Whether you're bringing a smol bean trick or treating or hitting the bars with the girls, Halloween falls on a Wednesday this year, which is making us feel a little less festive.

Rather than opt for a full-on costume, we're leaning more heavily on our makeup bags to nail our witchy looks.

Luckily, Ireland is bursting to the seams with talented MUAs who have provided us with all the inspiration we could need fro a spooky full face.

Here are some of our favourite looks:

Not everyone is capable (or willing) of creating the seriously intricate and product-heaving Halloween makeup looks we see splashed all over Instagram at this time of the year.

From full faces of clown paint to special effect makeup, these labour intensive looks are amazing on completion, but take a lot of effort.

For those looking for a Halloween look with less commitment, blood eyeliner is the way to go.

The simple liner look is ideal if you want to look glamorous rather than scary this year.

Simply team the liner with a little black dress and some edgy fishnet tights for a Halloween look without the horror.

Best of all, the look can be achieved with items already in your makeup bag.

First, take your trusty eyeliner and draw the outline of the flick and the blood drips.

Then, fill in the shape with fake blood or a dark red lipstick.

If you only have a matte lipstick, you can draw on the highlights with white face paint.

Just make sure you add an excellent eye primer and a non-smudge setting spray.

Ladies, it's never too early to start planning your Halloween costume (even if it is 10 months away…).

With that in mind, we'd like to introduce you to one of the most talented makeup artists we have ever seen!

Vanessa Davis is a British MUA, who specialises in theatrical and artistic looks, such as skulls and butterflies.

Vanessa has gained over 169,000 followers in just over 12 months, which is extremely impressive in our opinion.

She uses a number of different tools and paints to achieve her breathtaking looks, such as UV paint, glitter and acrylics.

Unicorn / Pegasus Wings Skull I'm jumping on the Instagram Unicorn band wagon and you guessed it- incorporated a skull in there. I just love anything holographic or rainbow. (Pegasus was white, not rainbow and I chose to leave out the horn and some unicorns do have wings you know) What would you name it? Products Used: @wolfefaceartfx Face Painting FX palette, @maccosmetics @maccosmeticsuk Mechanical eyebrow pencil in 'Stud' to do the outline and pressed eyeshadows (depotted, discontinued and unlabelled – sorry guys) in various rainbow colours. @wonderlandmakeup Pigment powders in 'Chaulked', 'Lolite' and lipstick in Pink Squeeze. Hope you had a lovely weekend guys and feeling geared up for the week ahead #amazingmakeupart #skullmakeup #dupemag #skulltress #skullart #artoftheday #mua #muashoutouts #faceart #facepainting #maccosmetics #maccosmeticsuk #bbloger #makeupoftheday #sopormagazine #thehorrorhub #makeuptutorials #FeatureMeDita #mythcosmetics #skulltress #feature__my_stuff #StyleArtists #iphone6 #100daysofmakeupchallenge

Vanessa has not posted any images of a regular, day-to-day makeup, but this Halloween inspo is giving us all the feels.

Third Eye Skull Makeup This was inspired by Dan Hillier's artwork 'Beetle Skull' (Which I will post shortly). It was an exercise in symmetry and illusion! Products used on the three Eyes: @maccosmetics @maccosmeticsuk Paint Sticks in Process Magenta, Rich Purple, Pigments in Neon 60's, Ruby Red, Process Magenta, outlined using Penultimate eyeliner in Black, @wonderlandmakeup Pigment in Chalked. The lashes are from @lashedibiza and @blackmagiclashes For the Skull  I used @maccosmetics @maccosmeticsuk Full Coverage Foundation in White, translucent setting powder and the Chameleon face painting palette from @tiltmakeup Happy Friday folks, hope you have a great weekend! #amazingmakeupart #skulls #skullmakeup #skull #cyclops #eyemakeup #skulltress #maccosmetics #maccosmeticsuk #facepaint #illusion #illusions

Halloween can be pretty stressful, trying to come up with a really impressive costume.

The thing is, there are so many really easy costumes out there that still look fantastic.

So if you still have no clue what you're dressing up as, take a look at these last minute costume ideas…

Skeleton

This look is really easy to do, and super creepy.

Creepy doll

All you need for this look is your normal makeup, and two pairs of fake eyelashes. OH! and a terrifying stare…

This is SUCH a pretty makeup look. You can also use twigs from your garden as antlers, so it's an eco-friendly costume.

Black cat

This look will take you all of five minutes, and you will be absolutely purrfect.

Vampire

Literally just add blood to your normal makeup for this look. Simple yet effective.

Mermaid

Emmm… yes please. This simple and gorgeous mermaid tutorial is EVERYTHING.

The countdown is on to Halloween, meaning our timelines have been full of gory make-up tutorials.

But we had to stop when we saw these Disney-inspired looks created by UK make-up artist Shonagh Scott – they're the perfect mix of fun and total terror. Shonagh's Twisted Disney Princess series features some seriously morbid takes on our favourite Disney films.

From a Cinderella impaled by her own glass slipper to a Snow White with chemical burns from the witches' apple, these looks are definitely not child's play:

Frozen's Princess Elsa
"In this 'Happily Never After' Elsa's powers backfire, impaling her own neck with an icicle and leaving her with frost bitten fingers," says Shonagh.

The Little Mermaid's Ariel
"Ariel had her voice box ripped out by the sea witch." OUCH.

Cinderella
"While escaping the Prince, Cinders tripped down the stairs, face planted her shoe & impaled her face."

Beauty and the Beast's Belle
"In my version of this 'Happily Never After' the Beast has lashed out at Belle after she stole his Rose!"

Snow White
"The Evil Queen's poisoned Apple has caused a severe chemical burn to poor Snow's face."
