Sayonara Unicorn Frappé, there's a new drink in town and it might just be the most Instagrammable yet.

Last week, Disney World's Animal Kingdom opened an entire section dedicated to the 2009 movie Avatar.

Sure, the rides and attractions are great, but it's a certain iced drink that has really grasped the imagination of the public.

Say hello to The Night Blossom, a layered iced drink made with apple and pear flavoured limeade and topped with a generous helping of passion fruit boba balls.

The colourful drink reportedly tastes like sour Skittles and is made in the Pongu Pongu Lounge, in the parks new Avatar themed section.

Instagram has been flooded with snaps of the beautiful drink and every post makes us more envious than the last.

Just look at it.

bye bye frozen violet lemonade, say kaltxì to the night blossom.

In an industry utterly obsessed with body image, it's hardly surprising that the incessant scrutiny young actresses find themselves under on a daily basis can eventually take its toll.

Having clearly had her fill of ill-advised remarks pertaining to her appearance, Sarah Hyland decided to address the narrative before highlighting the misconceptions which have been made in relation to her size.

I hear all the kids are wearing chokers now a days. #criticschoiceawards

A post shared by Sarah Hyland (@therealsarahhyland) on

The 26-year-old Modern Family star took to Twitter yesterday to both silence her critics and provide her fans with an insight into the struggles she has endured over the last 12 months.

"I'd like to address something that has not only been brought up on Twitter, but has been HEAVILY discussed by all of you in my Instagram comments. That something is my weight."

Acknowledging that she generally seeks to ignore the dialogue, Sarah admitted that she felt compelled to address it this time around.

"Here goes… I haven't had the greatest year. Maybe one day I'll talk about it but for now I'd like my privacy. I will say this year has brought a lot of changes and with that physical changes.I have been told that I can't work out. Which for me is very upsetting."

Devastated that she has been prevented from training, Sarah continued: "I am not a fan of 'being skinny'".

Having been told to 'eat a burger' and that her 'head was bigger than her body', Sarah said she agreed with her critics, writing: "No one's head should be bigger than their body but considering I've basically been put on bed rest for the past few months, I've lost a lot of muscle mass."

While Sarah is determined to return to full health, she insists that she refuses to let the public's insensitive remarks get to her, writing: "I know that when I get clearance, I will be able to get back to the strong, lean and fabulous self I know I can be."

And in a move which illustrates Sarah's understanding of her vulnerability in the public eye, she concluded by writing: "My self confidence is not rendered from your comments."

"I will always be too fat. I will always be too skinny. I will never have enough curves to be called a real woman, And I will always be a slut for wearing a push up bra."

When you don't feel well you're supposed to post vain pictures of yourself correct?

A post shared by Sarah Hyland (@therealsarahhyland) on

Finishing by encouraging her fans to err on the side of positivity, she wrote: "Smile, Laugh, Love, Be happy. Support your peers. Love. Work hard. Be confident. Love."

Sarah's post has been inundated with supportive comments from fans who encouraged the actress to stay positive in spite of her poor health.

"You're such an inspiration! Sending positive vibes your way and a quick recovery," wrote one.

Sarah, who rose to fame playing Hayley Dunphy in the smash hit sitcom, had a kidney transplant in 2012.

'Alien Yoga' is the latest fitness trend to take over our Instagram feeds and it's as odd as it sounds.

Videos of the bizarre fitness technique have been popping up all over the image sharing site and they've been met with some mixed reviews.

Also know as Nali, the traditional yoga is practiced by exhaling fully, isolating the abdomen and pulling it under the ribcage.

The muscles are then contracted and released in a side-to-side motion.

Completely confused?

Check out the video below.

I don't have much rhythm, but I think I caught the beat there for a second #aloyoga #beagoddess #nauli

A post shared by aubry wiltcher (@aubrymarie) on

The technique is thought to promote digestion and strengthen the core, and according to Nauil.org, can be mastered by a person of any fitness level.

According to The Independent, 'Alien Yoga' can be broken down into four key movements.

First up – Uddiyana Bandha, an abdominal lock achieved by emptying your lungs and pulling the abdomen under the ribcage.

Closely followed by Madhyana Nauli, Vama Nauli and Daksina Nauli which isolate contraction of the central, left and right abdominal muscles.

Although there are a number of health benefits associated with the practice, experts have warned that it should only be attempted in the presence of a qualified yoga instructor.

So, next time you're in a yoga class, why not ask for a little demonstration of 'Alien Yoga'.

So, summer may have only just begun, but it's never too early to start thinking about Halloween inspiration right?

Meet Mimi Choi, the Vancouver-based beauty guru taking makeup artistry to the next level.

The 31-year-old uses her incredible makeup skills to create a whole host of intricate optical illusions that'll make you look twice.

“My face is a blank canvas where I can practise my art,” Mimi told Metro.

She creates her masterpieces by using black eyeliner and clever angles to create negative space.

“I hope that my strange creativity can inspire people to think outside the box", she writes on Instagram.

Been doing makeup in front of this mirror inside of my bathroom for more than 3 years now (10+ years if you count those university years when I did my own clubbing makeup, etc) No fancy lights, backdrop or even a chair — I've always enjoyed standing in that little gap between my sink and my toilet and painting away for hours. I like tight spaces, it makes me feel secure. Sometimes I have music on, sometimes my cat sits in the sink and falls asleep while watching me… It's therapeutic. I'll be moving to a new place soon which means that I will have to adapt to a new painting environment. It's both scary and exciting at the same time because I've grown so attached to my old makeup spot. But I'll adapt and maybe it will finally motivate me to invest in better equipments. _________________________ "INCEPTION" #makeup illusion inspired by a photoshopped image of Paul Ryan. Used @nyxcosmetics @nyxcosmetics_canada pencil and liquid eyeliners plus matte eyeshadows for this look. Lashes are all @houseoflashes "Knockout" falsies except for the littlest ones that I had to paint on. All hand-painted, took 3 hours.

The makeup artist formerly worked as a school teacher but says she wasn't satisified by the job and needed a new challenge.

“It felt like it was too late to change my career, but my mum was so supportive that I soon realised it was ok”, she told the Metro.

Blogger Conf 2017 kicked off today, and a whole host of bloggers and industry insiders joined forces to discuss the ins and outs of building your brand.

Eimear Varian-Barry was on the impressive agenda to discuss her success on Instagram, and how she has carved out her own stand-out space on the photo sharing site.

According to the veteran Instagrammer, there is a place on social media for everyone, and there are a few simple ways to make the most of your feed.

  • Be real

According to Eimear, people are over highly edited, curated content, and now want a more authentic experience.

Her advice is to never edit your face, and be mindful of using obvious filters or editing techniques, although teeth whitening is the exception.

  • Theme

Eimear admits to being very picky about her theme on her Instagram page, which has ony added to her success.

The mum takes ages to choose the right photo to upload to her feed, and always tries to use photos shot in natural light for consistency, which is key.

  • Hashtags

Hashtags can be an amazing way to up your likes and follows if you choose them wisely.

Hashtags that are relevant to the post can massively drive engagement, so do some research about your niche and apply tags that work for that niche.

  • Timing

According to Eimear, the new Instagram algorithm is a 'total mind feck' for bloggers and influencers, so getting the timing of a post right is essential.

Eimear advises 9pm as the best time for people to be checking their Insta feeds to potentially like your post.

We'll be spending the evening adjusting our Instas…

Have you ever looked at the Instagrams of those girls who get paid to travel and snap gorgeous photos of their locations and been so jealous you could burst?

Well, Canon is looking for someone to fill a very unique position as it begins its search for the ultimate storyteller.

One lucky person will spend a year chasing summer across the globe in order to identify 365 inspiring stories, to help rectify the fact that the art of storytelling is getting lost in a social media feed cluttered with drunken night out snaps, selfies and hot dogs or legs holiday snaps.

A post shared by LAUREN BULLEN (@gypsea_lust) on

Canon has opened applications for one person to ‘Live For The Story.’ Applications for this role will be taken via Instagram and judged by actress, producer, musician and storyteller, Zoë Kravitz (no big deal).

The successful candidate will follow the sun across the globe, visiting destinations from Lisbon to Melbourne to Brazil, documenting their locations and experiences as they go.

'Those who think they have what it takes to inspire people to find their own stories can apply by sharing their most memorable summer story on Instagram with the story behind it (no more than 50 words), tagging @CanonUK and #LiveForTheStory.'

A post shared by Brooke Saward (@worldwanderlust) on

'Submissions will be judged on a number of elements including storytelling ability, visual appeal, originality and inspirational qualities.'

'The successful candidate will be required to travel the world chasing summer in order to identify 365 inspiring stories throughout the course of the job.'

'The role is all expenses paid and, of course, offers a holiday allowance of 365 days per annum.'

This literally sounds like the ultimate dream job.

Zoë Kravitz said: “Summer is a time of spontaneity and living in the moment.'

'We want to encourage people to live every second to the fullest, because it’s then that the best stories can happen.'

We volunteer as tribute!

So, Instagram launched four very exciting features today, including the addition of some very snapchat-esque face filters.

Their press release reads: "Today, we're introducing face filters in the camera, an easy way to turn an ordinary selfie into something fun and entertaining."

"Whether you're sitting on the couch at home or out and about, face filters help you express yourself and have playful conversations with friends."

We're having some fun with the new Instagram #facefilters today what do you think of them?

A post shared by Bottle (@wearebottle) on

Sound familiar?

The first set of face filters will include things like, furry koala ears, golden crowns and maths equations swirling around your head.

The feature is accessible by simply tapping the new icon at the bottom right corner of the screen, and just like Snapchat, some filters work when more than one person is in frame.

But that's not all.

The image sharing platform has rolled out three more "creative tools"  for us to play with – 'Hashtag stickers', 'Eraser brush' and 'Rewind'.

Hashtag stickers allow the user to decorate their stories while linking back to other Instagram content.

The new 'Eraser brush' gives you the ability to remove certain sections of you doodles.

While the new 'Rewind' setting allows you to record and share videos in reverse.

Of course, Snapchat filters will always have a special place in our hearts, but we have to admit, we're pretty excited to try these out.

So, in today's instalment of bizarre Instagram beauty trends that leave us confused, we give you – yellow blush.

The bold look has been popping up all over the site and beauty bloggers have started sharing their own interpretations.

Love it or hate it, people are making a pretty convincing argument in favour of the non-traditional colour.

Brooklyn-based makeup artist Katie Jane Hughes assured Allure that the bright colour is actually a universally flattering shade.

Yellow hues occur naturally in most skin tones, so essentially, the blush is just bringing out what's already there.

Some make-up enthusiasts have teamed the blush with a dramatic eye.

While others have opted for a toned down look.

Looks like my amazing vegan lunch is giving me some after glow, but it's actually just yellow blusher!

A post shared by Phoebe (@veganunicorngirl) on

So, whether you're looking for a fun festival look, or a simple healthy glow, yellow blush might be the thing missing from your make-up bag.

And we have to admit, we're not hating it.

Getting the likes on Instagram is, to some people, a pretty important aspect of the entire posting process.

Putting the time and effort into creating and editing the perfect image can make people feel good, so posting at a prime time is worth it when you want the world to see your latest pic.

Hopper HQ has done some research into the best time to post a photo on Instagram, leading to more likes.

The best time on weekdays is between 6pm-7.30pm, simply because this is the time that most people are on the app.

Because there are more people on the app, there are more chances that your post will be engaged with, thereby garnering more likes.

11am at the weekend is also prime time to post, so get to brunch early if you want to optimise your likes on a Sunday morning.

The research also found that posts with captions do better overall, but don't make them too long, as posts with captions where the viewer has to click 'read more' receive a significantly lower amount of likes than those with short and snappy lines.

And as for filters, Gingham is the most popular and attracts the most likes and comments.

Happy snapping!

Trending

Our Instagram feeds would feel incomplete without a stylised snap of our superfood salad, or a table flat lay shot of Sunday brunch, mimosas included.

But according to new research, we shouldn't actually be snapping photos of our food before we dig in.

As well as the social faux pas of making our food go cold and preventing everyone at the table from eating in the pursuit of the perfect picture, a study has shown that paying too much detail to the appearance of our food makes us enjoy the overall experience less.

Overexposure to food, brought on by looking at it for ages to create that gorgeous picture, leads to pre-satiation.

The study established 'sensory simulations as an important mechanism underlying satiation, and provides behavioural evidence that simple evaluations can produce sensory-specific satiety.'

This basically means that you're bored of the food before you even start eating it, and where's the fun in that?

'When we Instagram, we inherently must focus our attention on the item in the picture, even for that very brief moment,' the paper's co-author Professor Joseph Redden told The Independent

'This can have a range of effects on later enjoyment.'

So essentially, spending so much time 'gramming your food means that you're taking less time to enjoy it, which can ultimately lead to you not getting as much satisfaction from the meal as you could have.

And we'd much rather eat the perfect meal at it's best than get a few extra likes on Insta.
