It would be pretty easy for Kate Middleton to simply perform her princess duties and not do much else but it seems that the Duchess of Cambridge wants to add 'editor' to the CV.

The mother-of-two had some pretty exciting news for her fans yesterday as it was revealed that she would be spending one day as a online web editor.

Announced on the Kensington Palace social media accounts, the Duchess is to spend an entire day guest editing popular newsite and blog, the Huffinton Post.

And it seems that the nifty gig is for a pretty great cause.

"The Duchess of Cambridge will continue her work to highlight the importance of children's mental health when she serves as Guest Editor of the Huffington Post for a day in mid-February," read a statement yesterday.

"The Duchess will use the opportunity to highlight the inspiring work being done by parents, teachers, researchers, and mental health professionals around the country."

With a Masters degree in history of art and her extensive knowledge of the press, we reckon Kate will do an excellent job as an editor.

"We are thrilled that The Duchess of Cambridge is joining the HuffPost UK team for a day as a guest editor," said editor in chief of the publication, Stephen Hull.

"Dealing with mental health issues has been a major editorial focus for us and I'm very excited to be working together on such an important project."
