If you are only just beginning your Game of Thrones journey, then you may want to sit this one out as it does – we repeat, it does – contain a spoiler from season 3.

But for those of you who are fully up to date, or at the very least, knee-deep in season 4, you will know that Theon, who is played by Alfie Allen, lost a very important body part at the hands of Ramsay Snow.

Now, that we're all clear on that front, let's introduce Game of Thrones fan, Olivia Bowes, who recently uploaded a shot of herself with Alfie.

With a nod to Theon's mutilation, Olivia wrote: "Unlike Theon I grew some balls and asked for a photo."

A pretty slick caption for a pretty exciting moment… if only it were true.

So, it turns out that Alfie spotted the upload (and its caption) and decided to put Olivia's followers straight on something.

"Actually your Mum asked for you," he replied in a move which no doubt had Olivia reaching for the ice.

"F*CKING SAVAGE IM SCREAMING," replied one Instagram user in the wake of Alfie's clapback while another added: "I felt that burn from the end of the earth and came here to witness this wonder."

"Wow. It's like Olivia is the wall and Alfie just come in like Viserion and…burn!" joked another.

Better luck next time, Olivia.

When Instagram introduced the new albums feature, which allows you to upload multiple pictures at once in a carousel, we were pretty delighted.

Now our Insta followers can be subjected to up to 10 of our selfies at once, mwuhahaha.

However, people soon became irritated that pictures which do not fit into the regular insta picture frame could not be made portrait or landscape, like they can when just uploading one image.

Instagram clearly took note, as the social platform has installed a new feature which allows the images to take these forms.

However, there is a bit of a catch.

All of the shots in the album have to have the same format, so they have to all be square, all be portrait or all be landscape.

You're not able to mix and match different image formats in the one album.

At least it's a step in the right direction, right?

Install your Insta update to check it out for yourself.

If you are a fan of lurking in the Beauty Instagram hash tags, you may have spotted one distinct trend taking over the brow's of MUA mavens the world over.

While we're still recovering from the over-plucked era that was the 00s (seriously, we've only recently rediscovered our arches), some beuaty gurus are literally throwing shapes with their brow looks.

Obviously this trend isn't meant to be taken seriously, and frankly we're kind of impressed by how they look, however, we have many questions.

A post shared by MLMA (@melovemealot) on

Primarily, how the hell does one achieve a squiggle brow?

Well, according to a tutorial by Ashlee Richardson, the look isn't actually do difficult to achieve.

Ashlee recommends using a transition shade to block out the parts of uor brows which need to be camouflaged, and then use your brow pencil to sketch out the squiggle, following the line of your natural brows.

A post shared by Tx(@robbinosa) on

Finish with a swipe of brow gel to direct your brows with the squiggle shape.

Others are using Photoshop tools to acquire the look just for Instagram.

We're loling thinking of the look our brow girl would give us if we asked her to give us squiggle brows.

From glitter lips to glitter boobs, the beauty world has become somewhat obsessed with this sparkly substance.

Snap-savvy Instagrammers are always looking for ways to build on current trends in an attempt to create the ultimate double-tap worthy shot, and now it seems they have finally found a way to up the glitter game.

A post shared by PE✪PLETALK.RU (@peopletalkru) on

Perhaps not the most practical beauty trend we've ever seen, the process involves covering your tongue in brightly-coloured glitter, and well, taking a photo before you must inevitable rinse it off.

According to The Independent, Australian make-up artist, Jacinta Vukovic, is the mastermind behind the movement, though it was never her intention.

See, it seems the whole trend started after Jacinta accidentally covered her tongue is sparkles while trying to create a glittering hot pink lip.

Of course Jacinta was not the first to bring this bizarre beauty trend to light but the post definitely added fuel to the fire with beauty enthusiasts across the world putting their own spin on the out-there look.

However, concerns have been raised around health and safety, because you know, swallowing tiny pieces of reflective particles can't be good for you.

Probably not worth it for an Instagram post, really.

A Texas-based beauty blogger has received huge criticism from cosmetic surgery experts after she chose to live stream her breast augmentation on Instagram this week.

Ashley Devonna is notoriously open with her 200,000+ YouTube subscribers, so when she decided to go under the knife, the 24-year-old felt she needed to document the process on her various social media accounts.

“I’m going to get a breast augmentation, but not just that, we’re going to stream it live on Dr. Khan’s Instagram page,” she told her followers.

Ashley, who admits she is fascinated by cosmetic procedure videos, has said she hopes the footage will educate and inform women who might be considering plastic surgery.

The live stream was approved by her surgeon, Dr Farah Khan, who insisted it was the right move for her patient.

“It’s a new experience,” she told Pix11.

“Nowadays we live our lives on social media and I think especially the younger generation, that’s how they communicate and they want to be open with their friends, their family, their followers.”

However, according to The Independent, some experts in the UK have condemned Ashley's decision, saying that most surgeons use this type of coverage for marketing purposes.

Consultant Plastic Surgeon and BAAPs Council Member Afshin Mesahebi told the newspaper, “As surgeons we use live streaming for training purposes all the time but something like this doesn’t give the whole picture and the magnitude of the surgery and risks associated with implants.”

“Unfortunately most of these patients are given freebies and surgeons are simply doing it for nothing more than marketing purposes.”

I just want to spend the rest of my life laughing!

A post shared by Ashley D. (@msashleydevonna) on

Award-winning cosmetic doctor, Dr Esho, of the ESHO Clinic added: “For millennials, the main source of information today is social media platforms.”

“If it is presented in a form which shows the benefits as well as the risks, if it is informative in terms of educating the patient and those who are interested in the procedure, then it is a very useful tool.

“However, if the individual’s intention is to sensationalise and simply create a buzz for themselves, this is trivialising a serious procedure which can potentially put many people at risk.”

These concerns were echoed by some of Ashely's followers, however the beauty blogger hit back, admitting that she doesn't let the negative comments get her down.

"It’s the business. The negative comments pay me the same as the positive ones."

So, if there's one thing we can all agree on it's that Chrissy Teigen is the human embodiment of pure sunshine, and while no one if perfect, she comes pretty damn close.

But, even the undisputed queen of Twitter feels insecure from time to time.

The US model often uses social media to speak candidly about her own struggles, and now, during a recent speech at Beautycon LA, she has revealed there are times when she cries to her husband, John Legend, about the shape of her body.

“There have been times I've cried to John, where I felt like I would never have 'that' body. Everyone has a butt now and curves and a little waist and that's not me … I'm jealous of those bodies and I want that, but I also feel like I really want to be cool with my body because of people like you guys,” she said.

Chrissy admitted she often feels “insanely inadequate” after comparing herself to other women on Instagram.

"My old ass will go on social media, and I will look at the Photoshopping, Facetuning, and the apps — and everything that goes into creating what is now a hit Instagram photo.”

Chrissy's comments prove that even supermodels feel insecure and that no good can come from comparing yourself to images on social media which have been enhanced or altered in some way.

A post shared by chrissy teigen (@chrissyteigen) on

She went on to suggest that instead of picking out our so-called “flaws”, we should celebrate our bodies, stretch marks and all.

"I've been on shoots, I've been naked-to-naked with people, and I will say that everyone has a stretch mark. Every time I see that other stretch mark, I'm like, 'Girl, yes!' It makes me feel better, and if more of us did that kind of sh*t, how many people would feel better?"

Yes Chrissy!

As the viewing public geared up for the latest series of Celebrity Big Brother, there seemed to exist a general consensus that as contestants go, Girls Aloud member, Sarah Harding, was up there with some of the most high-profile.

Bearing that in mind, it's perhaps no surprise that the singer's time in the house has been under serious scrutiny from fans of the show, and it's fair to say that the former popstar has garnered her fair share of headlines in a relatively short period of time.

The latest controversy to surround Sarah is the suggestion that she 'slut-shamed' Fifth Harmony in a conversation with fellow housemate, Chad Johnson.

Claiming that the Work From Home singers 'wear next to nothing' on account of the fact 'sex sells', the 35-year-old came in for a barrage of criticism from fans of the US girl band.

And now Instagram is fairly sure that Sarah's former band mate, Nicola Roberts, has shaded the Celebrity Big Brother contestant in a recent social media post.

Sporting a cap emblazoned with the caption 'Women in Music Are Dangerously Underestimated', Nicola added her own message, writing: "And that's why we have to support each other."

And that's why we have to support each other.

A post shared by Nicola Roberts (@lilcola) on

Nicola's timing with her post provided her followers with ample opportunity to suggest that the 31-year-old was aiming her message at her former bandmate.

"Good for you Nicola for being against slut shaming unlike Sarah who slut shamed on TV," wrote one of Nicola's followers.

"Yes women empowerment," added another. "No slut shaming here."

However, not everyone is impressed by Nicola's post, with some fans of the singer berating her for not showing Sarah more support during her stint on the controversial reality show.

"This is insensitive, you should be supporting Sarah," wrote one while another added: "No support for Sarah.. Good call NOT… Team Sarah."

We wonder if Cheryl will throw her a like…

Meet Jessi Kneeland – the body image coach who is on a self-described mission “to help women learn how to accept and embrace their bodies (and their authentic selves).”

Her Instagram is packed with advice and encouraging words as well as hundreds of empowering photos and to date, has garnered over 17,000 followers.

However, it seems that no matter how confident you may be about your body, the trolls will always have something to say.

Last week, Jessi shared two photos in which she proudly displayed the celluite (or “fancy fat” as she likes to call it) on her upper legs.

She challenged her followers to look beyond what society had taught them, noting that “there is absolutely nothing objectively true about statements like 'cellulite is ugly' or 'perfectly smooth and toned is more attractive.' Those are just examples of a social reality we pass along to each other…”

Oh hey there, have you met my fancy fat? It's these pretty dimples along the back of my legs and butt. Some people think fancy fat is "bad," and will try to convince you to get rid of yours, but we know better. Fancy fat is just a natural, healthy, built-in decoration. (Or at least that's how I choose to see it.) # Note: There is absolutely nothing objectively true about statements like "cellulite is ugly" or "perfectly smooth and toned is more attractive." Those are just examples of a social reality we pass along to each other so often, that our brains start to believe they must be true, they're "natural," or they're "just the way things are." # But they're not. We can change the way we see things by interrupting those old thoughts, challenging and examining them, noticing how they affect us, changing what we expose ourselves to, and finding new beliefs that affect us in a more positive way. # Which exactly what I've done by re-casting my so-called embarrassing cellulite in the role of beloved Fancy Fat. # PS my fancy fat is more visible in some lighting or poses, and less visible in others. These 2 photos were taken when I happened to notice it popping recently in the mirror at my gym.

A post shared by Jessi Kneeland (@jessikneeland) on

For reasons unknown, one male follower somehow took offence to this post (??) and took to the comment section to make his feelings known.

He wrote: “Spin it anyway u want, having unhealthy body fat like that is not natural, it's because u eat or use to eat shitty food and ur body has stored it! Stop eating sh*t food and burn more calories that u put in ur face and it will go away.”

Now, Jessi could have simply deleted the comment or blocked the user, but instead she decided to call him out by posting his words in a completely seperate instagram post – alongside a photo of her looking hot AF her a bra and underwear might we add.

She wrote: “LOLOLOLOL this comment was left by a hater, on the cellulite photo I posted yesterday. This photo was taken this morning. Sorry dude, I didn't realize I have cellulite because I'm just TOO FAT!!”

“Don't worry though. Me and my 'unnatural, unhealthy body fat' are just gonna be over here helping women understand that there is NOTHING wrong with cellulite (or anything else about their bodies!) and that trolls like you are ignorant and uneducated. Also I'll keep spinning my body as 'none of your damn business.' Because, yeah. That. Lolllll #boybye.”

Bravo Jessi. Handled like true pro!

At this stage we all know that Instagram is not the most reliable of sources if you're looking for raw photography.

In fact, it's probably the last place anyone of us would look if we wanted an authentic depiction of a person or a place, and yet time and again we find ourselves coveting the lives of others as presented in a carefully-filtered upload.

Eager to remind us that something as innocuous as a good pose can alter your perception of a person, fitness blogger, Lauren Tickner, uploaded three shots taken 30 seconds part which prove that the images we are exposed to on Instagram are not a genuine depiction of reality.

I wish someone would look at me the way I look at my @pescience shaker…‼️I was 'supposed' to train today. But instead… I LISTENED to my body. I am taking a rest day It won't ruin my progress, and this caption explains why(P.S I uploaded a new YouTube vid this morn, the link is in my bio) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I've been feeling exhausted, sluggish, grumpy… and just not myself the past few days! I have been EXTREMELY irritable, overeating every evening… and it occurred to me last night: it's because I am so goddam exhausted! This has caused both my stomach and my anxiety to flare up, too⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ‼️I know that this extra rest day will NOT damage my progress. Why? …OVERALL TRAINING VOLUME Sure, I usually train 4 days per week. But this week, I'll train 3 time & it won't ruin my progress whatsoever! The most important thing throughout the week is total training volume: if you are still hitting the reps and sets at the weight you 'should' be hitting (with good form), you WILL progress, despite how you choose to split that up.This is the beauty of the #StrengthFeedGuide: it teaches you how to do this & gives you options for training programmes (yep, three programmes in one guide): you can get it at: www.strengthfeed.comIt also teaches you HOW to create your OWN training plan (aka you get to select from over 100 exercises & slot them in, in the most optimal way) Sunday I will be sending out three days worth of workouts taken from the guide for you to try, if you're on my email list! Sign up by swiping up on my story! I LOVE training so incredibly much – it is why and how I have been doing this whole 'fitness' thing for so long. It truly is my passion, as well as helping others. However, at this moment in time, I don't have the option to take a nap or sleep a little longer at night: I get home at around 7:30PM. After cooking, eating, doing any chores (washing up, tidying), it's time for me to sleep so I'm not tired for work the next day! I wake up at 5AM to train, before I get the train at 7ish…so, my only option was to ditch the gym, jump out of bed& dash to the train. I feel SO much better for it #StrengthFeed

"POSTURE changes EVERYTHING! Posing is SO powerful: what you see of people on social media is NOT how they look 24/7 in real life!" she began in a post which has been liked more than 32,000 times.

"I know that if I arch my spine and pop my hip, I can make my stomach look flatter & my butt look bigger. Of course, some people DO have big bums & flat stomachs."

"Similarly, slouching and 'letting go' of my stomach after a big meal makes it appear more bloated: it's just how it is!" Lauren continued. "Tucking your spine will make your butt look flatter: you can literally make your body look SO different, just by standing differently!"

I receive all of these comments all the time, but thankfully for the more negative ones, I have thick skin. I used to even say these things to myself BUT now I have learned that if I see a 'bad' photo of myself, it is OKAY!!!!! It doesn't matter!!! As we see here, angles and posture are eveeeerything! Similarly, IDGAF if other people want to comment mean things, because I have learned to accept my body and love it for what it is. Your body is so incredibly powerful: give it some credit I also know how to pose to make myself look 'best'. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I don't care how 'overdone' people say these photos are: I think they are SO important. I sometimes still stumble across a photo and think "agh, I wish I looked like that…" BUT, they uploaded that photo for a REASON! They probably took 10000 others and chose that ONE photo. (I know I'm guilty of taking looooads before having ma money shot) PLUS, for all I know, they photoshopped that photo! Take EVERYTHING with a pinch of salt! #StrengthFeed – EDIT: this photo is to prove a point- sometimes one may see a photo of themselves and think 'agh, I hate how I look' …but then you have to remember that you may just be MOVING & caught off guard, so your body isn't looking 'normal'! Three years ago, all I cared about was 'fitness'.. I would go to the gym for 2.5 hours every single day, eat only food that were my definition of 'clean' (v limited handful of foods), and neglect my friends and family in order to pursue my unrealistic goals. I wanted to reach a number on the scale that was simply unrealistic for my body (it was 8 stone, and in the pic on the left I was around that). On the right, I'm almost a whole stone more than that. But weight is irrelevant, it's the mindset shift that matters. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ …what I refused to admit was that my idea of 'fitness' was making me unfit. Mentally. I was lying to myself and telling myself that what I was doing was making me better, making me stronger. But it was making me weak and frail, not only physically. I didn't understand how people loved themselves and I said things to myself that I would never DREAM of saying to anyone else. My panic syndrome was awful and debilitating, causing me to even have to leave school early almost every single day. (This is something I still struggle with today but VERY rarely). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I was constantly comparing myself to others (especially my 'idols' on social media). But remember, you can't compare your chapter 3 to anyone else's chapter 300. Let alone a whole different book! I have been weight training consistently for the entire time between these two photos, and I have learned a LOT along the way. I have now realised that you CAN eat a LOT and maintain an athletic frame – your body NEEDS the fuel for training! I now track macros and eat 2500 calories per day, and train just 4 days per week!#StrengthFeedGuide #StrengthFeed #FitnessJourney

The internet went into overdrive this week when Amber Heard and her boyfriend Elon Musk called it quits on their relationship.

The pair remained quiet about their reasons for splitting, but now Elon has given some insight into the situation.

'Long distance relationship when both partners have intense work obligations are always difficult, but who knows what the future holds.'

'Elon is working day and night. This is his life and he loves it. He is in no position to be in a relationship right now and ended it.'

Bad new guys – those trendy copper mugs popping up all over your Instagram feed could actually wreack havoc on your insides.

The Moscow Mule, a cocktail made from a refreshing mix of vodka, ginger beer and lime juice, is fast becoming one of the must-try beverages of 2017.

Often served in a picture-perfect copper-coloured mug, the drink has become a favourite among millenials looking to grab the perfect Insta-worth snap.

However, concerns over the safety of the drinking vessel have emerged after experts at a US state department warned that copper and copper alloys can be poisonous when consumed.

It seems that when these metals come in contact with substances with a pH level lower then six, copper may leak into the liquid contained in the mug and thus be accidentally consumed by the cocktail drinker.

"High concentrations of copper are poisonous and have caused food borne illness," the statement explains.

"When copper and copper alloy surfaces contact acidic foods, copper may be leached into the food."

However, all hope is not lost.

All cocktail loving Instagrammers will be happy to know that a copper-coloured mug is safe to drink from if it is lined with another metal, such as nickel or stainless steel.

Of course, it's important to check before you start to drink and if in doubt, opt for the much safer (albeit, not nearly as beautiful) classic glass tumbler instead.
