Jason Momoa

It looks like the rain isn’t going anywhere this weekend so we’ll be staying indoors and hibernating in front of the TV.

Luckily, you will be pleasantly entertained with dozens of shows and movies airing on the TV across the weekend.

As usual, we will be tuning into The Graham Norton Show which never fails to brighten our Friday nights. The chat show is bound to cheer us up on this dreary Friday with another stellar line-up.

The Corkman will be joined by two of our favourite Game of Thrones stars. Emilia Clarke will chat to Graham about her new movie Last Christmas, which we’re unbearably excited about.

You may have heard a thing or two about Jason Momoa, the Aquaman star who got his big break after playing the terrifying Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones.

He's infamous for the role, in which he portrays the chieftain of the Dothraki tribe and the husband of the Mother of Dragons, played by Emilia Clarke.

However, the language barrier meant that Momoa had very few lines, and most of his actions were pretty violent, so he wasn't exactly likeable.

I mean, the guy is SCARY.

Momoa visited the Graham Norton show this week to promote his character in the DC universe, Aquaman, and his struggle following his turn in Game of Thrones.

His character was killed off in 2011, and the actor admits that his career took a slight dive after his role ended; "I didn't get much work after that," Momoa says.

Describing the reaction of those who meet him in person, he said;

"I mean, what do you do with that – his character doesn't speak English, he's not funny and he just hurts people. I played that character well so it was a bit challenging afterwards. People would literally say, 'Wow, you speak English!'"

Momoa reprised his starring role in Game of Thrones for a GAS Saturday Night Live sketch, though his time on the fantasy show is over.

The actor told Digital Spy a while back that he's not featured in any scenes for the final season of the HBO phenomenon, saying: "Yeah… he's not coming back. Nine years now, let him go."

Watch the full interview with Jason Momoa on The Graham Norton show tomorrow, Aquaman is out now in the UK.

If you need us, we'll be rewatching the full SNL sketch multiple times…

KHAL DROGO FOREVER.

Trending

Game of Thrones star, Jason Momoa, has issued an apology after footage emerged which showed him making light of sexual violence.

The actor was appearing at a Comic-Con panel in 2011 when he discussed the character of Khal Drogo, and the arc of his storyline in the HBO show.

In a move which led many of his fellow panellists to balk, the 38-year-old made a flippant remark about raping women.

"As far as sci-fi and fantasy, I love that there's so many things you can do, like rip someone's tongue out of their throat and get away with it and rape beautiful women," he said.

The emergence of the footage has left social media users disgusted – something which Jason addressed in an Instagram post yesterday.

"I awoke in Australia to the justified reactions by many people to a distasteful joke I made years ago in Hall H for which I am sorry," he began.

I APOLOGISE Aloha j

"I am still severely disappointed in myself at the insensitivity of my remarks that day. I know the sincerest apology now won't take away those hurtful remarks."

Adding to this, he wrote: "Rape and sexual harassment can reach anyone and I have seen first hand its painful torment among members of my own family and friends."

"I made a truly tasteless comment. It is unacceptable and I sincerely apologise with a heavy heart for the words that I said."

The footage emerged as Hollywood shines a light on the industry's abhorrent treatment of women.
