanks to the increasing popularity of beach inspired and bedhead hair, the constant feeling of needing your GHD is now a thing of the past.

As the fashion shifts from soft waves to sea salt laden curls, it seems simply adding texture to your hair is no longer enough as a New York-based hairstylist has told Marie Claire “sexture” is now what your mop wants.

Kat Zemtsova says this look is “all about imperfection” and has described it as “the antithesis of stiff waves or sausage curls” – so it’s basically about letting your hair be messy af but in a super sexy kinda way.

The hair artist recommends using a wave spray on wet hair before giving it a good tousle as it dries naturally or adding a dry texturizing spray to the mids and ends of your mane if it hasn’t seen the shower in a few days.

Model Amber Rose is as well known for her curvaceous figure and platinum buzz cut as she is for her outspoken personality, so when one of those physical features is removed she’s bound to look a whole lot different.

The 32-year-old star debuted a whole new look on her Instagram account last night when shared two photos of herself wearing a long brunette wig, pinned back into a 60’s style up-do.

The mother of one seemed to use coloured contact lenses and a set of false lashes to complete the transformation.

Comments on the posts were mixed as Amber’s followers struggled to recognise the TV host.  Some fans praised Amber for looking like Whitney Houston in the pics, while others commented “Omg no no no”.

There's a time and place for everything, and Sarah Hyland thinks it's the right time to show off her tattoo that she got etched eight months ago.

Keeping it under wraps until now, the Modern Family star took to Instagram to share the intimate tattoo on her side which reads, "follow my heartbeat," and it has a pretty special meaning for her.

Making reference to her appearance in the hit musical Hair in 2014, Sarah lifted the line from one of the musical's key tracks, Follow My Heartbeat.

"Where do I go? Follow my heartbeat." – HAIR. Got this tattoo by the amazing @_dr_woo_ this past Janurary but since it's been exactly 2 years since I was with my #hairtribe at the #hollywoodbowl I figured it would be nice to finally post it," she wrote.

"Thank you @adamshankan for changing my life and helping me know that all I need is within me. #selflove."

If there’s one place we don’t normally associate with glamour it’s the kitchen sink, so you can imagine our surprise when we came across a beauty blogger who uses ordinary kitchen sponges to achieve flawlessly curled hair.

After years of struggling with curling irons and twisting our locks around GHDs, vlogger Charmie Janee has shown us how curling should be done.

In an Instagram video which has now been view over 750,000 times, Charmie Janee demonstrates how she curls her lengthily brunette locks by wrapping thick strands of hair around regular sponges.

Once all of her hair has received the spongey treatment, Charmie seems to dampen the sponges before sleeping on her hair overnight.

The next morning she simply releases her locks from the sponges to find totally fabulous results.

Heatless waves with dish sponges?? Say what?  I searched around and saw if it would actually work (and to confirm that I'm not going crazy). So then I saw beautyklove on YouTube curl her hair with bigger sponges, and I thought I would give it a go, however with those ordinary sponges you wash your dishes with (of course make sure it's not used ) I noticed the thicker the hair, the bigger the sponge you need to use, but my hair is thin so I used the small ones. When we think of Summer hair two things come to mind: long and beachy.  But model of the moment Kendall Jenner has decided that neither of those concepts are for her right now as she has given her famous lob the chop.

While Kendall has yet to post an official picture of her new ‘do to her own social media accounts, celebrity hair stylist Jen Atkin has given fans a glimpse of the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star’s new look on Snapchat.

In a series of clips which appeared on Jen’s story yesterday, Kendall is seen wearing an oversized t-shirt with a blown up caricature of her sisters’ late father Robert Kardashian on the back to the salon.

At first only her back is seen as Jen tries to build up her followers’ anticipation by captioning the pic “guess who”.
