This teenager designed her own prom dress… and it’s just amazing!
After Kyemah McEntyre was bullied by her classmates, she fought back by designing a truly breathtaking prom dress that undoubtedly separated her from the herd of her peers.
Safe (especially when you consider what the attire usually worn to end-of-school soirees) it isn't, but it's most certainly spectacular.
Kyemah, 18, sketched and designed her brightly-coloured gown herself, taking inspiration from traditional African culture.
This dress features a plunging neck-line and a full, princess-style skirt.
It seems the teenager was a target of bullying as she wrote online that "this is for always being labelled as "ugly" or "angry". Thank god stereotypes are just opinions."
She also took to Instagram to explain how she has an alternative concept of what is stylish compared to the typical young person.
"As an artist I have completely different point of view compared to most individuals.
"Throughout the world, there are people who do not notice each others essence and humanity.
"We stunt our collective spiritual growth by allowing assumptions and stereotypes to cloud our mind and thus our physical reality."
And for Kyemah, the icing on the cake was winning the thoroughly-deserved title of Prom Queen during her senior year celebrations.
