Remember the last time you were in such dire need of a chocolate fix, you helped yourself to a stranger's KitKat after letting yourself into their car?

Yeah, us neither.

And while there have been times we'd have stepped over our own mothers for half a Malteaser, we generally subscribe to the school of thought that stealing is wrong… even if you do own up to your actions in a note scrawled on a discarded napkin.

Highlighting the gall of some chocaholics, Hunter Jobbins took to Twitter to share a note which he found in his car after he left his vehicle unattended on college campus.

"Saw KitKat in your cup holder, I love Kit Kats so I checked your door and it was unlocked," read the note. "Did not take anything other than the KitKat. I am sorry and hungry."

Sounding worryingly used to this type of carry-on, Hunter tweeted: "Left my car for maybe 15 minutes in front of the dorms and I come back to this. College, man."

We're sorry, but this is not something we'd get over too quickly.

Thankfully, KitKat is with us on this one and swiftly replied to Hunter's post in an effort to make it up to him.

"Who steals someone's Kit Kat?! WHO DOES THAT?! Shoot us a DM and we'll replace it for you," they assured him.

Ya know what? We've had a few stolen on us in the past too…
