ITV2

We've all noticed Love Island's resident Irish contestant Yewande NEVER being on screen. Literally never. The jacuzzi gets more air-time.

It seems the show's viewers have also seen the annoying pattern, and are hitting out at the ITV2 dating show for failing to give Callum, Michael and Yewande their due time on screen.

Those involved in all the drama and love triangles such as Lucie, Joe and Tommy are bound to be seen more, and 24 hours of footage has to be snipped down, but still.

Viewers claimed that Yewande, among other islanders, were being purposefully left out from the episodes, and host Caroline Flack tried to explain the reasoning behind this,

She felt it was more because of the show's main moments, and who has feelings for a fellow islander. Yewande has fancies Curtis, but that's about it. Plus he's a taken man.

On Love Island: Aftersun, Flack said; “We haven’t really seen enough of Yewande yet have we, but is it purely because she just hasn’t fancied anyone…”

AJ Odudu was a guest on the panel, and confessed that she believes Yewande has self-esteem issues and isn't ready to take on romance as of yet.

“I think Yewande has self-esteem issues, I really do, I feel like she’s her biggest barrier in there," she said.

Viewers and the entire panel are hoping that she'll find love in the form of new islander; Danny Williams.

The newbie will take Yewande and Amber out on a date tonight, stay tuned to see what happens. Judging by his massive ego, we think he's a better match for Amber though…damn it…

Well, it's that time of the year again.

The moment where the sun comes out and all common sense retires, as you sit back on the couch and watch people in minimal clothing pretend to love each other.

Yep...Love Island is back. The fifth season is set to be bigger than ever, with an expanded villa and more twists up Caroline Flack's sleeve.

It's too hot to be wearing sleeves in Spain but you know what I mean.

The reality television show places young, attractive people who are 'unlucky-in-love'/massive players/lacking self-esteem/want money or attention into a house and they must find romance to win the £50,000 prize for best couple.

Now, this was my first Love Island viewing, and at first I was in a state of shock.

Then, as my IQ lowered, I could feel myself getting hooked on it. However, one thing kept annoying me and apparently the entire nation agrees: Lucie trying to make 'bev' happen as a word.

The 21-year-old surfer from Newquay who professed to wanting 'a dude' (vague, much?) and then did not pick a 'dude', continuously used the phrases 'a bev', 'bevvy', 'bevs', 'your bev', 'my bev' roughly 209347412 times.

It was honestly exhausting and I lost count fairly quickly of how many times she said it.

Here's what Twitter had to say. Trust me, they had a LOT to get off their chests.

What Lucie thinks a 'bev' is versus the rest of the UK is quite different…

"‘Lucie, are you here to find love?'

‘Nah, I just wanna make a Primark tee slogan, init bev.'

'When Lucie keeps saying Bev or Bevy'.

Of course, there was the Mean Girls reference: "Lucie. Stop trying to make 'bevs' happen. It's not going to happen."

Listen to Regina George, gal. She's got wisdom.

"No one:

Absolutely no one:

Not a soul:

Lucie: 'haha i love BEVS you look BEVVY you BEVVY BEV boy.'"

The state of frustration was too much for some people:

To be honest, what else were they expecting?

Remember, Irish viewers need to support our homegirl and resident brain of the house Yewande.

She's been receiving racial abuse since it was announced that she was entering the house, and it's NOT ON. She was also picked last and her beauty is being underappreciated, okay? Help a sis out.

Diversity is merely one issue in a large spectrum of problems perpetuated by ITV2's hit reality show Love Island.

It speaks volumes that Irish contestant Yewande Biala has already been racially abused by trolls only hours after she was announced as part of the cast.

The 23-year-old is among the 12 participants entering the Spanish villa for the summer, which sees the Islanders couple-up and compete for the cash prize.

The scientist, who is of Nigerian descent but is from Enfield in County Meath, has seen her friends leap to her defence after online bullies asked racist questions regarding her nationality.

One troll remarked that Biala is "far from Irish", while another said, "not Irish and never will be." *Rings bell* SHAME

Luckily, her fans leaped to her aid, saying, "“Born and raised here I’m pretty sure that makes her Irish.” Another wrote, "Just because she hasn’t got white skin doesn’t mean she’s not Irish. Small minded people.”

The Dubliner who is self-confessed unlucky-in-love has seen her Instagram followers increase from 3,000 to more than 21,000 in just one day.

"I don’t think there is a science to finding love and if there is then I have clearly been reading the wrong books," she said of her love life. Twitter supporters were over the moon to see representation onscreen.

One fan wrote: “Today has been a great day for black Irish women…A black Irish woman was elected to the Irish local council and a black Irish woman is gonna be on Love Island."

A Wakanda-level protection group has been made online: "Black Twitter listen the hell up. We are gonna support our queen Yewande Biala to the end no questions, no fuss.. it is what it is.”

“Officially announcing that I am apart of the Yewande Biala defence squad #LoveIsland," wrote another fan.

These ignorant scumbags who are targeting Biala are no match for her fan-base, and we are loving it. We stan an Irish queen.

“She’s beautiful and looks incredible in a bikini and unlike other previous stars of the show doesn’t have masses of Instagram followers.”

According to her Instagram, Amber is pals with last year's contestant Adam Collard and Geordie Shore's Holly Hagan.

"If you don’t have a sense of humour go away," her Instagram bio reads. We'll just retreat into the distance then…

The Sun also revealed last week that the ex-girlfriend of Leicester City footballer James Maddison, Molly-Mae Hague, is also signing on to the series.

19-year old blonde bombshell Molly was hand-picked by producers for the Spanish villa thanks to her impressive social media presence.

Other possible contestants include 26-year-old British Airways stewardess Amy Hart, and the younger brother of boxer Tyson Fury, Tommy.

Fury confirmed his younger brother Tommy will be taking part on an MMA show, saying: “He’s a good looking young kid and I think he’s going to be a hit with the ladies on it."

Soph Piper, AKA Rochelle Humes' younger sis, was also favourite to star but insiders revealed that she is weighing up her options before making the ultimate decision.

The full line-up of the show's fifth season will be revealed by ITV this week. Monday, June 3 is the official start date for the much-anticipated series to return.

We are hoping that this isn't true – but if it is, it's truly shocking.

Love Islanders will be earning little more than the minimum wage for their appearance on a Christmas special.

Reportedly, the former contestants, including winners Jack and Dani will be making a measly £10 an hour – OUCH.

The Christmas TV special will feature the 21 contestants who called the Love Island villa their home earlier this year.

And their low pay has come as a surprise for the Love Islanders too, who are understandably not impressed.

A source told The Sun: “They have been in uproar over being paid so little for two days’ work. It almost isn’t worth hours of awkward conversation with your ex — which for many of the islanders will be the case now."

“A few have even discussed dropping out to avoid any unnecessary aggravation. The low fees have also upset their agents, who are used to dealing with much bigger contracts,” they added.

Additionally, some contestants reportedly said that their pay would just about cover their travel to the event.

Host Caroline Flack is expected to return in all her glory for the ITV2 special.

The festive reunion does promise a whole lot of drama as loyal Georgia Steel will be back to face up to Sam Bird.

The couple split after Sam announced that Georgia had been secretly staying with an ex-boyfriend –  Ekkk, AWKS, Sam you need to read this article.

And of course, we can't forget Laura Anderson and Paul Knops which will make for some entertaining telly.

Lovebirds Jack and Dani will be back to dish the dirt on how they've been getting on since the villa.

And who knows, perhaps this will be the perfect moment for Jack to bend the knee and propose to Dani?

One thing is for certain, the Love Islander won't be relying on their paychecks from their TV appearance to pay the bills.

It may be over for another year, but the dramz from Love Island is the gift that keeps on giving.

We were heartbroken to find out last week the fan fave and all-round sound gal Laura Anderson had split from ''Cool'' (seriously, where did that come from?) Paul Knops.

However, it seems that now that summers over and those rose-tinted specs are well and truly off, that the couples are dropping like flies.

The latest victims?

None other than Seriously Hot Jack Fowler and Surf Gal Laura Crane.

They were hardly gonna get married and I mean, they had a bit of a rocky start.

Remember Laura C bawling on the roof terrace to Laura A about how much she liked Jack literally hours after he'd dumped Laura A?

The pair had been dating for two months since leaving the villa but Laura confirmed the news that they were no longer together.

She said, ''Sadly Jack and I have both decided to go our separate ways due to such busy schedules right now and not having the time to spend together.''

What an emotional dumping! Time for Jack and Laura to surf off into the sunset. #LoveIsland

A post shared by Love Island (@loveisland) on

She continued, “I feel truly blessed to have got to share my Love Island experience with him and to have made a friend for life. We will carry on supporting each other on this journey and I can’t wait to see where it takes us.''

What did Jack have to say about all fo this?

The 22-year-old explained, ''we met in extraordinary circumstances and had an amazing time getting to know each other, both whilst in the villa and outside of it but our lives are currently taking us in different directions.''

“We will remain friends and I will support her in whatever she does. I wish her all the best. See you soon surfer girl!”

It all sounds very mutual and happy so who are we to judge?

Although, what's that saying – things come in threes?

Right, Jack and Dani, if you're reading this you better not be getting any ideas..
