So, Helen Woods tries (and fails) to DEFEND her remarks about Scarlett
When it comes to speaking her mind, Helen Woods is an absolute pro.
The former escort, who came to public attention after sleeping with Wayne Rooney, has, since then, made a name for herself on reality television, so it's no real surprise she feels equipped to comment on the dynamic currently playing out in the Australian jungle.
But unfortunately for Helen, she underestimated the support Scarlett Moffatt has in the general public, and looks to be backtracking on the remarks she made last week when discussing I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.
"She tries soooo hard to be funny, when in fact she's funny putting zero thought into what she's saying. People who try too hard get on my t*ts, leave the comedy to the experts like Joel," Helen suggested at the time.
Reflecting on the backlash she endured as a result of these comments, the former Big Brother star attempted to clarify her point in her latest Daily Star column.
"Didn't half ruffle a few feathers calling out Scarlett Moffatt's fakery last week, did I? Chill your boots," Helen wrote. "It's obvious she knows she's in with a good chance of winning."
"I actually said I think she's funny when she doesn’t try, but it's the little things that get on my t*ts."
"Like how she clicks when everyone laughs at something she said, so she'll says it again, and then a third time. Okay love, find a new joke, stop recycling ones that got rusty before the omnibus."
Suggesting that the nation's love for Scarlett stems from her ability to shed weight, Helen then added: "I don't know what it is about the great British public, but have you noticed if anyone goes from fat to thin, loses a bit of timber, everyone falls at their feet like they've found the cure for sodding cancer?"
Finishing off the rant, Helen stuck the knife in one last time, adding: "As a nation, we are bleeding soft for the chubster transformation sob stories."
Top-notch clarification, Helen.
