Harry Styles

Twitter has been quick to respond to disturbing footage which emerged in the aftermath of Harry Styles' recent performance at the Hollywood Bowl.

The clip, which shows the 23-year old within arms reach of his audience, has caused a wave of outrage online after it was established that a fan groped Harry's crotch

The singer abruptly returned to the centre of the stage after a sea of hands rushed out to the touch him, and many of his fans and followers have been quick to condemn the actions of those involved.

With the help of the #RespectHarry hashtag, social media users have discussed the double standards at play by those who have dismissed the incident.

"No one should be ever be touched in a sexual way without consent, no one. I’m deeply sorry that happened," wrote one member of the public.

"This is so disrespectful! You have absolutely no right to call yourself a 'fan' after this, it's so messed up," added another.

When Zayn Malik made the decision to leave One Direction back in 2015, fans were stunned that the Bradford-native would choose to turn his back on the biggest boyband in the world.

And while the singer insisted that he simply felt his time with the band had come to an end and a solo career beckoned, rumours have circulated in recent years that all was not well in the 1D camp in the months leading up to Zayn's departure.

Indeed, Louis Tomlinson recently revealed that his late mother had encouraged him to rebuild his friendship with Zayn following his shock departure, saying: "I can’t stand to hold a grudge with anyone. It doesn’t sit with me right."

"I would always see the good in Zayn and also watch him shoot himself in the foot with some of his decisions, but he’s just a little misunderstood," Louis added at the time.

However, it doesn't seem like Zayn shared the same friendship with other members of the group, telling Us Weekly that he didn't expect to see much of Harry after leaving the group.

Speaking of his former bandmates, he said: "We're in touch. Everything is on a civil level."

"It's not the way it used to be, obviously, because we were spending 24 hours a day in the band and now we're growing as individual men, but we still check in."

The 24-year-old singer then turned his attention to Harry, revealing: "To be honest, I never really spoke to Harry even when I was in the band. So I didn't really expect that much of a relationship with him."

We wonder what Harry would say about this one…

Harry Styles stepped in as a last minute replacement on BBC One's Live Lounge today, and of course, being the professional that he is, he absolutely killed it.

After the effects Hurricane Irma made it too difficult for The Killers to travel to Britain, the Sign of the Times singer was on hand to save the day.

Harry performed a number of songs from his debut solo album including his new single, Two Ghosts – a song many fans believe is about the singer's former flame, Taylor Swift.

And, as is typical of any Live Lounge session, he couldn't leave the studio without putting his own twist on one of his favourite tracks – Fleetwood Mac, The Chain.

A bold move to say the least, but we reckon he pulled it off.

Revealing his reason behind the choice, Harry explained that he was “massive fan of them as a band and the music.”

When asked if Stevie Nicks would be happy with his cover of the 1977 hit, Harry replied: “We’ll find out.”

The star also reminisced about the first time he appeared on the legendary radio segment with former band, One Direction, saying how performing solo and just as fun as reforming with a group.

"It’s fun – and that [One Direction Live Lounge] was fun as well. Live Lounge is fun."

He really loves to maintain that air of mystery doesn't he?

Christopher Nolan's highly anticipated Dunkirk will hit Irish cinemas this Friday, July 21.

The critically acclaimed WWII drama features a stellar cast including Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, Kenneth Branagh and of course, acting novice, Harry Styles.

The decision to cast the former One Direction member certainly raised a few eyebrows, however, the film's direction previously defended the move.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Christopher said: “As a director, I have to trust my instincts, my ability to figure out who's the right guy for the part. I'm not too worried about baggage.”

Harry plays the role of Alex, a junior soldiers trying to get home as the enemy forces close in, but it has now emerged that he had no idea what role he was reading for when he auditioned.

The Sign of the Times singer told the Press Association:  “We auditioned together and I was sitting in a cold, lonely room and Fionn came in from a set of something he was working on and there was one other person in there.”

“You had no idea what part you were auditioning for. We didn’t know how many parts there were and they kind of round robin-ed us a little bit, so we did everyone with everyone.”

Harry also admitted that his first day on set with Christopher Nolan was “pretty overwhelming.”

He added: “I think as much as you can imagine what something like that is going to look like, people don’t make that.”

“I don’t know in what other situation someone gets to do what he did so he was pretty amazing to be around.”

“At times the tide would go out and you could see ruins of some of the old boats that were out there and it was moments like that when everyone was aware of how special the place that we were was.”

Unfortunately, it looks like Harry's highly anticipated acting debut could also be the last time we see him on screen.

When asked if he would consider acting again, the star replied, “I might be one and done. I think I’m one and done, to be honest. I think so.”

Dunkirk is released in Irish cinemas on July 21.

Film buffs were baffled when it was revealed that Harry Styles had been cast in Christopher Nolan's highly anticipated, Dunkirk.

The former One Direction member had never acted in a major film before and many wondered if he was the right choice for the role.

Well, director Christopher Nolan has defended his casting, insisting that Harry is actually “perfect” for the position, saying that there were also “raised eyebrows” when he chose Heath Ledger to play the role of the Joker in The Dark Night.

“When I cast Heath Ledger as the Joker, it raised a lot of eyebrows and caused a lot of comment,” he told Entertainment Tonight.

“I have to trust my instincts, and Harry was perfect for this part.”

The filmmaker also claimed that he was not aware of the height of Harry's boyband fame when he cast him in the WWII action flick (though we're not quite sure if we believe that).

The 23-year-old singer plays a soldier in the film about the 1940 evacuation of Allied troops from French shores.

Christopher said it was the singer's charisma that secured him the role.

“I was new to Harry. I mean, I’ve heard his name from my kids, but I wasn’t really familiar with him.”

He added, “What I was seeing was a very charismatic guy who clearly had a truthfulness and a subtlety in his ability to perform as a film actor.”

Dunkirk, which premieres in London this Thursday, July 13, also stars, Cillian Murphy, Tom Hardy, Kenneth Branagh and Mark Rylance.

Katy Perry is the latest start to pay tribute to the victims of Monday's terror attack in Manchester.

During an intimate one-off gig in London's The Water Rats pub, the singer dedicated her song, Part of Me, to the 22 people who lost their lives following the tragic event.

A visibly emotional Katy told the crowd: "This week has been really hard. It sucked. It was hard for you guys and it was hard for me because we all love music.''

''We all listen to the same music. And you think about it and think, 'That's my friend, that's my sister, that's my cousin, that's my brother.'"

''I'm going to sing this next song [Part of Me] for them. They can never take that part away from us ever. Ever."

The moving tribute comes after Miley Cyrus and Harry Styles both dedicated performances to the Manchester victims.

During a heartfelt rendition of Malibu, on The Voice US, Miley said: "I want to dedicate this song to my good friend Ariana Grande and everyone who experienced that horrific attack yesterday. Our hearts are with you."

Meanwhile, Harry spoke about the attack during a small gig in Mexico saying, ''Tonight doesn't feel like a night to celebrate.''

''Last night there was a tragedy in my hometown of Manchester. And I am left with a hole in my heart. I went to my first show in the arena and I've had some of my best experiences in Manchester.''

He added, ''I ask you to please choose love every single day.''

The Sign of The Times singer then held a minutes silence for the victims and their families.
