We are constantly on the look out for new and wonderful people to follow on Instgram – from beauty gurus and fashion queens, so hilarious animals and fabulous foodies. 

So we thought it would be fun to share with you some of our favourite feeds – starting with some of the amazing foodies we know and love.

1. The Nutri Nuts 

These plant based honeys are possibly the only reason I would ever consider ditching meat. Their Instagram page is flooded with a food diary so full of colour, the food almost looks as good as it tastes. An Insta 'start-up' of sorts, these Irish ladies are just beginning to gain a following, but I have no doubt we'll be seeing big things from them in the future. Give them a follow, you'll be glad you did.

2. Thomas Joseph 

Okay so this fine fella happens to work alongside Martha Stewart, so needless to say, he knows his shit. He's the Director of Food Development at Martha Stewart Living, and has an Instagram feed (optimum word) full of the most delicious look food you've ever seen. We need to try that cauliflower soup, FYI. 

 

 

roasted cauliflower soup w. almonds, capers, chives and creme fraiche. recipe -> toss one large head of cauliflower (cut into small florets) with olive oil, salt and pepper. spread evenly on baking sheet and roast at 450 degrees until florets are slightly brown and tender. meanwhile, sauté one large onion (chopped) in a few tablespoon of butter – i like to get them brown bc more color = more flavor. add two quarts of chicken stock (you can substitute veg), one large russet potato (peeled and chopped), thyme leaves (about two tablespoons) and two peeled garlic cloves. bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer. add cauliflower. season with salt and pepper. cook until potatoes are super tender and start to fall apart. blend. i like to use a #vitamix but and immersion blender works too. season w salt and pepper. garnish with toasted almonds, capers, chives and creme fraiche or sour cream

3. Amelia Rampe

Amelia is a New York based foodie, who loves eating in restaurants just as much as she loves putting together her own delicious creations. What do we love about her? She just loves food, in all shapes and forms. Carbs, meat, veggies – anything that Amelia feels like eating, she bloody well will. A fantastic relationship with food.

4. Evergreen Kitchen

Listen, I am a hardcore carnivore, but every now and then, a little vegetarian meal tickles my fancy. Usually, I get my veg-spiration from the evergreen kitchen – an Instagram duo who love colourful healthy food almost as much as they love eachother. 

 

Serve these BBQ “Pulled Pork” Nachos and watch them disappear in 0.15286 seconds fla! Super easy and crazy good. All it takes is a can of jackfruit, seasonings and BBQ sauce; then pile it on tortilla chips with all the toppings. The “pulled pork” looks so much like the real stuff it’s almost scary(you’ve been warned). Recipe link in profile! If it’s your first time cooking jackfruit, you can find the cans at Asian grocery stores (and sometimes the Asian section of a traditional grocer). OK, so by now you'll know that the girls here at SHEmazing HQ are avid Potterheads.

Coined by Revelist, the colour blend consists of a gold, yellow and auburn tones all expertly layered throughout the hair.

We all have a few people following us on Instagram who we would really rather they weren't.

Whether it's our ex's new girlfriend, our distant cousin who comments on everything, or our mum's best friend, sometimes you just don't want certain people creeping on our feed.

This puts us in an awkward, online position. 

How does one get someone to unfollow you, but without them knowing? 

Luckily, Instagram is here to fix that issue without us having to resort to blocking particular people from our pages. 

If you have a private page, this will be easy, but if not you can just change you page to private temporarily and follow the same method.

So, once you're on private, go to your profile page. 

Tap on your followers option, and once you're in, look for the three dots icon beside your followers. 

Find the offending follower, click the dots beside their name, and select Remove from the options menu. 

Simples, and even if they do discover that they're no longer following you, they'll probably think they accidentally unfollowed you the last time they were having a creep.

In November of last year, Chrissy Teigen announced that she was expecting her second child with husband, John Legend.

And earlier today, she went one step further by revealing the sex of her unborn child in a move which has delighted social media users.

Taking to Instagram six hours ago, the model and author announced that she and John will be welcoming a son into their lives.

"Mama and her baby boy," Chrissy wrote alongside a photo which shows the pregnant mum-of-one tenderly touching her bump at last night's Grammy Awards.

The upload, which has amassed more than 843,000 likes in mere hours, has been inundated with congratulations from fans and followers.

"You’re radiant and every mother to-be’s dream," wrote one Instagram user. "All the best of luck and love in you’re birthing and continuing your beautiful family. You deserve nothing less."

"She must be the most glamorous pregnant woman in ever!" added another.

32-year-old Chrissy, who married John in 2013, welcomed baby Luna in 2016 after battling fertility issues.

Speaking to Us Weekly, Chrissy confirmed that she and John took the same route when conceiving their second child, saying: "We did the IVF thing again. We put it in, we knew what was going on. So, that was easy. But we’re really excited."

Thousands of people are reporting that both Instagram and Facebook are currently experiencing technical difficulties. 

The outage hit users in the US and Western Europe, including the UK, Spain, France and Germany. 

43pc of Facebook users who reported problems to Down Detector, a website which tracks web page crashes, said that they were experiencing a complete outage. 

41pc on Instagram users had a similar experience, being unable to log in to the social media app. 

Some also reported that Netflix was also down, including users in the UK and Ireland.

45pc of those reporting issue said that they could not connect to the streaming service.

With the three main pillars of modern society out of order, what on earth did people do? Well, they mostly turned to Twitter for solace, of course. 

Thousands have took to the social media site, which has not reported any issues this evening, to vent their frustrations.

Luckily, the issues seem to slowly be rectifying themselves.

One thing we love about Instagram is the fact that we can creep away on peoples pages to our hearts content, and the only way we could get caught is if we accidentally like a picture (morto).

However, Instagram is changing things up when it comes to it's DM feature. 

Until now, people could trade direct messages back and forth without the pressure of having to respond to a DM if they would rather just have a stalk of their favourite pages and then leave the app. 

However, those glory days are behind us. Instagram has introduced a 'Last Active' feature, which will allow your DM correspondent to see when you were last online.

So let's say they messaged you five hours ago and you've been 'Active Now' for the past hour and a half? Not ideal for privacy. 

This is an attempt by Instagram to build up it's messenger service to rival the likes of WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger. 

The feature is automatically enabled, but the good news is, you can turn it off pretty easily

1. Head to the Settings button (beside Edit Profile in your bio).

2. Click in, and start scrolling.

3. Quite close to the bottom, you will find the Show Activity Status toggle.

4. Use the toggle to turn off the feature

However, if you were planning on turning off your status but looking at other people's, Instagram isn't going to let that happen. 

If you turn off your feature, you will no longer be able to see anyone else's Last Active status. Cheeky.

Love it or hate it (although why you'd hate it is beyond us), there's no denying the phenomenon that is Stranger Things.

Currently in its second season, the Netflix original has amassed a loyal (and slightly obsessed) fanbase since it burst onto our screens back in 2016.

In fact, some people are so obsessed they'd go as far as to enlist the help of Twitter in order to share their high school photos with their favourite cast member.

Take Californian student, Damaris, for example.

She reached out to David Harbour, who plays Police Chief Jim Hopper in the show, and asked him how many retweets she would need to have him pose alongside her in the school snaps.

When David replied 25,000 under the condition he could wear the school sweatshirt and carry a trombone, Damaris got to work rallying the good folk on Twitter.

And it worked.

"Voted most likely to hijack someone’s high school senior photos 24 years later," David wrote in a post which has amassed 386,000 likes in less than a day.

"Many thanks to @postydamaris and her kind family and @iamtommygphotography for making a dream come true and proving my high school classmates right!"

Following a rousing speech at Sunday night's Golden Globes Awards which sought to highlight the importance of giving a voice to the marginalised, Oprah Winfrey has found herself at the centre of much discussion this week.

"I want all the girls watching here, now, to know that a new day is on the horizon!" Oprah told viewers.

"And when that new day finally dawns, it will be because of a lot of magnificent women, many of whom are right here in this room tonight, and some pretty phenomenal men, fighting hard to make sure that they become the leaders who take us to the time when nobody ever has to say "Me too" again."

While many felt Oprah's speech reflected her devotion to social movements like #MeToo and #TimesUp as well as a desire to run for president in the 2020 campaign, others weren't quite as impressed.

Heidi Klum's ex-husband, Seal, took to Instagram this week to vocalise his disdain for Oprah, suggesting that her speech was nothing more than a bombastic attempt to conceal the fact she was always aware of Harvey Weinstein's predations.

Seal uploaded two images of the star in the company of Weinstein with a caption which read: "When you have been part of the problem for decades, but suddenly they all think you are the solution."

"Oh I forgot, that's right…..you'd heard the rumours but you had no idea he was actually serially assaulting young stary-eyed actresses who in turn had no idea what they were getting into," Seal added. "My bad. #SanctimoniousHollywood."

Seal's post was, unsurprisingly, met with a mixed response, with some followers agreeing with the singer and others questioning Seal's own past.

"So tired of celebrities spinning things to make them look good! If she knew years ago she should have stepped up and been a true icon," agreed one Instagram user.

"Everybody in Hollywood posed in pics with this monster. Like we haven’t heard things about you. Ugh. The nerve," wrote one follower – a sentiment which was echoed by model Chrissy Teigen.

"Hmm. Let’s just say we’ve all heard things about each other, haven’t we?” Chrissy wrote.

Last night, Seal returned to Instagram to defend his decision to post the message about Oprah and went on to clarify his stance on the situation.
