We're all a little bit guilty of using the aul filter a bit too much when we're uploading our snaps to Instagram.

Magazine covers are photoshopped and social media is filled with images that have been tweaked and edited.

Unfortunately, we rarely see what people actually look like.

Thankfully, Urban Decay have taken to Instagram to show un-retouched skin, and it's actually very important.

The brand have chosen models with skin texture, freckles, and actual, visible pores. (Yes!)

The images are beautifully striking and show off Urban Decay's products in all of their glory – without any filters altering them.

The response that the images have gotten on social media says it all – people want to see more of reality when it comes to beauty.

People took to social media to express their delight, writing, ''finally the beautiful reality is revealed. No more plastic photoshop surgery. Way to go!'' and ''I love seeing real skin texture!''

Another person said, ''this is unedited picture is both a delight to look at and a confidence present for all the girls in the world.''

It's about time that major make-up brands are taking steps to highlight people who aren't naturally flawless (which is all of us btw).

Scars, freckles, lines, sun spots, line is what makes us all unique, so maybe it will make people think twice about popping a filter on every time.

And hopefully other brands will follow Urban Decay's footsteps because we think it looks unreaaal!

Strictly Come Dancing 2018 is certainly hotting up and we, for one, are more than ready to get this year's series back on our screens.

The full line-up of this year's cast is almost complete and now BBC Breakfast have confirmed the first celebrity that is definitely taking part this year.

And it is one of our faves…Katie Piper!

According to the Metro, she said, ''it took a while to say yes because it’s something way out of my comfort zone.''

‘The only person I told was my husband and he thought I was joking. I’m worried I’ll be the first to go home!’ she confessed.

So who is the lucky dancer that she has her eye on? Anton?

''I would really like to be partnered with Giovanni, but I have no sway in that at all. So watch out Giovanni, I’m coming for you!’ she laughed.

When asked why she decided to take part in taking to that daunting dance floor every week, she said it was to do with gaining confidence.

''I think it gives a wider message, my past is irrelevant, to be able to go forward and do these things is a bigger wider message. That’s something I want to take forward, and it’s nice to be part of something so light-hearted!''

The show's rehearsals's have already kicked off and we're following the pro dancers on Instagram to see all of the behind the scenes gossip and action.

Katie's fans were so supportive wished her good luck on social media, writing, ''amazing news Katie! You’re going to be amazing!!I Can’t wait to see you on that famous dance floor!''

Another said, ''yes!!!! You’re going to be brilliant. Can’t wait to see your costumes/hair/makeup and dancing of course.''

Strictly starts filming this month, with the rest of the names to be revealed in the next two weeks before the series’ red carpet launch at the end of August.

We will be rooting for Katie – we know she is going to be brilliant.

It's been seven years since one of our favourite movies was released in cinemas – The Help.

Set in America's deep south at the height of civil rights in 1962, the movie explores the role that the black maids had in bringing up white children and one woman, Skeeter (Emma Stone) who writes a book exposing the injustices in her Mississippi hometown.

It seems like it was a movie that stayed with a lot of it's stars as many of them took to social media to celebrate the anniversary of the fantastic flick.

Octavia Spencer, who nabbed an Oscar for her portrayal of hilarious maid Minny Jackson, wrote a lengthy post on instagram, thanking the movie for changing her life.

“What I personally learned from the entire process in preparation for this role was: it doesn't matter if the glass is half empty or half full. What matters is if you own the glass,'' she wrote.

She continued, ''Minny, Aibileen, and all the other maids didn't own the glass. They didn't have the luxury of deciding to be positive (half full) or negative (half empty) as society decided for them. #agencyisTheKey #TheHelp.”

Based on the bestselling novel (if you haven't read it yet, definitely do) by Kathryn Stockett, the movie grossed $216.6 million at the box office and went on to become the first film in almost a decade to top box-office charts for three consecutive weekends and later for 25 days in a row, which was last seen in 1999.

Pretty impressive, right?

Also dedicating a post to the movie was Viola Davis, who played Minny’s fellow maid Aibileen Clark and was also nominated for the best actress Oscar for her role.

She wrote, “it changed our lives. What an experience. My takeaway? It was the deepest, most intimate, joyful time I spent in the company of women. We are powerful together. The audience received the overflow of the love that we had for each other.”

The fans were out in force, showing their support and commenting, 'easily one of the best films I've ever seen. Full of emotion and a true mirror of society.''

Another said, ''this awesome movie that also changed my life. I don't know how many times I've watched it. I love Minny and Aibileen, they inspired me to be better everyday.''

We know what we're watching tonight with a glass of vino – happy anniversary, The Help!

Kelly Osbourne has always been open about her difficult relationship with alcohol and the effect t ahd on her mental health.

She took to Instagram to mark one year of sobriety in a heartfelt post.

She explains that she had hit a bad period in her life last year and had ''give up on everything'' including herself.

She writes, ''life on life’s terms became to much for me to handle. The only way I knew how to function was to self medicate and go from project to project so I never had to focus on what was really going on with me. Something had to give… and it did.''

This past year has been one of the hardest years of my life and I feel it’s time share that with you guys. To cut a long story short things got really dark. I gave up on everything in my life but most of all I gave up on myself. Life on life’s terms became to much for me to handle. The only way I knew how to function was to self medicate and go from project to project so I never had to focus on what was really going on with me. Something had to give… and it did. I have spend the past year truly working on my mind body and soul! I had to take a step out of the public eye away from work and give myself a chance to heal and figure out who the fuck I really am without a camera in my face. I want to take this time to thank my brother @jackosbourne who answered the phone to me one year ago today and picked me up from where I had fallen yet again without judgment. He has held my hand through out this whole process. Thank you to my Mum and Dad for never giving up on me. I love my family with all my heart. Thank you to the friends who have walked the path of sobriety with me I could not have done this with out there love and support. I can’t believe It’s been a year!!! I still don’t know who the fuck I am or what the fuck I want but I can whole heartedly confess that I’m finally at peace with myself and truly starting to understand what true happiness is. I’m sorry if I let anyone down it was just time for me to work on me! I love you guys!

A post shared by Kelly Osbourne (@kellyosbourne) on

However, Kelly went on to say that once she realised this, she did the right thing – taking time out to focus on herself.

''I have spend the past year truly working on my mind body and soul! I had to take a step out of the public eye away from work and give myself a chance to heal and figure out who the f*ck I really am without a camera in my face,'' she said.

The 33-year-old credits her family , including her mum Sharon and dad Ozzy for their part in helping her on teh road to recovery

However it is her brother Jack – who she has a close bond with – that ''held my hand through out this whole process.''

''I want to take this time to thank my brother @jackosbourne who answered the phone to me one year ago today and picked me up from where I had fallen yet again without judgment. He has . Thank you to my Mum and Dad for never giving up on me. I love my family with all my heart. Thank you to the friends who have walked the path of sobriety with me I could not have done this with out there love and support.''

There was a flood of supportive messages across Instagram and Twitter from fans and friends alike offering words of encouragement and love.

One wrote, ''it’s more important to make sure you are healthy. Try not to worry about how fans or so-called-fans or haters react. While it may not mean anything since you don’t know me, I’ll say I’m proud of you for finding some solid ground.''

Another said, ''congrats on 1 yr!! That’s a huge accomplishment & you should be proud of yourself!! Keep fighting the good fight, it will be worth it! You are worth it!''

Kelly has spoken out before about her involvement with drugs and how it all began when she was only 13-years-old.

In an interview with PEOPLE in a 2009 she revealed that following a six-year battle for sobriety that included four visits to rehab, she was was ready to get sober because she had made the choice to do so.

“For me, it was either I was going to die, or I was going to get help,” Kelly said.

“I decided that I wanted to live, that life is worth living and that I have an incredible family and friends and why am I allowing myself to be so miserable?”

We're so delighted for Kel and wish her many more years of sobriety – we know she can do it.

It's that time of year again…the Great British Bake Off will soon be back on our screens!

So, feast your eyes on the delightfully quirky trailer below that Channel 4 have treated us to.

It's definitely carrying on the trend from the 2017 trailer, where an assortment of pastries belted out Paul McCartney and the Frog Chorus’s We All Stand Together.

This time around, the clip features a mix of sad-looking baked goods singing their hearts out to Christina Aguilera's Beautiful.

There is a chocolate hedgehog cake that pleads “Don’t look at me” and a burnt bake is chucked in the bin.

We're LOVING it.

“Bake Off’s back” is the message that the trailers opens with and this time, unlike like year, the GBBO hosts and judges have put in an appearance.

Yes – we get to see the wonderfully wacky Sandi Toksvig, Noel Fielding, Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood again.

According to Radio Times, Channel 4 paid a reportedly staggering £75 million for three years of the show, which nabbed a cool 15 million viewers on the BBC.

Last year’s Bake Off final attracted one of the largest audiences in Channel 4’s 35-year history.

Impressive, wha?

Obviously, social media went into meltdown once the teaser was posted.

Comments ranged from impressed – ''I like the advert – quirky, calorie stuffed nonsense with a nostalgic tune. Very bonkersly British.'' to supportive – '12 nervous bakers awaiting to be announced to the world Good luck to them all. Looking forward to the next series'' to simply plain excited – ''Oh my goodness. This has made my night!''

GBBO has become a telly institution since it launched in 2010 and it has well and truly won a place in the hearts of all it's viewers.

Us included.

One person summed it all up in one tweet: ''that made me emotional I can’t believe it’s been a year already how time flies but I can’t wait for the next series.''

Roll on the end of August and Series Nine!

One of our faveceleb couples have just reached an impressive landmark in their relationship.

Taking to Instagram, Will Smith posted a cute picture of him and his wife Jada, captioned, ''I just realised… This year we’ve been together more than HALF OUR LIVES!''

Jada quipped back, ''can u believe it? A  whole lotta growth and miracles along the way. I'm proud of us."

The pair started dating way back in in '95 and have been married since New Year's Eve 1997. Cuuute.

They also have two kids together, 20-year-old Jaden and 17-year-old I-whip-my-hair-Willow.

The 49-year-old actor recently gave an interview about his marriage to TIDAL’s Rap Radar podcast where he let slip a few of his secrets to a happy marriage.

He said, “we don’t even say we’re married anymore. We refer to ourselves as life partners.''

“There’s no deal breakers. There’s nothing she could do – ever. Nothing that would break our relationship. She has my support till death, you know what I mean and it feels so good to get to that space where you’re not complaining, and worry, and demanding that a person be a certain thing,” he continued.

Wow, is all that we can say –  can we have that type of love plz?

Daddy Dearest

A post shared by Jada Pinkett Smith (@jadapinkettsmith) on

He wasn't the only one opening up about the inner workings of their marriage.

Jada spoke on Sway in the Morning on SiriusXM’s Shade 45 a few weeks ago.

She explained, “here’s the thing about Will and I, it’s like, we are family, that’s never going down! It’s just not! Ever!”

“Because we are family –  take out all that whole marriage, relationship, crap –  at the end of the day, Will and I are family, I’m going to hold him down,” she added.

“It doesn't’t matter, all that relationship and what people think, ideas of a husband and a partner and all that, man, whatever, at the end of the day, that’s a man that can rely on me for the rest of his life, period.”

The comments on Will's post show how their fans are fully supporting their #relationshipgoalz life.

''You guys are a gorgeous and admirable couple….and family. Well done and thank you for being a beautiful and inspirational example '' one gushed.

Another wrote, ''it hasn't always been easy but you guys stuck together and figured it out.''

This just goes to show that being (alarmingly) open about how hard you work at your marriage can work wonders for the relationship.

Wishin' you guys another happy 20 years!

Rihanna has smashed stereotypes, broken down boundaries and blazed trails since she first exploded onto the scene over a decade ago.

So it's no surprise that she's gracing the September issue of British Vogue, and making history while she does it.

In the 102 years since the publication began, there has never been a black cover star for the September issue…until RiRi, of course.

This landmark event is all down to the magazines new editor-in-chief – the insanely talented Mr Edward Enninful.

As he explains in his Editor's letter, ''I always knew it had to be Rihanna.''

The cover and whole photo shoot are bursting with colour and vibrancy thanks to photographer Nick Knight, and we can't not mention the fab 1930's/1990's super-thin brows that Rihanna is rocking.

While we've burnt any photographic evidence that we ever had brows like that, she simply looks unreal.

In the mag, the 30-year-old gives advice on dating and dishes on being a diva and her link to the Royal family.

Edward gushed about his cover star, ''[she is] a fearless music-industry icon and businesswoman, when it comes to that potent mix of fashion and celebrity, nobody does it quite like her. No matter how haute the styling goes, or experimental the mood, you never lose her in the imagery. She is always Rihanna. There’s a lesson for us all in that. Whichever way you choose to dress the new season, take a leaf out of her book and be yourself.''

Vogue USA has also embraced diversity with the appointing of Beyonce as a guest editor.

According to RollingOut, Queen Bey ''will make history at the publication by insisting that Tyler Mitchell, 23, photograph her for the cover. It will be the first time that Vogue has hired a black photographer to shoot its cover during its 126-year history.''

Great news for the iconic magazine – let's hope other publications soon follow suit.

So grab your copy of the stunning September issue on August 3rd – we know we will be!

It's coming up to that time of year again – the end of summer is approaching and that means that the Strictly season is almost upon us!

I love nothing more than curling up on the couch during those autumnal Saturday nights, with the leaves falling outside the widow, the fire roaring away and a large glass of wine in my hand.

In front of Strictly, of course.

So no one was more excited than me when they heard that the official line-up of professional dancers had been announced.

Johannes is a two-time Professional South African Latin Champion and three time South African Amateur Latin Champion, and was a professional dancer on the South Africa version of Strictly for two seasons – and he went to the final both times.

Luba has helped as back-up dancer an choreographer for Strictly for several years, danced in Burn the Floor and is also Giovanni Pernice's ex gf. (Bit awks there.)

Lastly, the 24-year-old ride that is Graziano has spent the last three years touring with Burn the Floor and  is an Italian Latin Champion who represented Belgium at the World Championships.

Hardcore fans might notice that there are one or two noticeably absent pro dancers from the 2018 line-up.

Brendan Cole was let go from the series after last year, and he has since broken his silence by wishing this years cast good luck in a video on his Instagram account.

Just when we thought that the world had run out of ways to braid hair.

Most of us have been taught how to French braid from a young age, especially those of us with sisters.

Then came the fishtail, adding an extra two strands and requiring a higher level of skill.

Plaits have been a great way to rock that Bohemian look or keep our hair out of our faces during a windy day.

But get this…

There are now DNA styled braids.

As if fishtailing wasn’t complicated enough!

DNA braids have gone viral on social media with their intricate spiral shapes and look especially stunning with multicoloured hair.

This is the perfect look for summer festivals!

These plaits are twisted into the signature, helix design of DNA strands, but don’t worry! They are not as complicated as they look.

The creator of the trend, Alex Gaboury, posted a step-by-step tutorial on how to accomplish this amazing hair style.

“Starting off with 3 strands, the middle one being smaller then the others as that will be a stationary strand."

"When taking a strand from left side you are going over that section, under the middle and adding to right side then taking a small section from right side is then brought under and then over the middle section and added to left section."

DNA BRAID TUTORIAL!!! Starting off with 3 strands, the middle one being smaller then the others as that will be a stationary strand. When taking a strand from left side you are going over that section, under the middle and adding to right side then taking a small section from right side is then brought under and then over the middle section and added to left section. Make sure your being consistent with that pattern, the braid naturally starts to twist towards left as you go down so you have to keep it tight while braiding or else it will become more difficult. Small sections are always better, they make the braid look more intricate. It’s always hard to fit a tutorial in 1 minute so I may post slower/longer one on IGTV! She warns people to be ‘consistent with that pattern’ and braid tightly. The spiral will happen naturally as you move further down the plait. "Small sections are always better, they make the braid look more intricate."

This stunning hairstyle has already gained mad popularity.

Alex is a hair guru and has loads of more plait designs on her Instagram.

So, ready to give it a try?

How strong is your Instagram game?

Ever wonder why the picture of your new skirt is raking in the likes, while the snap of your gourmet sambo only received a measly five hearts?

Well, it turns out that some pictures just do better than others, and it has nothing to do with filters or focus.

According to research by social media marketing company Socialbakers, some content is just more popular, and therefore gains more interaction with Instagram users.

A post shared by SHEmazing! (@shemazingie) on

Certain industries receive a lot more attention than others, with more than 30 per cent in the difference between fashion and sport.

Taking the top spot at 38 per cent is fashion, while beauty follows in second place with 21 per cent.

Other industries take a steep drop in interactions, with auto coming in at 11 per cent, retail coming in at six per cent, and sport coming in at five per cent.

Instagram

Coming in dead last is electronics with 4 per cent and beverages with 2 per cent (which we're a bit surprised at because… food porn, amirite?).

We honestly thought there would be more of a mix in here, but it turns out if you want to be Insta-famous, fashion is the way to go.
