It’s been two years since former radio DJ Jenny Huston left 2FM and embarked on an entirely new dream…jewellery designing!

Edge Only, the new Irish-made jewellery line is everything we have been looking for; high quality, solid sterling silver and carat gold pieces in edgy designs.

We all love to pick up statement pieces from our favourite high-street stores, but often it isn’t long before our fingers are turning green – and this was a big inspiration behind Jenny’s new company.

She decided that rather than “buying one junk piece” she would invest in some quality jewellery – but was left disappointed: “Nothing reflected my personality” she says.

Everything was “very formal” and just not for everyday wear.

So she decided to make her own line of jewellery that reflected her personality perfectly!

Going from spinning all of the latest indie-rock hits to designing Irish-made jewellery certainly seems like a major change, but it sounds as if jewellery has been in Jenny’s life for quite some time.

Her mother, Jane, directed and trained the Crafts Council of Ireland’s Jewellery Skills Course for over 15 years.

As a result, Jenny was brought up around workshops, precious metals and gems and many talented people – many of whom she uses in her new company – as she says herself: “It would be crazy not to use these people my mum has trained.”

So has Jenny completely left her music days behind her? Not at all – one look at the Rock & Roll collection at Edge Only will tell you that, as she says: “I’m going from being an indie rock DJ to a jewellery designer; I thought I should reflect that.”

She also added that her love for music “will never change” and she has “such fond memories” of her days as a DJ.

Jenny has used the past two years very wisely indeed saying she travelled a lot before settling back to learn everything she needed to before launching Edge Only: “I did lots of business courses … tried to cram as much in as I could.”

Well, it certainly looks as if it’s paid off as the company, which only launched on the 16th September, is gearing up to release a further two collections: Everyday Icons and Bugs which will appear on the site on the 30th October – we can't wait!

Jenny spoke of her love for the Everyday Icons collection in particular, loving the screw, nuts, bolts and other everyday things we see fashioned into statement jewellery we can wear everyday, anywhere.

Edge Only isn't just for the ladies either!

There is also an extensive range for men – with cufflinks, tie bars and rings, all made from high-quality precious metals that would make the perfect gift for any occasion!

Let's face it, ladies – we could always use a little help when it comes to choosing presents for boys!

What does she love most about her collection?

Well that seems to be twofold, as she says she loves the fact that the pieces made by Edge Only can be worn on an everyday basis with a casual outfit, or dressed up for a glam night out. The other important aspect to her new business that she loves is that it is all Irish-made, as she says it has always been an important thing for her to “support local designers”.

If everyday statement jewellery is what you are looking for, with high-quality, fashionable, and locally made – then Edge Only is the place for you!

The website also has a great advice section on caring for your precious metals, as well as products you can buy that will keep your jewellery gleaming for years to come!

Don't forget to check out Edge Only on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram!

Rachel McAdams has said that during the filming of Mean Girls, she was completely in awe of Lindsay Lohan!

The actress was speaking with Allure magazine when she said: “If anything, I was in awe of her talent. I looked at her as this experienced actor, and she had great comedic timing, so natural.”

While Lindsay’s acting career has taken something of a nosedive in recent years, Rachel has gone from strength to strength, starring in amazing movies such as The Notebook and Midnight in Paris.

At least she still speaks highly of her troubled former co-star, such a lady!

Well, this is awkward! Cameron Diaz and Jason Segal did a radio interview for Australian radio show The Kyle and Jackie O Show to promote their new movie, Sex Tape, and it didn’t go so well…

It all began to go downhill after host, Kyle, mentioned Drew Barrymore’s dark past, with Cam firing back at him, saying: “I’m sure you’ve never been through a drug phase Kyle have you or alcoholism?”

He then made it all ten time worse by mentioning Cameron’s new boyfriend, Benji. Needless to say, Cameron drew the line there and a short time later said they had to finish up.

Jackie O was quick to blame her co-host for the awkward interview, saying: “You ruined that interview, sorry to be blunt. You brought up Drew Barrymore, her best friend’s drug addiction in the past. And then you brought up Benji and we all know how protective Cameron is about her private life. So the two things that probably would get her off-side, you went there.”

Eek, maybe next time, eh?!

Mila Kunis must have been having a bad day when Stephen Whitty of The Star Ledger met her for an interview. The journalist started out by asking the star how she was feeling, a common curtesy, according to him:

“Now, in most interviews, this question would normally just be a polite bit of throat-clearing. But here there’s a bit of genuine added concern on my part as she is pregnant.”

However, Mila didn’t take it well and replied coldly: “I don’t talk about that for publication”.

Whitty was taken aback by this as Mila has spoken about her pregnancy at great length to Ellen, Jimmy Kimmel and Marie Claire magazine. Obviously she’d had enough.

The interview continued to go badly when Whitty asked her if she was keen to take on more dramatic roles as a challenge:

“I hate when people ask me this question. People have this misconception that comedy’s easy…I’m always looking for challenges and I find a lot of things to be challenging. It can be the director, the producer, a lot of things. I just want to work with people more talented than I am that I can learn from.”

To top it all off, when Mila was asked about moving to the USA from Ukraine when she was seven-years old, she shut him down completely:

“I’ve talked about me moving to America in a hundred interviews. It’s the most mundane subject possible, it’s like everyone’s immigrant story.

“I know what your next question is so let’s just skip it. You’re going to ask me what I think about what’s going on now in Ukraine. Just because I lived there until I was seven doesn’t mean I identify with Ukraine.”

Ouch! We wouldn’t want to get on Mila’s bad side!

Lana Del Rey has voiced her thoughts on the controversial interview in which she said: “I wish I was dead already.”

The singer is not at all happy with The Guardian journalist, Tim Jonze (who she mistakes for Alexis in her tweets), who conducted the interview.

Lana took to her Twitter to voice her unhappiness, writing in a series of three tweets: “I regret trusting the guardian- i didn’t want to do an interview but the journalist was persistent. Alexis was masked as a fan … but was hiding sinister ambitions and angles Maybe he’s actually the boring one looking for something interesting to write about … his leading questions about death and persona were calculated.”

Yikes!

However, the journalist wasn’t going to take this lying down and wrote an article in which he said: “It’s not uncommon for interviwees to read what they’ve actually said, be horrified and decide it’s the writer’s fault … Besides the fact that Lana doesn’t actually remember who interviewed her, there are a number of things about her statement that sound iffy to me.”

It doesn’t look like this controversy is going to go away any time soon!

A big hug is an unbeatable cure for lots of things – even a tricky question that could have easily rocked the boat big time.

When a reporter for a Russian television station asked the question, “Is there any place for politics in space?” these three International Space Station crew members from three different countries didn’t need words to answer.

Instead, Alexander Gerst of Germany, Maxim Suraev of Russia and American Reid Wiseman let their love do the talking with a heartwarming group hug.

“This is our answer” Reid Wiseman said in Russian.

“Yes, this is our answer for everyone to see,” Suraev added.

The display of international friendship took place at a news conference in Kazakhstan this week on the eve of the crew’s departure for a six-month mission at the International Space Station.

We love it!

Uh oh, didn’t she predict this?

It looks like Jennifer Lawrence has angered A LOT of people with an inappropriate joke she made at the Cannes Film Festival recently.

When Jen was approached by Gravity director, Alfonso Cuarón, at a party, she was overheard saying to him: “I broke out my rape scream for you!”

As much as we love Jennifer, we don’t think it’s ever okay to joke about rape, on any level.

The actress had previously said in an interview with Marie Claire that her time at the top may be coming to an end: “Nobody can stay beloved forever. I never believed it. The whole time I was like, just wait: People are going to get sick of me.”

Eek, could this be the end of the love affair between Jen and the public?
