Ed Sheeran has been slaying in 2017, after dropping two singles from his album to huge success.

Fans have been desperate to hear more from the red-headed singer, and he has just taken to Twitter to reveal ALL of the song names on the new album.

One song in particular caught people's eye, as it pays homage to one of the west's finest counties.

The track, entitled Galway Girl, is sure to be a complete winner in the Irish charts.

Ed also previously revealed that he will be shooting a music video for the new song in Ireland.

“I’m definitely shooting a video for the song in Ireland,” he told Eoghan McDermott on his 2FM show.

“I’ve got a trad band called Beoga. They’re actually from Belfast, but they’ve – it’s a fiddle, a pipe, a bodhrán and piano. And we really jam,” he explained.

“It’s going to be good. I do think I’ll never be able to play another song in Ireland again because this will be the song."

Thats not all – Ed also admitted that there will be a song about another Irish county on the website and bonus album.

“There’s a song on the bonus album that’s about Co. Wexford so there’s two Irish jams on there both with full trad.”

The also suggested that he will bo hosting auditions for the video in Ireland as he needs "proper ceili dancers."

While we all love the original version of Galway Girl, we bet Ed's rendition will be beyond excellent.

When it comes to special sporting moments, Ireland has had quite a few in 2016.

However, according to research from One4all, the Ireland rugby team’s defeat of the almighty All Blacks for the first time in 111 years was the nation’s happiest sporting moment of the year – so say four out of ten people polled.

Meanwhile, the O’Donovan brothers revealing their ‘steak, spuds and pull like a dog’ strategy to RTÉ Sport was chosen as the second happiest sporting occasion of 2016 (13 percent). And the memorable moment Robbie Brady scored against Italy in Euros 2016 came a close third with 12 percent.

The survey, which was carried out among 1,352 adults in Ireland, furthermore revealled that the week-long Irish heatwave in July was the happiest non-sporting moment in Ireland this year (39 percent), followed by the 1916 centenary celebrations at the GPO – close-to a third of people felt that was the year's high point.

It seems President Michael D has put a smile on quite a few people’s faces in 2016 with 14 percent of Irish adults saying the photo of him queueing to use an ATM was one of their happiest non-sporting moments of the year.

One4all also revealed that eight in ten adults say that they feel happier at Christmas time than any other time of the year – with Christmas Eve being more exciting for most than the big day itself.

The brand said in response to the findings: “It’s great to know that for most people, 2016 has been a happy year. From special sporting moments and monumental events to spending time with your family and friends, it’s clear that happiness comes in all shapes and sizes.  “

“This Christmas you can make your gift personal by giving a One4all gift card and let your loved one choose something that will make them smile, bringing them some extra happiness to top off 2016!”

The competition's Instagram page shared a photo earlier of a male contestant on a green screen, but because it's so blurry we can't really make it out.

Some have guessed that it could be Anton Savage, Brian Kennedy or Joe Duffy.

In the biggest "are they or aren't they" since Cheryl and Liam, Four Loko has been under serious scrutiny after a Facebook page cropped up claiming that the infamous beverage was coming to our fair isle.

The page was since proven to be a hoax, after Phusion Projects confirmed to SHEmazing! that the @FourLokoEire page was not affiliated with the brand in any way.

And that should have been that.

Or so we thought.

That's because in an exclusive chat with SHEmazing! Four Loko told us this afternoon: "We recognise the tremendous potential opportunity in Ireland, which is why we will very likely be launching there in the near future."

CELEBRATE!

While there is no set launch date for the alcoholic fizzy drink, fingers crossed we won't have long to wait to get our Four Loko fix.

If you've ever been on a J1 to the States, or even heard war stories from those who have, you will be well aware of the mythical Four Loko.

For those not in the know, Four Loko is a malt liquor drink which comes in a 750ml can, and has a 12 percent alcohol content.

Watch out, ladies, because Kit Harrington is in Northern Ireland!

The star is currently filming season seven of Game of Thrones, and has been spotted out and about in Belfast.

He's a firm fave among fans there as he rarely says no to a picture. He was also spotted his girlfriend, former GOT co-star Rose Leslie. Rumour had it that the pair had split up, but if she's following him over to our green shores, we'd say they're very much still together.

Have you spotted any other GOT cast?

Whether you went to a Catholic school with the nuns or a liberal non-denominational, having “the talk” has never been easy as a young Irish person.

The focus of most sexual education is purely mechanical, and while contraception is discussed it’s definitely not always an in-depth topic.

That’s why it’s not surprising that new national research of Irish women carried out by HRA Pharma has revealed that 80 percent of Irish women have some serious misconceptions about the morning after pill.

Indeed, 36 percent of Irish women surveyed said that they had heard that the morning after pill works by triggering a “mini-abortion,” which simply isn’t true.

The morning after pill works by delaying an egg’s release, so when the sperm arrives at the fallopian tubes there will be no egg there waiting to consummate the meeting.

It works pretty much just like the regular contraceptive pill, just in an emergency context, but taking the morning after pill wont effect your regular pill either.

A photo posted by Fanny (@fame_paris) on

Women also seemed to think that the morning after pill is hard to find, with almost a quarter of women viewing the pill as being difficult to access.

The pill is available over the counter at almost all Irish pharmacies, including Boots, and there is no prescription necessary unless you need to get it free on the medical card.

There are also plenty of different types of morning after pills to suit whatever stage of post-coitus you’re at.

One of the most serious misconceptions Irish women have is that taking the morning after pill more than once will make them infertile.

“Emergency contraception has no effect on future fertility,” according to HRA Pharma.

More than one in ten (11 percent) of Irish women surveyed also said that they had heard that emergency contraception can be taken any time after having unprotected sex and will still be effective, but like all things that sound too good to be true, this is.

The sooner you use emergency contraception after sex, the more effective it will be, and most pills can only be taken up to five days after the big event.

With all of these misconceptions, along with the sky-high price of the pills in Ireland, it’s no wonder that there is still an associated stigma attached to emergency contraceptives.

Trending

It's hard to belive that just over a decade ago, the morning after pill was illegal on Irish shores.

While it was legalised in 2003, it has only been available from your local pharmacy since 2011, with a consultation.

According to the British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BPAS), the morning-after pill should be available to buy straight from pharmacy shelves without the need for a private patient consultation.

These consultations usually consist of a short meeting to discus general details, allergies, and contraceptive methods, according to one pharmacist.

The price of these pills comes in at about €35, the highest price in Europe, and according to the BPAS "women are paying the ultimate sexist surcharge on their sex lives,"because of the inflated price.

The emergency contraceptive is available on the medical card, but only after a GP visit to procure a prescription.

"This is neither right nor fair," says the BPAS.

"It is utterly stupid that we have made a medication which gives women a second chance of avoiding an unwanted pregnancy so hard to obtain,” said Ann Furedi, chief executive of BPAS.

BPAS is calling on the Department of Health to reclassify the morning-after pill as a general sales list drug, which would allow people to buy it directly from shop shelves like condoms.

“There is no financial justification for the high price of this pill, nor clinical reason for a consultation before it can be sold," said the chief executive.

According to the BPAS, eliminating the need for the consultation could drive down the price of the pills.

The price of the pill has been branded as "sexist," after one Pharmaceutical Journal report said that the price was to ensure women wouldn't take the pill often.

"The price has been set, in part, to ensure that EHC is not used as a regular method of contraception," it read.
