Utterly inspirational: 10 prizes for 10 SERIOUSLY talented women
It's one of the most stylish celebrations of the year – when a host of the country's most talented businesswomen come together for what is always an inspirational evening.
And last night was certainly no different.

In fact, the annual IMAGE Businesswoman Of The Year Awards – which counts the likes of Katie Jane Goldin, Rachel Kavanagh, and Marissa Carter among its glittering alumnae – was arguably the most distinguished of the event's nine years.

In particular, here at SHEmazing! we were beaming with pride when it was announced that Sheology Digital co-founder and all-round wonder woman Sandra McKenna had scooped the prize for Digital Businesswoman Of The Year.

With some 750 guests in attendance, a total of 10 accolades were up for grabs. Fiona Flannery of DEPFA Bank was awarded with the Management Professional award while Bernadette Kinsella's worldBOX.ie was named Start-Up Of The Year.

Meanwhile, Avril Stanley of Body And Soul was named Creative Businesswoman Of The Year, while head of CPL Resources, Anne Heraty, was given the overall prize to rapturous applause.

Also introduced was the Lifetime Achievement award – last night handed over to former chair of the RTÉ Authority and one of the founding partners at Wilson Hartnell Public Relations, Mary Finan.

The glamorous night was held in association with Samsung, Electric Ireland, No7, AIB, Kuehne + Nagel, Versatile Bathrooms & Interiors and Weir & Sons, and was supported by Newstalk, Independent.ie, Enterprise Ireland and Marks & Spencer. It was held at the DoubleTree By Hilton Hotel Dublin on Burlington Road.
