Fans of The Only Way is Essex went into meltdown this week when they got news that Jake Hall had been hospitalised after becoming involved in a nightclub brawl in Marbella in the early hours of Monday morning.

Having been reportedly placed in intensive care after sustaining stab wounds, the reality star took to social media last night to thanks his fans and followers for their support over the past few days.

"Thank you so much for everyone's support and getting me through this," he tweeted to his 158,000 followers. "I'm getting better, thanks to everyone."

The star, who had been partying in popular night spot Aqwa Mist when the incident took place, was rushed to the Costa Del Sol hospital, but appears to be on the road to recovery.

"Nurses and doctors are best people on Earth the way they look after you and help is just something else all deserve much more, thank you," he added alongside a photo of him giving a thumbs up from his hospital bed.

The star's Twitter has been flooded with well wishes since he reached out to his fans, with one writing: "Awwww, kills me to see you like this. Been sending lots of love& prayers your way babe."
