All us dog owners do it – raising our arm up with a ball in our hand, slowly reclining, and pretending to throw it.

It’s hard to tell why we get such a sense of amusement when our dogs run off to catch the ball that is still in our hands. They run back looking confused and we know we are getting far more entertainment from this than they are.

It’s definitely safe to say that this particular dog was less than impressed when his owner attempted the popular ruse.

The dog’s owner, 18-year-old Jasmine Milton, spoke to Buzzfeed about her dog Anuko and the amazing affect that he has had on her life.

“He’s very affectionate and loves attention – typical of the husky breed.” Jasmine got Anuko when he was just eight weeks old. “He was then and has always been regarded as a ‘gentle giant,’ despite his looks.”

Jasmine explained how Anuko came into her life when she was suffering from depression. “He’s forced me to go out when all I want to do is lay in bed. He’s made me laugh when nobody else was able to, and now he’s making the rest of the world laugh.”

“He’s my hero and definitely more than just a pretty face!”

Anuko sounds like a truly amazing dog. However, if Jasmine wants him to stay her hero, she better start throwing the ball!
