Harry Styles has revealed that he loves nothing more than to Google himself!

While most celebrities dread to read the things that the internet has to say about them, Harry embraces it.

The singer told Very magazine: “I’ve done it once. It was good though.”

Just once, eh Harry? The One Directioner then went on to say that he often Googles the band in general, saying: “I Google [One Direction]. If there’s been something in a paper. I’ll Google it to look at it online.”

Hmm, we’re not sure that’s a very healthy habit, Harry! Although, given that it is Harry, we reckon there is much more positive press than negative out there!

In the last two years dating has become increasingly easier. Most people don’t even need to leave their houses to meet new people. Since this kind of thing can be quite dangerous, make sure you know a friend of the person at least. It will seriously annoy you if they are a catfish and you will have to sit in a bar with them for 30 minutes, while you realize what a shit situation you are in. Apps have changed the dating game and most will say for the better. But here are the ones that have made the biggest impact:

1. Tinder

Probably the most famous of all, specifically targeted towards dating, in 24 languages, you could find your perfect match. Or, just realize you fancy no one that lives near you. All hail Tinder and the random hook ups it has created.

2. Snapchat

Ah Snapchat! An innocent way to send a photo of you with your boobs out to the whole population of males or females in your city. There is nothing that Snapchat cannot do. And, in case anyone was wondering, people will know who you have been Snapchatting – very territorial all together.

3. Whatsapp

Whatsapp is a device where texting is seen in a more casual manner. The group named after your cleverly titled group of friends is how you keep up appearances. Your Whatsapp photo may define you, so, choose carefully. Also, if there are any naked selfies floating about, they will fly through Whatsapp as quick as a flash.

4. Instagram

If you want to know who is the sap out of your group or if someone is in a relationship – take to Instagram. There will be couple selfies, sorry, #couplie’s. There will be presents they have received and there will be that awkward first date you both had. Liking on Instagram is also a way to know who is looking at your photos.

5. Facebook

Poke here and poke there, poking wars have become quite the Facebook epidemic. Who you talk to on chat, or who likes your photos, could be the sign of a new relationship. Numbers are exchanged and soon you will be in contact with your new date. Facebook has opened gates for us all.

6. Google

When you meet someone on a night out, on Tinder or through Facebook you will most likely Google them to make sure they aren’t a convicted felon. Google carefully and wisely. Add every single thing you know about them into the search bar – make it easier on yourself.

7. Twitter

Twitter is a very casual way to find someone. Many random people follow each other. It just isn’t as private as Facebook or Whatsapp. Anything you put on Twitter you are letting the world see. If you say where you were for dinner people will know your exact where abouts. So, don’t expect privacy on this yoke – unless your profile is fiercely private of course.

People might think you’re mad – but you’ve fallen for someone online.

You’re not alone as so many people in this technological generation are finding love through dating sites, on Facebook, or anywhere else.

However, while it may be legit and for real, there are some steps you should take to ensure this person is who they say you are.

It’s a lot easier than pretending there is no chance and being hurt later on.

1. Google, google, google
Use Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Skype to make sure this person is who they say they are. If they have more than one social profile with the same picture/name/details then there is more of a chance the are who they say.

2. Facebook photos
If their Facebook photos are all of their “modelling” or DJing” days then that may be a bad sign. Is there photos of everyday things also? Of that same model doing normal things, looking normal? It may also be a bad sign if there is only one or two pictures.

3. Videochat
Insist of videochat – they will surely want to if they have nothing to hide, right? If they hold off or have some terrible excuse (“I have no camera”…please) then there is probably a reason why.

4. Too good to be true?
So they are a billionaire with their own helicopter and spend 4 months of the year cruising the Greek Islands in their own private yacht…Right. Ok, it’s not impossible, but don’t be naive either.

5. Face to Face
Try to meet up as soon as you establish mutual admiration. Always, always meet in a very public place in daylight hours and bring a friend. Don’t put yourself at risk.

There is a new wedding trend on the rise and we are torn on it.

You could now, for a hefty sum, hire a social media coordinator to make sure your wedding is on the net. As it happens.

Yes, that’s right, somebody who would take pretty Instagram photos, live tweet the whole day, make Pinterest boards and Vine videos all for your big day.

The trend was advertised by W Hotels in NYC who were giving couples the chance to hire a social media coordinator for the price of $3,000. Eek, that is steep!

While it does sound a little bit extravagant and an added cost that you may not need, it would be nice to know that people are interacting with your big day on the internet as it happens.

Plus, if you look stunning anyway, think of how you’ll look with an Instagram filter….

Long gone are the days when all a teen had to worry about was hiding their diary under their mattress.

A new study has revealed that the majority of parents regularly check their children’s online activity, despite how guilty it makes them feel.

Internet safety firm, BullGuard, conducted a survey of 2,000 parents and found that six out of 10 mums and dads read their youngsters’ emails, texts and Facebook messages.

Despite feeling guilty, parents are saying that this snooping is necessary in order to keep a close eye on their kids.

20% of parents say they’ve been “shocked” by the content they found in their child’s text messages or Facebook accounts, with 17% intervening after a child was threatened online.

Suddenly our penned crushes on the boy down the road don’t seem so scandalous, do they, mum?
