Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan have announced that they have separated after nine years of marriage. The pair shared the heartbreaking news in a joint statement online.

The Step Up stars remain on good terms and stated that they will always be a family, regardless of their relationship status.

They wrote:

“We have something we would like to share. First off, it feels odd that we have to share this kind of thing with everyone, but it’s a consequence of the lives we’ve chosen to lead, which we also happen to be deeply grateful for. We’re living in an incredible moment in time, but it’s also a time where truth can easily get distorted into ‘alternative facts.

We have lovingly chosen to separate as a couple. We fell deeply in love so many years ago and have had a magical journey together. Absolutely nothing has changed about how much we love one another, but love is a beautiful adventure that is taking us on different paths for now. There are no secrets nor salacious events at the root of our decision — just two best-friends realizing it’s time to take some space and help each other live the most joyous, fulfilled lives as possible. We are still a family and will always be loving dedicated parents to Everly. We won’t be commenting beyond this, and we thank you all in advance for respecting our family’s privacy. Sending lots of love to everyone, Chan&Jenna.”

Channing and Jenna met when they were filming the popular dance movie Step Up in 2006. The pair married three years later in Malibu, California.

The Vow star shares a daughter- four-year-old Everly with Jenna.

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan Tatum have never been shy when it comes to flaunting their love for the world to see, and now the actress is spilling details from the couple’s very first night together.

In a recent appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Jenna admitted that her now-husband first caught her eye while the pair were filming 2006’s Step Up. Channing on the other hand wasn’t so keen at first.

She told Ellen, “He did this whole thing where he didn’t want to be in a relationship, so I was like, ‘Look, if you want to date other people and be free, that’s fine, but we’re not going to hang out and watch movies. You’ve got to figure out what you want, because I know I want to be in a relationship with you.’’

A few days after that conversation, Channing went out for drinks with some other dancers from the film, only to realise that Jenna was the one he wanted to be with.

“He said he had the chance ‘to be free’ and he couldn’t stop thinking about me.”

At 2 a.m. the actor showed up at Jenna’s hotel room, in what was an interesting outfit to say the least.

“I go and open the door — he’s going to kill me for this — and he has underwear, a sombrero and Ugg boots, and he’s like, ‘Let’s do this.’’’

Now, we don’t know if this would be our idea of a grand romantic gesture, but nevertheless, the couple spent the night together, and the rest is history.

Channing and Jenna married in 2009 and are now the proud parents of a 3-year-old daughter, Everly.

Dancer Jenna shared a snap of her three-year-old's Santa list on Instagram, and the cute requests are melting our hearts.

The tiny tot is clearly into Disney princesses, with Tiana and Rapunzel dresses topping the list.

Fairies are clearly a big part of the toddler's life, with three different types of glitter being requested "for the fairies."

"New rocks and treasures and sea animals (maybe)" were also on the list, along with a brand new swing set. 

To top off the cuteness, the letter was finished with "I've been mostly good."

We have already watched this HILARIOUS video about 47 times…

Ellen DeGeneres, Chrissy Teigan, Olivia Munn and Jenna Dewan-Tatum have come together and created a brilliant parody video of Magic Mike. 

The video is a trailer for 'Magic Michelle,' a fake movie starring Ellen and her squad.

All of the characters are introduced to the viewers, with their special 'stripper names' appearing on the screen. 

Ellen plays the Michelle character, and can be seen in a wig and busty body suit grinding on the floor.

One of our favourite celebrity couples Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum have taken to Instagram to celebrate their seventh wedding anniversary.

The pair took to social media to share some adorable images of each other to mark the occasion.

Jenna kept her message short and sweet, simply saying “7 years” but decided to include some gorgeous snaps of the couple having fun in a photo booth.

Most of us feel that 'thinking outside of the box' when it comes to birthday presents means buying an unusual jumper or a funny card… But not Jenna Dewan Tatum.

She didn't just give Channing any old birthday cake or birthday card, nope, she got him a birthday HORSE.

Considering the success of Channing Tatum, it is easy to forget that the hunky actor is also a trained dancer. 

He did, after all, meet his super-talented wife Jenna Dewan on the set of Step Up. 

So perhaps it was only a matter of time before this duo got their own dancing television series. 

Yep, the gorgeous couple are set to produce and star in a dance competition show that has been picked up by NBC. 

While we would have been totally on-board with a Tatum-Dewan reality series, we reckon this style of show will work even better for the talented pair. 

Jenna is set to be the executive producer of the series as well as appearing as a judge. Meanwhile, Channing is currently set to produce but insiders have said that the actor will also appear on the show at least once. 

And those odds are good enough for us. 

And if the couple's appearance on Lip Sync Battle is anything to go by, we reckon this show is going to be phenomenal.

Introducing 'toddlerography', which involves copying the moves of hyperactive 2-year-olds for a workout sesh that is sure to leave you exhausted.

In an adorably funny segment for his US talkshow, James and Jenna, who is a professional dancer, rose to the challenge of taking dance lessons from toddlers. 

And it looks seriously tough, even if Jenna manages to make every movement super graceful.

We have been hearing a lot of buzz over the last couple of weeks about the hour long Lip Sync Battle special in which Channing Tatum would be taking on his wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum. 

We knew it would be pretty epic, but we definitely were not expecting this. 

As the show aired in the states yesterday, we are now free to revel in the madness as Channing emerges on a horse statue before delving into the much loved choreography for Beyonce's hit song Run the World (Girls). 

And while watching Tatum lip sync to this track with a face full of contour, a full on wig and a questionably short skirt was entertaining enough, the whole crowd and it seems, the entire Internet, flipped out appropriately when Beyonce took to the stage.

And that appropriate reaction was also captured perfectly by Jenna. 

 And the internet agrees.

In probably one of the best family photos ever, Channing Tatum posted a picture of his wife and daughter dressed as MERMAIDS. 

The photo he shared on Instagram shows his wife centre stage, donning a rather cool mermaid look with a purple sparkly tail and check shirt.

And hiding in the background is their daughter, Everly, dressed like a mini-version of her mum. How cute!

Many people commented on the photo, saying that Jenna looks preggers – but we'll just put that down to the awkward angle.

It looks like love might be in the air for two of our favourite celebs. 

After they were spotted out having dinner a few weeks ago, it's now been reported that the duo were seen kissing at Jenna Dewan Tatum's birthday party.

While a source dismissed their meal together as nothing but friendly at the time, E! News reports that the two stars were spotted locking lips on Friday night.

Niall, 22 and Selena, 23, partied the night away for Channing Tataum's wife's 35th birthday party in Boosty Bellows in LA.

According to the source, the two singers were piling on the PDA throughout the night and an insider told Us Weekly that they left together.

The source added: "Niall and Selena definitely seemed very close and like they were together. They were very close together, talking and whispering."

Earlier that night they both performed at KIIS FM's 2015 Jingle Ball, where Selena put on quite a sexy performance.

Apparently Channing, 35, is so committed to helping his daughter live her very best life that he is not opposed to crashing some fantastic parties with her.

A source has told US Weekly that the pair were spotted joining in the fun at a play space called The COOP in L.A earlier this week.

Apparently, Channing “didn’t realise it was closed for an event.” The source added that the birthday girl’s mom wasn’t exactly put out by the unexpected guests, “When the birthday girl’s momo saw them, she asked them to stay!”

The 22 Jump Street actor helped himself to some cake and entertained the moms at the party. We highly doubt it was with some of those Magic Mike routines but apparently “they freaked out” anyway.

Channing and wife Jenna’s daughter Everly was apparently pretty happy to stick with the ball pit while Channing “chatted up all the moms.”

He posted a photograph of his horse Smoke, who he rescued, on Instagram. The actor is quite the animal lover and often shares the spotlight with his beloved pets.
