Actress and singer Haylie Duff is engaged.

Haylie, sister of Hilary Duff, posted the news of her engagement on her food blog The Real Girl’s Kitchen this week.

The 29-year-old joked about how her new fiancé Matt Rosenberg popped the question on April Fools’ Day.

“Matt just took me by total surprise and proposed … on April Fool’s Day of all days!” she wrote.

“The moment was genuine and sweet (like him!) and I couldn’t wait to say yes!” she wrote. “We are so excited and happy to share our wonderful news with everyone!”

Matt is an entrepreneur who owns apparel line Subway Tile Shirts. The couple have been together a year and a half.

The celebrity’s little sister Hilary couldn’t wait to share her excitement about the good news on Twitter.

“So happy to not have to keep this news in!! My beautiful sister @HaylieDuff and her amazing boyfriend @Matt_STS are engaged!!!!” she said.

Great news for Hilary Duff fans out there, as the singer has revealed that she is getting back into the music business.

Hilary posted on Twitter a picture of her signing paperwork with the caption: “I! Have! A! Record! Deal!”

Duff  who has recently separated from her husband Mike Comrie hasn’t released an album since 2007.

We can’t wait see what the singer has in store for her next musical chapter.

More than ten years after Lindsay Lohan and Hilary Duff fell out over Aaron Carter, it looks like things might be heating up again!

Aaron has taken to his Twitter account to announce his love for Hilary, first retweeting a message announcing Hilary’s flawlessness and later saying he will “get back to her”.

Aaron even went as far as to call Hilary the love of his life: “Don’t be that stupid douche that loses the love of your life forever.. Like me…”

He continued with: “I’ll spend the rest of my life trying to better myself to get back to her”.

Is Hilary aware of any of this, Aaron?

Hilary recently announced her separation from husband Mike Comrie with whom she has one-year old Luca.

Hilary Duff has split with her husband of three years, Mike Comrie. The 26-year-old and the former ice hockey player are parents to one-year-old cutie, Luca.

On her Twitter account, the actress and singer said; “Mike and I are sitting here, we are so appreciative for all your support and well wishes. Not an easy day but we’re getting thru it together”.

A spokesperson for the couple also released the following statement; “They remain best friends and will continue to be in each other’s lives. They are dedicated to loving and parenting their amazing son, and ask for privacy at this time”.

Not an easy time at all for any family, but it is good to see they are putting their son first and will remain close.
