Oh no, we do not like this news, at all!

Our dreams of Harry, Ron and Hermione being real-life best friends have been well and truly crushed – by Daniel Radcliffe himself.

Emma Watson, Rupert Grint and Daniel all began filming the Harry Potter franchise at age 11, and the three grew up together on screen and in front of their fans.

However, it doesn’t look as if the three are as close as we thought following comments made by Daniel recently.

Daniel was speaking to OK! when he was asked about his friendship with Emma, and it was not what we wanted to hear: “I haven’t spoken to her in quite a while. I’m sure we’ll see her at some point. We were all together for ten years, so we’re excited to meet new people now.”

It’s a wonderful day to be a Harry Potter fan as J.K. Rowling today submitted her longest piece of original content to the fan website, Pottermore.com.

The 2,400 word entry by the author is entitled “History of the Quidditch World Cup”.

As well as providing a background to the epic games the piece also relives more famous past games such as The Tournament that Nobody Remembers which was held in Kazakhstan’s Ryn Desert back in 1877.

The first half of the work became available today while the second half will be uploaded on the 21st March.

Apparently a giant monster scraped Harry’s scar on with a stick. Sigh…

Harry Potter veteran Daniel Radcliffe appeared at the WhatsOnStage Awards modeling shoulder-length extensions.

The new ‘do’ is for his role in new movie Frankenstein, but still – does he really have to wear it like that all the time?

Frankenstein also stars James McAvoy in the title role, with Daniel playing the role of Igor.

What do you think of his hair? Does it look good or should he have worn a hat?

J.K. Rowling has admitted that as she wrote the Harry Potter books, she actually thought Harry and Hermione would have made a better couple.

“I wrote the Hermione/Ron relationship as a form of wish fulfillment,” she told Emma Watson, who was interviewing her for the Sunday Times. “That’s how it was conceived, really. For reasons that have very little to do with literature and far more to do with me clinging to the plot as I first imagined it, Hermione ended up with Ron.”

We can’t believe it!

JK says she stuck to her original plot line, but felt Harry and Hermione “were a better match”. Emma herself admitted that some fans had questioned the final coupling:

“I think there are fans out there who know that too and who wonder whether Ron would have really been able to make her happy.”

Well, we don’t care what JK says – we think Ron and Hermione were the better match.
