It seems that Donald Trump is having a bit of trouble securing performers to play at his inauguration on January 20. 

When President Barack Obama was inaugurated in 2009, he was serenaded by Beyonce and Aretha Franklin.

The date is coming up fast, but so far Trump's team has only managed to book 16-year-old opera singer and America's Got Talent contestant Jackie Evancho, along with the Radio City Rockettes and the Morman Tabernacle Choir.

Here are a few of the famous faces who have rejected Trump's offer to perform at the 45th swearing in ceremony of a U.S. president.

The Swedish singer, who found fame with her hit single Lush Life, simply said "I would never do it. "

When the Glee singer was asked whether or not a large fee would encourage him to perform for the president-elect, the star told the BBC “I don’t think I would take the money on that one.”

10. Charlotte Church

Charlotte is he most recent celebrity to decline the presidential invite.

Taking to Twitter, the singer mocked the presidents' research team, and pointed out that a simple Google search would have shown that she does not support the Trump campaign.

"I don’t really want my music to be involved in anything to do with an American election campaign," the icon told The Guardian. 

"I’m British. I’ve met Donald Trump, he was very nice to me, it’s nothing personal, his political views are his own, mine are very different, I’m not a Republican in a million years. Why not ask Ted f***ng Nugent? Or one of those f***ing country stars? They’ll do it for you."

Rebecca said that she would in fact perform at the inauguration – on one condition.

"I've been asked and this is my answer. If you allow me to sing ‘strange fruit' a song that has huge historical importance, a song that was blacklisted in the United States for being too controversial," tweeted the star.

Strange Fruit  a civil rights anthem originally sang by Billie Holiday which highlights the struggles of black American's in the past.

7.  The Mormon Tabernacle Choir 

Only confirmed inauguration performers are the Rockettes dance group, a 16 yr old lassie who won the X Factor & the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

The Morman Tabernacle Choir is one of the few acts Trump's team has managed to secure,

However one member of the group quit after discovering that she would be required to perform at the Republican's inauguration.

After New York Magazine’s Brian Feldman jokingly tweeted that the band would be performing at the inauguration, their manager had a succinct but firm reply: “False.”

5. Garth Brooks

Garth Brooks originally seemed open about performing at the ceremony, telling TMZ, "It's always about serving," he said. "It's what you do." 

However the star later said that he had backed out.

An insider previously told The Wrap that longtime friend to Trump and Las Vegas hotelier Steve Wynn had promised to get Celine Dion to perform at the inauguration ceremony.

He won't be making good on that promise, thanks to Celine's refusal!

3. John Legend

It was rumoured that the singer had been asked to perform at the inauguration, despite never supporting the Republican.

"Creative people tend to reject bigotry and hate. We tend to be more liberal-minded," he told the BBC.

"When we see somebody that’s preaching division and hate and bigotry, it’s unlikely he’ll get a lot of creative people that want to be associated with him.”

The famous Italian tenor originally agreed to perform, but quickly changed his mind and withdrew his acceptance after facing backlash online from fans.

The KISS frontman refused to participate in Trump's inauguration ceremony for political reasons.

"I think celebrities should basically shut their pie hole and do what they do best: act, sing, tap dance, juggle balls, and do all that kind of stuff," he said, in an appearance on Fox Business.

"And then do what an informed citizen does: draw the curtain, vote your conscience, go in there and vote."
