This is exciting news for Harry Potter fans! J.K. Rowling has announced that she is writing a new children's book.

The author revealed the news during her first interview as her pseudonym Robert Galbraith on Radio 2 Book Club

"I have an idea for a children's book, actually I have written part of a children's book that I really love, so I'm definitely going to finish that, " she told presenter Simon Mayo.

Ms Rowling was on the show to promote her new book, Career of Evil – a series about private investigator Cormoran Strike – which she is writing under her alter ego. She also said in the interview that writing under a pseudonym is "genuinely liberating."

"The deal was even if I am found out, Robert doesn't do publicity. I just like Robert's writing career to be less about the hype because I'd done so much of that with Potter," J.K. explained.

"I'm the kind of writer who really does want to be alone writing in a room most of the time. With Robert, it feels like it's mostly about the writing, even though people know it's me."

She added that she will definitely continue to write books under her birth name, once she finds some time off from writing a new screenplay for her Harry Potter prequel, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Earlier this year, Harry Potter star Tom Felton and Ariana Grande exchanged funny tweets about what Hogwarts house Ariana belonged to.

He chose Gryffindor for the pop princess, but she later went on to tell him that her Pottermore account had sorted her into Slytherin.

But this week, the two celebs struck up another Twitter conversation after Ariana shared a meme of her blonde self as Lucius Malfoy standing next to a platinum-dyed Draco.

Tom replied by offering his acting services for Ms Grande's next music video, commenting that he could "dig up a very dashing white wig" if necessary.

But even better, Ariana (who is ever the Harry Potter superfan) said she's so ready for this to happen.

Her new song, Focus, will need a video sometime soon, so maybe Tom might just be on to something here. One thing for sure though, we really hope this happens.

If you loved Harry Potter (who didn't?!), you probably dreamed about living in Hogwarts too.

Between the Great Hall, secret passageways and trick staircases, it would be every Potterheads dream come true.

Well, in fact, your dreams may come true very soon as a London firm has converted Royal Connaught Park, the same place that houses The Great Hall from all Harry Potter movies, into a set of apartments and lofts that are every bit as magical as the Gryffindor dormitories.

It took five years of renovations to perform, because "most buildings were derelict and the few that were in use were not maintained very well," says Caroline Comer, the marketing director for Comer Homes.

An apartment in The Great Hall with set you back a fair bit though, with prices ranging between €450,000 to €3.4m.

Residents will also have access to 100 acres of private ground, a swimming pool, and a gym.

But living in The Great Hall already had us sold.

If Daniel Radcliffe and his girlfriend, actress Erin Darke, end up settling down and having kids, they're going to have a VERY weird "how I met your mother" story.

In an interview with Playboy, Daniel revealed that the loved-up pair first got together after they filmed a sex scene (TMI, Daniel).

Daniel and Erin met on the set of Kill Your Darlings, in which he played Allen Ginsberg in Columbia University.

And while the movie generated a lot of buzz for his gay sex scene, it was another one with Erin that changed his life.

(Does anyone else think Harry Potter is officially gone now?!)

In one sexy/mostly awkward scene, Erin's character, Gwendolyn, comes on to Allen in the library.

"That's a wonderful record of us both flirting for the first time," said Daniel.

"There's no acting going on – not from my end anyway," he said, explaining the the connection between them was genuine from the start.

"There's a moment when she makes me laugh, and I'm laughing as me and not as my character."

"She was incredibly funny and smart. I knew I was in trouble."

Memory is a powerful thing – anyone who has been brought back in time by a certain smell or piece of music can attest to that.

But imagine if your memories took over your whole life?

Brisbane woman Rebecca Sharrock has a rare condition which means her capacity to remember things is greatly increased.

As well as trivial things like dates and long numbers, Rebecca can recall events from long ago in huge detail – and can recite entire books word-for-word without prompting.

While most of us can't remember anything before the agree of three, Rebecca says she recalls her first memory from when she was just 12 days old.

"I remember my mum placing me in the drivers seat of the car and taking a picture of me," Rebecca tells The Daily Mirror of her earliest moment.

“I remember every day since then. Some of them I can’t date exactly because I was too young to understand calendars, but I remember what I did that day, what the weather was like and so on."

Rebecca's condition is known as Highly Superior Autobiographical Memory, and it even enables her to recall things like pain and taste.

"For example, I remember falling over when I was three at my grandparents’ house and grazing my left knee. Talking about it now, I’m getting an echo of the sting in my left knee cap."

And if she's eating something she's not a fan of, she can overpower the taste by thinking about her favourite kind of cake – Black Forest gateau.

"It won’t take away hunger but I can re-taste the cherries, chocolate and cream and that takes away the other taste," she explains.

To calm herself from an onslaught of thoughts and memories as a youngster, Rebecca used to recite the Harry Potter series chapter by chapter.

"When she had nightmares as a child, to take her mind off it we'd get her to just start reciting Harry Potter from chapter one," her mum Janet recalls.

Having been diagnosed with autism and OCD as a teen, Rebecca didn't know she had a specific memory condition under Janet saw a TV show about it in 2011.

"I just knew for sure that that was what Becky had too," her mum says.

Now Rebecca uses social media to help reach out to others with HSAM, as well as participating in a long-term study about the condition at at the University of California.

Potter fans, you'll be delighted with this one!

The Harry Potter Warner Bros. Studio Tour in London is opening up its doors for its first ever Christmas-themed dinner.

Yep, excited yet?!

The event is due to take place on 3 December and is described as a "once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to feast in this iconic set."

Lucky diners will be greeted on arrival with drinks and canapés before making their way to the Hogwarts dining room which will be all dressed up for the special occasion – including original props like flaming Christmas pudding and ham studded with cherries which were used in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.

The over-18s only event will certainly pull on a few heartstrings of those who grew up reading J.K. Rowling's books and watching the Harry Potter movies.

And you will receive a special little surprise as you sit down for dinner too; your own wand!

Now you can really fit in with past witches and wizards of the great hall!

After a two-course dinner (with ALL the trimmings), fans will be able to drink Butterbeer in the Backlot Café.

Diners will then be able to walk through Diagon Alley (which will be covered in snow!), sneak into the Gryffindor common room and the Weasley's kitchen at The Burrow.

And if that wasn't enough, the next stop is Platform 9 and 3/4 where you will be treated to a selection of desserts while you explore the original Hogwarts Express.

We have no doubt this will be the biggest party of the year, with the night set to end with music, dancing and a bar for those who want to purchase additional drinks.

Tickets are a bit steep though, coming in at €310, however it would make a pretty unforgettable Christmas present!

Here's a look at the festive menu:

It has been nearly a decade and a half since the first Harry Potter movie hit our screens.

And yet J.K. Rowling dropped a major bomb on fans yesterday when she reminded people of how wrongly they are pronouncing the name of a very important character.

In an interview with Time, the author discussed Harry Potter trivia, and backed up a point made on Twitter:

Ms Rowling responded accordingly to let all her fans know that yes, indeed, we have been saying Voldemort all wrong.

Yup, it seems the 't' at the end of Voldemort's name is silent.

It comes from 'mort,' the French word for 'death' which is pronounced with a silent 't.'

This isn't the first time she's had to clarify the point though. In 1999, at a book singing in California, J.K. answered a fan who asked about the correct way to say He Who Shall Not Be Named's name.

"I say 'Voldemor' but I'm the only one," she told the fan.

J.K doesn't seem too bothered or hurt about the whole thing, so hey, no harm done.

Harry Potter fans are going to be very excited with this latest revelation.

No, unfortunately it is not JK Rowling up to her usual social media lurking, this time it’s Daniel Radcliffe himself making some interesting announcements.

After making a name for himself as the most recognised wizard the world over, the actor has confessed that there is one project he feels would make his parents very proud.

The BBC One ballroom dancing competition, Strictly Come Dancing, is the one reality TV series that Daniel says could tempt him.

“I guess Strictly, because at least my mum and dad would be proud,” he told Radio Times. Dashing hopes everywhere though, he added quickly “That’s not an option!”

Never fear however, Daniel will be reappearing on the small screen soon as he joined BBC Two’s new drama The Gamechangers.

“It’s the story of the computer game Grand Theft Auto, which was a huge part of my life growing up,” he explained.

“I play Sam Houser, one of the guys who invented it. But I never had any idea about the detail of the trouble the guys got into, or even that it was such a British story.”

Since the ended of the Harry Potter films in 2011, Daniel has had a number of decidedly darker roles, he doesn’t seem to consider this a planned move. Instead he said he chooses his projects taking into consideration what experience they will provide.

“I choose scripts by asking: what is the experience that is going to make me most happy? I’m very lucky, but there’s no grand career plan.”

While on the topic of his formative years, Daniel said that The Simpsons were one of his things to watch. He confessed that whole travelling outside of the UK he misses one particular show dearly: Come Dine With Me.

“I watch a lot of it. It’s all down to the voiceover guy, Dave Lamb. Other versions in different countries just aren’t as good.”

Most of us grew up in the age of Harry Potter, but the majority of the books were actually set back some time ago.

The first one is supposed to be set across the years 1991 and 1992, which is around five years before the book was even published.

So if you add it all up, it means that the Battle Of Hogwarts didn't actually take place until 1998 (how mind boggling).

Harry was born on July 31, 1980, making him the fair old age of 35 right now.

He had his first child with Ron's sister,Ginny, in 2004 when he was aged 24 meaning – after ALL the maths is done – Harry's son, James Sirius Potter, is now at the tender age of 11.

And since it's now September and schools are returning, that means James is setting off to London for his first journey on the Hogwarts Express!

How exciting!

Luckily for all us muggles, JK Rowling resorted to Twitter to let us in on the special event.

After she tweeted the message, of course Twitter went into meltdown…

We also couldn't help but look back at Harry's first trip to Hogwarts…

How cute!

For all you Potterhead and beauty lovers out there, it seems your dream has finally come true!

LA Splash Cosmetics has come up with a line of liquid lipsticks named after J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter characters and wizardry terms.

Needless to say, the colours are getting some serious publicity.

The lipsticks come in a range of dark and bright colours and some of the names include Bellatrix, Sirius, Lovegood and Ravenclaw.

While the whole Potter world is freaking out with excitement, some fans are taking it very seriously and getting angry that the colours and names don't match.

One Facebook user Samantha Miller commented: "Just because they took the names from a book, they think they're great and geeky. But the colors they used for each one are just No. Bellatrix should have been that deep, deep red she wore. Sirius should have been close to black in color. The navy for Bellatrix should have been Ravenclaw. Its just a mess."

If you agree or disagree, here's a look at the fabulous colours:
